American Table Family Dining

Had a nice breakfast here, pretty basic southern breakfast. The eggs and hashbrowns were cooked to order, the biscuits were pretty good and the gravy was pretty good. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 is that the hashbrowns and gravy are just lacking slightly on the southern flavor. It's a good place for a southern breakfast.

Visited here 3 times, ordered potatoes with crispy onions 3 times. Received crispy onions zero times. How hard is that to make happen??

This diner is out on the west side of town and too many times I don't think about heading out that far but I really need to more often. They have a large menu and everything I've ever had here is delicious. They serve breakfast all day and that's always nice considering breakfast is one of my favorite meals of the day. They have a nice sized parking lot. It is a little difficult getting in and out of the entrances with a wheelchair and if they ever remodel that's the first place I would start. The inside has a cozy atmosphere and has several different size tables as well as several booths to sit in. They offer several different specials thruout the day.On my visit today it was pretty packed but it didn't take long at all for our server to bring menus out and get drink orders. Once we decided what we were going to have it didn't take more than 10 minutes to have our food in front of us. Everything was fresh, hot and tasty. At my table we had a BLT, a half order of biscuits and gravy and I had one of the lunch special, a philly cheese steak sandwich and seasoned fries. My fries were crispy and delicious. The sandwich was loaded with meat and had a nice amount of peppers and onions as well as some gooey melted cheese and was on toasted/grilled bread. It was amazing and very filing. I couldn't eat it all so I'll have a nice snack for later today. Overall this place is a really nice spot to get a good meal. The servings are large. I overheard someone at a table next to me telling their server that they only ordered 2 eggs but got 3 on their plate. She told them they always do that, send out one more than what you order. Not too many places out there doing that so that's pretty cool. The reason for taking a star off is really just because of the difficulty I had getting in with my daughters wheelchair. Otherwise it would get a full 5 stars!

American Table Family is a good option for breakfast. We were a group of eight and service was quick and every order was absolutely correct.He servings were especially generous. If you order 1 egg, you end up with 2. If you order 2, you get three and so on.The decor is not plush, but is clean.

Wow! That's the best way to put it. Great food, generous portions, excellent service, and reasonable (not cheap) prices. Just left there after having breakfast. Had the Ultimate Omelet with hash browns and coffee. I'm a big boy and there is no way I could eat it all. Excellent prep and served so hot I had to wait to eat. Even picked up a to go order for my wife. It was cinnamon swirl French toast, two eggs and sausage patties. With a coffee, Coke and tip it was still under $20 bucks for it all! Ya just can't beat it! I've eaten there many times in the last few months and can honestly say I've never been disappointed. Service is always excellent and you never leave hungry. My wife and I try to take my father-in-law there at least once a week. He is an old school trucker and not the easiest to please. Even he has no complaints, that's really saying something!Highly recommended!!!

What I ate there was OK. The only problem with this restaurant is almost everything is fried. It's Friday either in the fryer or in a skillet. I think they are to have healthier choices. I won't be back.

Ate here for dinner. It was quite cold. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with salad and sweet potato fries. Portions were HUGE. I took a bite of the pulled pork and immediately knew it didn't taste right as if it was past it's date to eat. . I sent it back. They were good enough to bring me something else. I will say the sweet potato fries were good and the ladies room was warm. Will not return.

The food was amazing and the service was fantastic! Yummy yummy yummy! I had breakfast and the biscuits and gravy was top notch!

A lot of food for a reasonable price. Tenderloins and burgers are good. Service is good. It is an older type restaurant but it is clean. Try it.

We stopped at this small town diner with a big menu selection on our way from Indy to E'ville. The diner had a very relaxed atmosphere with friendly staff and the kitchen as well as the cooking staff are exposed. The drinks are served in plastic glasses and the silverware in clear plastic bags although the utensil holder from the dishwasher was placed on a table by someone (not sure why) as you entered the diner. We chose the mushrooms as an appetizer - they were as expected - purchased frozen and dropped in a fryer. (We asked for serving plates and we caught the confusion on our waitress's face.) My husband ordered a hamburger and fries which he said was good. I ordered a side salad and a gyro. The salad was crisp and fresh but the salad bowl was hot from the dishwasher - would have been perfect had it been chilled. My gyro was good but difficult to hold so I sliced the thick pita and ate as best I could. Desserts were not made from scratch as we have come to experience from other diners, so we passed on those. This diner was clean and the windows spotless. I would have given four stars but the ladies bathroom door was open when we entered the diner and again when we left - leaving the restroom visible to those dining on that side of the diner.
