Alright, Kentucky Living, we might have a problem.Seeing how you voted the burger here "best burger in Kentucky" me and the family went and checked it out. Now you've put me in the weird spot of disagreeing with you. Best in Kentucky? Nah. Worst in Kentucky? Hell nah. Best in Horse Cave? Definitely.The place is a country dive-so brace yourself. Not an insult, just ads to the uh, charm. The ladies working were all very nice. The food is all fried, and very southern. So if you like southern food, you'll love this place.Twisted tots are a must. The sauce that accompanies them was delicious.Worth going off the beaten path? Well, much like their "best" burger, it's debatable.

You have to visit this place!! We stopped by after visiting Crystal Onyx Cave, BEST decision our whole trip.Service was fast, hospitable, and accurate. Ambiance was very intriguing. Not to mention, they have a game room to occupy the kids. Food was freaking amazing!

Best fried mushrooms and very friendly owner who personally connected with customers. Down home cooking, quick service and fun atmosphere.

Great burgers and home cooked country staples . The staff and friendly and treat even new customers like old friends.

Delicious food, you can tell it's fresh. Chicken fried steak and chicken fried. Chicken yummy. Onion rings way yum. Have returned two nights in a row so far. Cuban was delicious! Save room for dessert. Short wait staff, it's worth the wait.

Amazing little spot. Friday night had a little live music. We got there a bit late and staff were so nice and service was excellent. No rush and super great food. Was made to order and fresh.

Food was ok. I got the chicken fried chicken, which was really crispy. I liked that. The restaurant seemed like a popular local place to eat. Service was ok.

Heard about this place & while we were in the area, decided to check it out. There is ample parking and its seat yourself wherever there is available seating. The day we went they had a couple singers that played a acoustic set. The menu is easy to read but make sure you read descriptions, I ordered the chicken fried steak and didn't realize it's a country fried steak but fried like fried chicken on mine I got an order of onions rings and broccoli . But everything was delicious and made fresh to order the other plate was the catfish with okra & mashed potatoes. The only let down the small scoop of mashed potatoes and i has a couple of pieces of shredded cheese in my drink. But otherwise great service and good food, if they bare busy it may be a wait since some of the food is made fresh.

Went in expecting flavorful country cooking. Left extremely disappointed and traumatized. I ordered chicken fried chicken, smashed potatoes, and broccoli. Table mates ordered pork chop, hamburger steak, and a flaming hart burger. We also ordered Rojo potatoes.The potatoes came 20 minutes later And tasted pretty good, but they were served with a side of some sort of mayonnaise dip that wasn't particularly good. During our 50 minute wait for our food, we heard the cooking staff arguing with each other and a lady brought her dog in on her shoulder and took him somewhere in the back. When our plates came out (except the pork chops, which took a bit longer),the breading on the chicken fried chicken was very dark. I tasted the chicken with the gravy on top and something tasted off. I don't know if it was the breading or the watery gravy, but neither had any flavor. The smashed potatoes were watery and flavorless, and the broccoli had no seasoning. It was frozen broccoli floating in a Styrofoam bowl of water. A lady came to the table and noticed I wasn't eating, and in an accusatory tone asked what was wrong with my food. I told her I just did not like it feeling a bit intimidated. They did remove my meal from my bill, but my husband also did not eat his flavorless pork chops and they did not offer to comp his or offer us anything else to eat. Another woman came to the table, stood next to me, and they said she cooked it and wanted to know what was wrong with my food.At that point, I just wanted out of the place.

Amazing food. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked outstanding. I need to try more We both had chicken fried chicken and onion ringsI wish we had a place like this closer to home
