Had an excellent experience at Al-Posto. I started with the Apple Cider Sour, which was delicious. We started with an order of arancini and the wedge salad. Both were great.I ordered the Orecchiette Barese - it was tasty. The ambiance was perfect and our waiter, Perry, did a great job and was very funny.

Visited a couple weeks ago to celebrate a birthday.Al-Posto was a superior choice for the occasion as the birthday girl was a vegetarian and they offered a handful of great Italian options. We started with a tasty arancini and a side of focaccia for dipping into the pomodoro sauce. This was followed by splitting an order of Cacio e Pepe and Gnocchi alla Marcella. Dinner was complete with my personal favorite of the night: a delicious, toasted marshmallow topped tiramisu and a shot of pomegranate-cello.Al-Posto boasts a beautiful space in a large multi-story room that once served as a bank. You can still walk through the vault if your heart desires. One of the managers caught us scoping the surroundings and came right over to make sure we didn't have any pressing needs.Service was on top of it the whole night. Our server was timely and affable. Will definitely be back to try some more.

First visit to this newish restaurant. We made reservations for four a few months ago for New Year's Eve. The ambiance was perfect. Light colored walls, good lighting, downtempo "chill" music without lyrics made having conversations easy. It's a nice refresh from the days when the building housed Tellers. We arrived early and had drinks at the bar. Manhattan and Old Fashioned cocktails were perfectly made. The bar was lively with folks eating dinner and chatting with the bartenders. The friendly hostess took us to our table, a nice spot in the corner upstairs. It took a while for our server to come to our table, and our initial wine selection we were told was unavailable. The sommelier suggested a different wine, and it was fantastic. We ordered some first courses- meatballs, burrata, and house salad. The house salad was a very generous portion, but our friend was unhappy with small amount of fennel included with it. We all shared the burrata and it was rich and tasty. The meatballs were served lukewarm, as was the grilled focaccia. The focaccia also had a weird flavor to it that seemed like it picked up some flavors from other items cooked on the grill. A cross contamination of sorts. It took a very long time between our appetizers and when our entrees arrived. An unacceptable amount, to be honest, about 45 minutes. Our server disappeared during this time. For the main course two of us ordered the Cacio e Pepe. We both enjoyed it, the pasta had a great chew to it and the flavors were simple but robust. The portions were perfect- enough to fill you up but not make you feel bloated. Another friend ordered the branzino, she loved it, enjoyed the crisp crust and seasoning and said she would order it again. My wife ordered the Linguini, declared it outstanding and said the lemon cream was on point. Our server again disappeared after our food was served. After we finished we asked our servers assistant to bring our check since we seemed to lose our server. We declined to order dessert as we were already at the restaurant longer than planned, about 2.5 hours. The bill arrived but then took and 10+ minutes for our server to retrieve it and process payment. In summary the food here for the most part was as advertised, with a few minor fixes it would be exceptional. The service was unacceptable, I don't know how much of this is to blame for it being a busy New Years Eve, the best restaurants seem to thrive during the holidays, and Al-Posto is not among the best......yet.

My husband and I ordered arancini to start, we both loved the sauce but the risotto balls themselves had no flavor. In addition to that we got the Funghi Fritti, this was pretty good and we enjoyed the sauce it was served with. We ordered the chickpea and cucumber salad and that was great and we enjoyed. Lastly, the reason we came was to try the cacio e Pepe, we ordered the one for 2 that came with the experience of them making it in the wheel in front of us. We really wanted to like this pasta to justify the $65 + $18 for the shrimp but it was just terrible. Even the presentation the host was so quiet we didn't even realize she had started the presentation until she was on like step 3 and we were like oh, it's started!? The pasta was entirely too salty neither one of us could finish our plate. The salt must've of overpowered the cheese flavor because the pasta was not cheesy tasting at all. Mainly oily and salty. The shrimp were so over cooked and chewy, I can't say I'd recommend this dish to anyone. Overall the place itself was beautiful, especially during the holiday season. Matthew was a great server who helped us through the menu for our first time. Great one time try, my husband and I agreed this is not one we'll add to our list of favorites.

Wonderful service. The tableside Cacio e Pepe is worth it. Such a fun tableside element and the end result is just divine. Arancini was excellent as was the wedge salad. We had a table of 7 and everyone was pleased with their meal. The ambiance (we were upstairs) is elegant, open and somehow still intimate.

Our friend Kara (she works there) highly recommended coming here. I've heard nothing but great reviews on this place. So my Mr. made reservations for my Birthday on a Saturday evening. As soon as you walk in, you feel welcome. The staff is super friendly and down to earth. The inside is very spacious (2 floors) and decorative. I love the style and the lighting. We were seated right away. Stephanie was our server and she was very helpful and attentive. The menu is VERY simple. Which I love because it's not overwhelming. They serve appetizers, salads, pasta, entrees (chicken, beef and fish) and dessert. Their wine selection was picked by level 3 sommelier. So they really know their stuff. They do serve specialty cocktails as well. We ordered:Wine:Serra Barbera d'AlbaAppetizer:Fungi grotto (Mushrooms)Dinner:Cacio e PepeGrilled BranzinoDessert:Olive oil cakeNonino Amaro (Italian amaro/bitter liqueur)They were super busy but we didn't wait long. The mushroom appetizer was amazing! Not greasy and complimented well with the aioli sauce. The pasta was super delicious. Homemade and creamy. The fish was one of the best I've had. Grilled to perfection and loved the hints of citrus, parsley and toasted almonds on top. Last our dessert was light and flavorful. Paired well with our liquor. This is my first time trying olive oil cake and it won't be last.Everthing was perfect! The wine and food were amazing. I have to say that I like this place way better than Sotto. We don't have to be on a waiting list and it's closer to where we live . What a great experience! Definitely returning and I can't wait to try other items on the menu.

I decided to take my lady here for her birthday because she LOVES Italian food and I'd heard so many good things about this place. Definitely glad I chose it because the entire experience was absolutely top notch. Amazing food, fantastic service, and a very cool laid back atmosphere.I made reservations for a Saturday evening. The place was pretty busy but we were seated right away by their super friendly hostesses. The place itself has plenty of seating on two floors as well as outdoor seating in front and out back. Their food menu is fairly simple and all made from scratch. Their wine menu is HUGE with lots of Italian wine options listed by region. They also have unique cocktails and a simple but good beer menu. Our server, Stephanie, was very friendly and helpful. We decided to start out with a bottle of a 2022 Barbera and an order of funghi fritti. Even though they were busy, we didn't wait long at all before the fritti was ready, and cooked perfectly. It was so good that it didn't need the aioli but it really enhanced taste. As for our mains, my lady opted for the grilled branzino, and I went with the cacio e pepe, a personal favorite Italian dish. Again, we didn't wait long at all before our dishes were ready, and VERY delicious. We couldn't stop raving about it all and how well it paired with our wine. But we weren't done just yet because we wanted the full experience which meant dessert time. Their dessert menu is very nice with classic Italian favorites as well as dessert cocktails and digestivos. We decided on the olive oil cake with two glasses if Nonino Amaro. The cake was fantastic and paired so incredibly well with the Amaro.Truly epic experience from beginning to end. When we started our dinner, I thought the overall concept here reminded me of Sotto, but after the whole experience, I'd honestly have to say this place is BETTER. Plus I don't have to make reservations MONTHS in advance to come here.

Got a last minute reservation here on a Friday early evening so jumped on it! It's located within Hyde Park Square so there's lots of parking and other shops around it. The restaurant itself is located within an old bank and has a super cool vibe!We were seated right away and the service was excellent. My wife and I got a glass of wine, an app, two entrees, and a dessert. Overall, pricing wasn't too bad!We got the burrata for our appetizer which was okay. The outer casing of the burrata was a little thicker than I'm used to which made it a little hard to spread on the bread. The bread it came with was fantastic, though! For our entrees my wife got the Orecchiette and I got the Skirt Steak Braciole. My entree was incredible! It was fall apart tender and the ragu was incredibly flavorful. My wife's entree was pretty good as well, not quite the level of mine, but still tasty! For dessert we got the Olive Oil Cake which was moist and tasty as well! Overall, if you're looking for a good Italian meal, this is a great place to check out!

Everything was good, and they accommodated our screw up when we came in on the wrong date of our reservation, rather than sending us away hungry. Gnocchi good but a little too soft for my taste. Still I ate every bite. Our server Dan was great.
