Ah, Whatta 'Bout Mimi!

What a lovely store! They've got ice cream, truffles, party decor, and more. The sweet tooth was acting up, so I swung by and tried some of their seasonal ice cream flavors -- namely, pumpkin pie and banana chip. Their truffles looked beautiful, so I decided to order a small box to go. I got carrot cake, dark champagne, s'mores, and peanut butter chocolate (that wasn't the name, but the flavor profile is like Reese's). I haven't tried them yet, but they look and smell good, and I know they'll be excellent.All the while, I had excellent conversation with the staff there -- I didn't catch her name though. Swing by if you're in town!

I was in town for a conference and needed something festive for an impromptu launch party. To my great surprise and delight, Mimi's was right there in downtown Louisville and was able to put something FANTASTIC together while we waited in the store! Mimi herself took the time to get to know more about our nonprofit and event, and easily designed something that was perfect for our needs. It was amazing what they were able to whip up in an hour: large balloon letters that spelled out the name of our program, an additional bunch with our school colors, and everything bounded together for easy transport. Mimi noted that with only 1 day's notice, they could have done a balloon sculpture for us! Next time, Mimi...great to know. Even with the quick work, I had just enough time to browse the gifts and candy side of the store. I loved the single-flavor bags of Jelly Bellys, and discovered the most delicious bourbon balls in the chocolate case. With the service, kind attention to detail, and incredible array of products, Mimi's is a true gem on an unassuming corner in downtown Louisville. 5 shiny stars all around!

I've seen Ah, Whatta 'Bout Mimi's balloon art around town at events, so when I needed some balloons, they quickly came to mind. I brought some of my own branded balloons to be blown up and was in need of some large balloon hearts as well.When I arrived, I was the only person in the store, which meant I got help quickly. The young man who helped me showed me what they had, and after finding out that the first balloon I pointed to was sold out, I found another to buy to round out my balloon order. I was impressed with their selection. Really -- if you need balloons, they probably have what you need. One thing I was not big on, though, was that it costs more than $3 each to blow up my branded basic latex balloons. That definitely added up fast. It also took about 30 minutes to have my 12 balloons inflated. But, looking on the bright side, this did give me time to explore the store, which contains several gift items, in case you're ever in need. Mimi sells some local items from Bourbon Barrel Foods and Moss Hill. It also has some very yummy looking fudge, which is made in-house, as well as other chocolates that the young man told me were made elsewhere. It also has a small case of flowers and some cards. If you're in need of something gift-y, chances are you can find it here. After my balloons were finished, the man who helped me offered to help me get them in my car, which I appreciated. If I have another specific balloon need in the future, I'll likely come here.

We recently just got out of the hospital due to having our first baby and I wanted to thank our doctor for going above and beyond for us during our delivery with a gift basket. I also wanted to support a local business. Working downtown I had passed Mimis often but never had the opportunity to use their services. My friend highly recommended them so I gave them a shot. The moment I called I knew I picked the right place! Martha asked me about why I was sending the basket, who it was for and my budget. She patiently worked with me over the phone as we selected the items for a bourbon theme basket. I ended up picking fudge, a candle, syrup and jam. One note: I wanted to include bourbon but they do not sell alcohol. She rang up my transaction over the phone and had it delivered the same day. Now that's great customer service! I will be a repeat customer.

I called from AL and asked that a balloon bouquet be sent for my granddaughter's 16th birthday party which was 6 hours away. Brian handled it beautiful and delivered it in plenty of time! Couldn't be more pleased!

I wanted to have a thank you basket delivered in the area. It would be delivered to a business so I was a bit wary. After some Google searching I found out that this place (which I'd walked past plenty of times) was actually a little gift basket shop with delivery. I created a custom basket and actually ended up dropping it off myself. The girl at the counter was so sweet and helpful. I will definitely be coming here in the future. To create a custom basket with several very cute fudge and cookie creations, gift wrapping and card, it was just over 30 dollars. So glad I discovered this instead of blowing 60 bucks on a custom cookie delivery website, which wouldn't have included even half of the goodies. Highly recommend!

Great place for a mid day chocolate attack. The staff is super friendly. You can also pick up special orders and different gifts if you forgot that it's your anniversary or your child's birthday etc.

Can't say enough about this amazing store and the kind people who run it. We had a last minute idea for an event at the American Printing House for the Blind and Mimi came through for us! Everything we needed was there and staff had great ideas to make our event pop! Personal service that is hard to find any more is thriving at Mimi's.A great shop with the finest folks in Louisville.

My fiancé was in town for a conference and I decided to surprise her with some snacks. I called and Martha was extremely helpful, with great suggestions. They delivered within a few hours to the hotel she was staying in, along with a note I emailed. The hotel staff went and placed it in her hotel room to surprise her when she came back later in the day. The store was great, quick and very helpful. Excellent service and good pricing. Thank you!

First, this is a small shop with the greatest tasting fudge! The people working there are so very helpful and really nice! I will be ordering online now and in the future.
