The fries are some of the best I've ever had. Crispy and seasoned well. Nuggz were a good crisp too! The po'boy was so good, I have literally no complaints on anything. Service was fast and and kind, and there's trivia on Thursdays for some fun competition. I recommend trying EVERYTHING and that's my plan. Tyler and Phoenix were great serving and cooking up too!

We spent a few days in Kentucky and were glad one evening went Awry! The weather was nasty and the parking lot was full, but we circled around, found street parking, and splashed our way in. The tap room was warm and welcoming. Friendly staff greeted us and made us feel right at home. The room has a cool vibe, the graphics are fun, and the menu includes some pretty great cocktail names ("Girl Dinner" is elixir & Tito's!) Twelve beers plus a kombucha were on tap; we made it through four or five over a couple hours. The BBL Drizzy, a collab with 3rd Turn, is a hazy, fruity sour. The board says blackberry/blueberry/lemon and the lemon prevails here. The barrel-aged porter, weighing in at 7% ABV, is nicely malty. We liked 'em all1We were glad to find the kitchen open. I don't know what's in that Phoenix Sauce but it sure has a nice kick! The Red Thai Curry Wrap was a generous portion, filled with chicken and spice. Carrots and pickles are mentioned on the menu but there's just a bit in the wrap; it's mostly meat. Fries are kind of fat, probably double-fried, crispy and tasty. Chicken nugz were crispy too, with great-tasting breading. Prices are in line with similar places, though I was surprised fries didn't come with a $15 wrap (they're $5 more). In all, a cozy place to hang and taste a few beers on a rainy day!

Enjoyed a beer on their roof top seating area. Friendly staff and quick service. Small parking lot.

Great job repurposing the space! Creative beer names! Insanely friendly staff. 10/10 onion rings and I'm a huge snot about them.

One of Louisvilles newest breweries. Sitting in the former Chimera/Vgrits, Monkey wrench building. (Yes I'm that old lol). It's in the Highlands so, that means plenty of street parking and they still have the same small parking lot. I been twice already and I must say I do like this place. It still has some of the same look from the previous business. They do have food and I have heard about the Fried PB&J I have yet to try. So far my favorite beer is the Beer Me Kolsch. I do like the atmosphere here, and they have a big tv behind the bar where they show either movies or anime. Absolutely like the people here and you will definitely feel like you belong here because what could go Awry? Lol

Had a great visit to the new brewery Awry. The beer and food didn't disappoint and most importantly the service was top notch. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. I look forward to trying future beers and will definitely be back.

We went opening weekend and they were very busy. We sat at the bar and the bartender was very friendly and took good care of us. My husband got the Kennedy Compound IPA and I got the Loose Ends wheat beer and the Pile of Smiles Pale Ale. All were good! They have a small food menu so we ordered the PB&J which is deep fried pickles, banana peppers, and jalapeños with hot sauce. A perfect complement with our beers. We will be back.

Cool local spot. Beer selection is modest and those that I sampled were solid. Surprisingly large space but mostly for standing around - not a ton of seating or more private space. Bar tenders were especially busy on the night I visited but were attentive and never had to wait long. They were eager to give a run down of the beers of the day so that you could find the right one to suite your taste.

Great roof top patio! I'm so excited to have a new brewery in the neighborhood and make use of a great space. I did not snap any pics of the food but it was delicious. The menu is limited ( chicken fingers, corn ribs, fries, and salad) but they do not lack in dipping sauce. Opening night service was great. It's a walk up/window pick up type scenario.

Awry's launch has been as solid as they come. Great indoor and outdoor seating options (the 2nd floor patio is a real treat). A food menu that seems milquetoast at a glance, but is GREAT in practice and quite addictive. Most importantly, the launch lineup on the taps has been all killer, no filler. The Pile of Smiles session pale ale is the ace in the hole so far. This is the gold standard for session ales: it's easy to make this style "crushable" and light, but making it flavorful and memorable is difficult. Awry passed that test with flying colors; the Pile of Smiles is like a smooth American Pale Ale with some mango and stone fruit in the mix, and it's wonderful. If Awry decides to keep this as a permanent house beer, it'll rank among the best consistently available beers in Louisville.Don't Haze Me Bro is another standout. It's pinier than the average West Coast IPA and could be described as a Hazy APA, which is a unique and highly enjoyable niche. Fans of the classic Boulevard Wheat Ale should definitely try the Loose Ends wheat ale here as well, which is like a smokier and souped-up take on the formula.I really think Awry is well on its way to being a heavyweight in the local craft beer scene. Why not swing by and get in on the ground floor?
