Agaves Mexican Grill

Good little small town Mexican restaurant. Subtle decorations in the seating area. Nice but simple, lots of seating for a small town but they had tons of people eating there. They also have a really nice patio area which helps it not feel crowded. Our servers were quick and helpful but never refilled out drinks or replenished our chips. The chips and salsa were ok. The salsa was tomatoey with some spices but no heat at all. Maybe just some cilantro. The chips weren't very fresh but still pretty good. We got Arroz con Pollo. It was good cheesy, lots of chicken with some flavoring we also got a mushroom quesadilla. It was good with tons of mushrooms! My wife got a margarita. She said it was good and it was cheap but it was a little watery. A nice dinner in a small town.

Staff was phenomenal!!! Chips were warm and delicious!!! Coronarita was on point!!!! It was all drink and little ice to water it down!! $12 is a great deal!!I can't say one bad thing!!!The quesadilla was fresh, hot & delicious!!!The fries were crispy & hot!!!It's clean, updated, and just AWESOME!!!! Even the bathroom was clean. Definitely stop after a long day at holiday world!!!

Mexican food is one of our favorites, so typically we judge these places harder than others. With that being said, this place was amazing! The salsa is fresh and the chips are warm. I loved that the salsa came out in a separate container. We enjoy our salsa a little bit spicier than most, and upon request the server brought a spicier version and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing and the portion size was generous. My husband got a michelada and he loved it. The place had your typical Mexican restaurant atmosphere, and was clean and comfortable. 10/10 recommend.

VERY VERY GOOD! The menu has continued to impress, the service never disappoints and the drinks are top notch. The outside dining is always improving and the inside bar is inviting and all around this is a very very good restaurant. BUENO!

Traveling home and stopped in Ferdinand for the night. Our hotel staff recommended Agaves. Food was good, service was quick. It was a nice meal after a long day on the road.

Food was delicious. the service was great. This is not the first time I've ordered takeout the portions for adult meals, which is like a child's order. Very small portions

Really good food with really good folks. We always felt attended, drinks were only momentarily empty, and the people were very friendly - especially when they saw us return for a second night. Our new go-to when we come this way.

MexicanApparently this cuisine is big in this part of Indiana, so we decided to grab some Mexican for lunch.Place was pretty empty for lunch, but it gets crowded at dinner and there are plenty of tables available.Service was quick and efficient - salsa and chips came right out and we got our orders in. Food came out super-fast.... too fast actually. Steam table food is pretty much what we got. As for the food: refried beans were bland and on the cooler side - they should at least mix the steam table trays before serving. Yellow rice was basic, nothing to write home about and certainly not made from scratch. Tamale was meh with hardly anything to it.My friend had fajitas and had the same issues with the sides- cool / tasteless. It was steaming, so there is that.Prices are good but if you are looking for something that tastes great - keep looking.Parking lot in front.

OMG quite a find. Excellent Mexican food. I'm visiting from the West coast. First off the service was superb. The chips and salsa were very good. To me that's always a tell of any Mexican restaurant. We both ordered off the lunch menu, both dishes, mine the chili relleno and hers the tamale, were very good. We also each had a small strawberry margarita. I was pleasantly surprised how inexpensive it was. I wholeheartedly recommend Agaves.

Service was terrible. Staff were extremely rude. Orders wrong and some missing. They never even offered an apology.
