Agave & Rye - Lexington Fayette

Wonderful service with Jasmine! Food was hot and delicious! I like the Gangster Taco and my husband enjoyed the Filthy Fajitas. My Agava margarita was amazing!

Let me say I waited over a week to write this review so I could calm down and be fair. Ambiance - amazing! 5/5. Food - for what we got - excellent! 4.5/5! Service - garbage. 0/5. If you've read any of my reviews you know excellent service will take a 2/3 star on food to a 5. This location specifically was not interested in our patronage. No one at the hostess stand when we walked in. After a moment someone seated us. Khloe took our order and was friendly. Asked her recommendations and she was congenial and made suggestions. After ordering is where the wheels fell off. Ordered chips & queso, birra egg roll, Agave and Rye draft, taco flight including Korean taco, the gangsta, and something I can't remember. Also had the kissed by a bee margarita. Blueberry was not available for kissed by a bee so substituted for huckleberry. Not terrible. Just not what it was supposed to be. Server brought the chips and queso and drinks. Chips were hard and stale and terrible. Queso was pretty good. I can wave that off. She disappeared. Eventually someone brought our food that I had never seen before. Presented me with carne asada egg rolls. I let her know I had ordered Birria egg rolls and not carne asada. She was very friendly and kind and offered to check on it. What seemed like an eternity, our server came back and said she should have asked what kind of egg rolls I wanted. She assumed I wanted carne asada because I did not specify. Listen - I've been a server - I GET it. But I FOR SURE said Birria. I was confused. She asked if I wanted something else. I declined. One eternity later a "manager" came out in her oversized UK sweatshirt with her hands pulled up in the sleeves like a child wearing their parents' clothes. Said "is everything ok over here?" I explained the situation. She said she would make something else. I asked her to just take it off the bill and I didn't want anything. My husband had already eaten his food. I mean it was a looooooooooong time later. I was annoyed but cool. Mistakes happen. But there was no effort to deliver customer service here. My husband waved at the "manager" and bartender to bring the ticket 1.5 hours in. They acknowledged him. Manager walked off. We assumed she was asking the server to close us out. Nope. 20 minutes later he asked the bartender to get the server to close us out. She came back making excuses. Said I didn't specify. I. WAS. SUPER. ANNOYED. I have NEVER left a restaurant without tipping. This was a first. Love everything about this place but the attitude. Try a different location.

Excellent lunch. The taco flights are a great idea. Melody, our expert server, was great!

One of our absolute favorite spots! Big tacos with a large variety of menu items. Hot salsa and fresh guacamole! Great margaritas!

This was an awesome place to stop in for lunch. Cool vibes and cool art inside. Our service was fine. Everything my wife and I ate was tasty and the portions were generous. We got the guac and chips to start, and it was great. For my meal I got the Grilled Crispy Chicken Burrito. It was really really good, but I'm a sucker for good BBQ sauce and the chipotle mayo dipping sauce was a pleasant bonus. My wife got the Vegan Jackfruit & Mushroom Birria Style Tacos which were really good too! It was cool to see that style if taco available in as a vegan option. We also tried one of the Bang Bang Cauliflower tacos because it was Taco Tuesday and a special, so why not!This place has an awesome menu and we'd def stop here again the next time we're in the area!

This place is decent. I stopped by today for happy hours (HH), and the tacos were good, and the frozen OG margarita was strong! The service was fast and way too quick, in my opinion, when I got my tacos and drinks. I felt rushed to pay, even though the server said, "No rush, but it's here." By saying that, it made me feel rushed, and I had to pay and leave (which I did) This establishment is a great spot for happy hour but not for winding down and enjoying your margaritas--which I wanted to do since it's my first day off, and I tried to relax and enjoy a good vibe. I'm glad I tried this place again, but I wouldn't say this will be my go-to spot since the experience was so so. P.S. If you have fur babies, this place has outdoor tables with covered umbrellas to shelter you and your fur baby from sunshine or rain. A place to grab a quick bite :)

Great food, Great service and the atmosphere is nice. Had an amazing Server/Bartender Tristan. Would definitely recommend.

This place delivers time after time! Food is on a rotating menu but is always excellent. Service is fast and this place always has the best tunes! Must check out if you're in Nicholasville/Fayette Mall!

Kayla was so kind and attentive, she deserves a raise for sure! food was AMAZING! will for sure be back here! vibe was awesome too.

I liked my food but some parts of it was cold like other people at my table also when a person at my table asked for no pork they had to get their dish was filled with pork also the bathroom smell disgusting
