"I have nothing but positive things to say about this venue and the owners. As a COVID bride, Tonya and her husband have been nothing but supportive and amazing throughout the wedding planning process. This venue is stunning for engagement photos, an outdoor wedding, and indoor/outdoor reception. This was also the perfect venue for my rehearsal dinner as well. Tonya has a great eye for the visual aesthetic I wanted, but could hardly describe in words. She is a great resource as a day of venue coordinator (you want this service, trust me!!) and is readily available for questions and tours. The barn is pretty big, has tables, chairs, and decorations if you don't want to do your own decorations (worth it!!) and the best parts ... concrete flooring AND real bathrooms! (So many barn venues lack both of these. You WANT these.)This barn is a great venue for all your party/wedding needs. 12/10 recommend for sure!"
"We came here for hibachi in mid June. Hibachi is a fun thing to do with kids, and mine enjoyed themselves. My son is still glowing about the clear soup, and they don't eat fried rice...ever. But they eat it here! Really enjoyed ourselves. Wait staff and chef/entertainer were friendly and lively. We had a great time. We forgot to call for a reservation, so we arrived on a Saturday right at open. We were glad we did, as the room filled up while we were there. This is our go to for this style of food!"
"My friend and I went to Yen Ching on a whim. It's a very unassuming place, metal tables and some sailor decor. The person at the counter took our orders, I got the seafood boil. The food came out quickly and was delicious."
"Wicks is a staple of you want great pizza. Not mediocre, not okay, but great pizza. You definitely get your moneys worth when you eat here. Great spot!"
"We stopped by this place after a hike in the Muscatatuck wildlife preserve. We know about it because a young woman from our church has opened up her chocolate here to explore her passion for bonbons. Unfortunately, after a radio advertisement put her name out in North Vernon, her inventory had been significantly depleted by the local clientele, and I was unable to photograph a full display case at her café, to show you all of the wonderful things she can make. Furthermore, her help was out, assisting a family, whose roof caved in in the recent rain, further reflecting the kind hearts of the people who've opened this chocolate cafe. Nonetheless, I wanted to get some photos out here and offer you the invitation to come visit her place. We will definitely be back!"
"Well if you found yourself here, you either lost, buying for someone else, or even better, YOU LOVE WHISKY! Easily one of the best distilleries in Louisville and also one of the best brands of Whisky. These folks have the "dream" job. At least in my head lol. Working for an excellent brand, fine whisky maker must be a very priding job. These folks are nice, helpful, easily to talk too, and 9 chances out of 10 they know whisky. Which means there is an easy topic to go on about. We not only spent time shopping about, but we also checked the bar out! Let me say I could have easily spent all day in there (it's limited to 90 minutes because of very limited seating). The bartenders know their stuff, take pride in their work/job, and just like I said before easy to get along with! The decor upstairs is nice and feels more like a high-end ritsy bar, especially when these drinks are made! The level of detail, and perfection is amazing. They make the experience even better! Anywho I know your here for the whisky. I mean why else would you be doing reading this? They sell the four main lines: Bourbon, Rye, American I blended whisky, and sour mash daily! Now the others are a different topic, they have a "special release" daily too which can be from a variety of things including but not limited to: Bourbon 10yr, rye 10yr, toasted barrel finish, and barrel strength."
"We heard about La Morena through Yelp's virtual event with Farm + House and decided to visit this bakery in person to check it out. As we parked we noticed that OPEN light was off. It was an afternoon so we thought maybe they had closed, but when we were through shopping at the small Mexican grocery next door the sign was lit, so we went in. It's a small business and our visit was in the middle of a pandemic, so odd hours are understandable. The storefront is recognizable if you've been to other panaderias: trays and tongs for self-service, glass-doored cases with shelves of panes dulces and breads, a refrigerator with packaged slices of cake. True to their name, they also carry tortillas, chips, and bags of masa (the latter found in the refrigerated case). The pastry selection is pretty standard: conchas, donuts, filled pastries, orejas, marranitos, tri-color cookies, etc. At the counter, there's a book with images of cakes that can be special ordered.I thought we went overboard selecting pastries on our first visit, but for only $8 we got half a dozen cookies/pastries and a piece of tres leches cake. It was a steal; all were good. We've also ordered through Farm+House, which is nice since La Morena is a drive for us. This has enabled us to try more items, including their telera rolls, tortillas, and tortilla chips. It's definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. If you aren't in the area, maybe manufacture and excuse to be so you can check out these baked goods."
"Quentin at Jockey Bar may very well be one of the best bartenders in Lexington! Friendly, knows a little bit of everything, and brings the best industry knowledge. Jockey Bar has some of the best pricing downtown and is the only place serving adult beverages during the Saturday farmers market. Food is also great! Cool, friendly vibe reminiscent of Irish pubs."
"I had a nice stay here during a road trip from TX to MD. It was my first time in Louisville and I couldn't not stay in the downtown Bourbon District!Despite it being COVID-19 times and nothing in the hotel was open, there were still some good restaurants open that were a short walk away (Doc Crow's, Wild Eggs, etc.). The staff at Aloft were professional and my room was real clean/modern. I like how they sell high-end bourbon in the lobby (George T. Stagg and Pappy Van Winkle 15 year).Aloft is a great hotel chain!"
"This was a decent spot and had good happy hour specials! There wasn't a lot of service so the bar was pretty crowded (even on a Thursday night). I ordered a drink (less than 4 dollars - score!) and got wings and fries! The food was pretty good but they had limited ordering options! There is a small parking lot in the back so that's a little challenging depending on when you arrive. All in all it's a good chill spot and they have pretty good music."
"Our server was fantastic and had great recommendations! She was very attentive to our table and made sure our waters stayed full. The place has an indoor and outdoor seating areas. We sat inside near a window so still had a nice view outside. Started off with a dozen oysters that were shucked to perfection! Came with the fixings to flavor them to your liking. Next the cornbread! This is a flavorful, melt in your mouth style of bread that comes with honey butter. Absolutely delicious and highly recommend trying!"
"Absolutely fantastic! This is the best taco place I've had in Louisville metro area. A bit away from my usual areas, but as I was traveling I had to go taste it.Completely worth it every single minute. The best things are their chips and wha tI think were freshly made corn tortillas. The tacos were flawless, from portion size to flavor to hold, pure perfection. The best ones were carnitas and barbacoa. The steak torta os perfect as well, I got that to go and they gave even more chips and salsa The place is spotless, very clean restrooms and the service is fast, friendly and professional. Easy off street parking. I'll be here as often as I am in the area."

"Absolutely the best! I can't believe pretty much the best food that I have had in Lexington is out of a food truck. It's true. I am so picky when it comes to having good food. The Chicken Salad wrap was fantastic! The Potato Salad, amazing! Fresh ingredients, all home made. This place should be a restaurant, I would certainly be a regular."
"Great views of the city! The rooftop bar has indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside a bit, but not every table has shading. The bartenders were nice! Friendly. I got a blueberry spritzer, while my friends got the espresso martini and Alter ego. Delicious and refreshing! Especially since it was hot outside.Bathrooms are clean. They have 4 unisex bathrooms.Fabulous place to hang! I loved all the decor and plants. Only drawback is the price. Drinks are a bit elevated but I think Louisville is gonna become very big city like.We also tried Rosettes. We shared the trout and burger. Generous portion sizes! Everything tasted good. It wasn't busy inside the restaurant area. Not sure if a lot of people know about this place yet. Nice staff though! Good vibes too."
"This was a great spot for a fast and delicious lunch while on campus. I was visiting for work, and sometimes that puts me in strange locations at lunch time. I was pleasantly surprised to find this little gem, though.I had a tuna sandwich on wheat. Nothing fancy, just some regular toppings, but they made it fresh in front of me, and it was ready and wrapped in a very expeditious manner! Not only that, the ingredients were quite fresh. The tuna salad itself was standard, but very delicious. I'm kind of picky about my tuna, but this was more than satisfying.Add a bag of baked Cheetos (R) and a Coke Zero (R)(C)(TM)(don't sue), and my meal was complete. My colleague went for the quesadilla bar (say what?), and let me tell you... I'm wishing I had, too. Couldn't believe how fresh everything looked inside. Here's the secret: freshly made right in front of you, which means you'll have to wait for it to grill, but do yourself a favor and try it out! Other secret: the peppers aren't cooked before they go in, so you don't have this sopping wet mass of cheese and tortilla with filling falling out everywhere. It stayed crispier and together as it should. Oh, and they give you a ton of dipping sauce, whichever you ask for (or more than one... they are very accommodating).I would definitely go back. Very fast meal that's made to order from scratch in front of your eyes, decent prices (for a college cafe), and plenty of seating. Well worth the time and taste buds!"
"I needed to put in a couple hours of work in Northern Kentucky before heading to the airport and came across The Hive while searching Yelp. From the outside, it looks like a house, but on the inside is a cool vibe and atmosphere.Do you want nice breakfast options? They've got that. Do you want nice bakery options? They've got that too. Coffee options? Yup, they have them. The restaurant is downstairs and the coffee shop is upstairs.I really liked the vibe of the coffee shop! There were several seating options...a couch, comfy chairs, or sitting at a table. The art work was super cool to look at. The baristas were welcoming, and let me know that you can order off the restaurant menu and they'll bring it right to your table.Logging onto their wifi was easy...and I checked their Internet speed, over 90 Mbps, which isn't bad for a busy coffee shop. I grabbed a breakfast plate with eggs over easy, turkey sausage, hash brown potatoes, and whole wheat toast. Good to the last bite! This is a great place to work remote, work on school work, or relax with family/friends. I look forward to going back and trying other things off their menu!"
"Great coffee in the morning. Sandwiches and cool drinks in the afternoon. Only place to get good coffee on the hill in Madison. ."
"Update to my previous review! There's been a couple of things that have changed since I was last here, they were a little disappointing. First off the portion size got significantly smaller with everything that was scooped onto the lamb gyro platter, so when I finished I was more hungry than usual. The gentleman working that day was kind of callous, compared to other employees I've interacted with there, but that wasn't really a big deal. Lastly, they've added a $1 fee to credit card transactions, which was a frustrating way to cap off a sub-optimal visit. The lamb gyro meat and the rice were really good on this visit, though. The lamb was seasoned really well with a unique flavor that I really enjoyed. And both the lamb and the rice were wonderfully tender. With the changes, I'm sure I will still be back, but they're just things I will have to consider when choosing where to get my meals!"
"Great food, don't sleep on this great place right in our backyard! Waited a bit, but it was more than worth it. Fried fish had flavor with a perfect crisp. My wife really enjoyed the jack daniels wings."
"The burgers here are excellent. Even though I'm not sure smash burger type of person ill still say it's one if the best places for a burgers"
"Beargrass Creek Tavern is the bar/restaurant previously known as Big Al's Beeritaville. It has a new look (remodeling is in progress) and new ownership. They now have draft beer and liquor will also be available. Tuesday is Burger Night and it is one of the best burgers in town! Friendly service with front porch, inside and back patio seating. Great local spot with friendly regulars."
"I really like these guys and they are the only one who delivers to the hollar. I have never been to the place and have always had delivery. For the most part it's pretty good, it's just that the apps don't make it as well for delivery as they may when you eat them in house. They have a nice selection of beer, I'd love to go in and drink it!"

Tried this place on a Friday night at 6:30 PM it was crowded, although we were quickly seated at a Hibachi table, with two other small groups. Nice people good conversations while we were enjoying our cocktails. Sushi and sashimi were good, way too much dressing on the salad I would ask on side, entrées very good as well. Chef did a good job without whole lot of the usual fanfare. Our server Amy did a great job as well. Overall kind of typical hibachi place but with better food and service

Our favorite Chinese restaurant in the Louisville area! Their General Tso Shrimp is the best ever! Their egg rolls are delish and their wonton soup is excellent!!! They are so friendly every time we visit. The restaurant is clean and has a relaxing atmosphere. Service is first rate. They refill drinks & quickly remove dishes from the table.

We ordered pizza to be delivered to our hotel after being out and about all day. Ike others have said it's not thin crust but it's not overly thick either. Good toppings, sauce, and it was still hot upon 3rd party delivery.

We did not do the tour at Michters but we did stop by their bar for a drink. This bar was definitely the fanciest or most elevated out of the distillery bars we visited. A close second was the Stitzler Weller bar. This bar was beautiful, staff were very professional and were true craftsmen and women. We each got a cocktails and were wowed by their taste and creative use of ingredients. I got the Jasper & Jinx and it was such a great cold weather drink. It was creamy and warm but not too heavy and full of flavor. Visiting Michters was definitely a great way to start our weekend on the bourbon trail!

"It has a wonderful outdoor seating area, plenty of room. Indoors is spacious. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu, beers on tap, and the Augusta ferry. The food was delicious. I had the potato skins and steak hoagie with mushroom sauce. My husband had their hot wings. Flavor on the wings, saice on the side. He said they had just enough of a kick, and very tasty."
"Good food nice atmosphere! Friendly staff! If you want biscuits and gravy, get there early!"
"Lovely, Clean Small place to grab a delicious burger and fries. Hostess was so sweet. Grabbed a chicken salad sandwich to go for dinner. I had heard about this food places in Auburn and decided to visit. I will be back for sure. Thank you for great service."

"I have loved the many versions of DaLat over the years. The latest version is a cafe that serves boba, banh mi, street snacks, noodles, with some bakery goods remaining. I got a bowl of Bun Bo Hue this time. It is filled with a big pork hock slice w bone, meatball, beef slices, tendon and a blood cube. It has not been reduced or "normalized" in any way! It was spicy and delicious. All of that was only $14.50. It was definitely worth the drive to the Southside! They also have egg coffee on the regular menu. They still have onion buns and hotdogs buns. I will definitely be coming back for more!"
"Although my coworker would disagree (he is a strong Taco Tuesday believer), I could eat tacos for every meal. Got super lucky that this place is close to where I travel to work. The first time I went, I got pupusas, which were amazing. Their pupusa expert wasn't in on my last visit, but it gave me a chance to explore other options. The tacos were awesome & totally where it's at! Tried the al pastor, asada, and lengua. All great! They give you the option of cooked or fresh onions & they're all topped w/ cilantro & avocado too. The corn tortillas are slightly grilled for a nice char. Also gave the sopes a try & those were freshly fried & topped high with meat and toppings. They start you off with chips & each person gets their own salsa dish (yes!). You can ask for hot salsa (green) too. The boys that take your order are very friendly & attentive. Def recommend giving it a try!"
"We stopped in for a fabulous lunch as we were traveling by on the freeway on our way to Annapolis, Maryland. Sure glad we did! The burgers were super delicious, and mom loved the fried catfish. The onion rings were exceptional!!! "My Titan burger was crazy delicious!"Our waitress, Brianna, was very attentive. Our complements to the very talented Chef, for an outstanding meal!!!"
"What a gift to NuLu! Goldie's recently opened, and I had to check it out. This spot is a mix of gift shop, grab-and-go food options and coffee shop. And there's something to love about each.First, the gift shop: This spot is packed with so many neat finds, many either made locally or items that would be locally cherished. Fun takes on cookbooks, candles, cooking items, homegoods and more. This would be a great spot to duck into if you need a gift for someone who loves Louisville or who you would like to share your love of Louisville with.Second, grab-and-go: Goldie's has a few fridges stock full of drinks -- some of which are local -- candy, pasta, sauces, dips and more. I doubt a stop here will satisfy a need to go to a grocery store, but you could easily find some fun sides for a party. Last, coffee: This spot is complete with a cute coffee counter. Its menu included some seasonal faves as well as coffee staples. I got a chai latte that definitely hit the spot. Goldie's is such a fun addition to NuLu, and one that didn't really exist like this before now. Can't wait to come back, perhaps accompanied with a visit to next door Bar Nada Nada."
"A wonderful staple in the community for good food, friendly and pleasant atmosphere and most of all great service."
"Had to check this place out while I was in town for Brunch - we got there at opening and sat in the sunshine!I started with the blueberry lemon martini - holy moly that was delicious - we also got the Sunday special of bottomless mimosas!I got the Christopher Robbin which was delicious, the chicken was cooked perfectly and had just enough syrup and the right amount of berries! Mom chose the Notorious B&G - the potatoes were crispy, gravy was well seasoned and the eggs were on point. We got the Hangover to take home for pops and he couldn't rave enough about how good it was! If you're in the area, stop and check it out! Our server was great, attentive and we will definitely go back!"
"My wife and I were cordially invited out for an honorary evening and while we were in the Newburgh area we decided that we would go out to eat afterwards. We decided upon this place after a little debate on trying something new and eating Indian food. As you can tell I lost the debate and we settled for a truly American style restaurant. I have never been here before and was thoroughly pleased with my wife's selection. We entered the restaurant and only stood there maybe two minutes before being seated. The booth was nice and the ambiance was great for an evening meal for two. The table was sticky though. From what I gathered it was the paint and would be willing to bet that every table was sticky. We were served water without asking for it and also some house made chips were brought in a moderately sized bowl. I was the first to try the chips and the water. I later gleaned my wife's take on them both. The water was absolutely tap water. No filter. The chlorine after taste was superb. The chips were certainly very crunchy but felt almost stale, albeit they did have a good flavor and I was hungry and ate most of the bowl assuming the texture was supposed to be as it was. We were also offered more water before our chlorinated pitcher was empty so I was obliged to say of course. Then our waiter came by and took our order. She didn't come back but to deliver the bill and receive payment. Our food was delivered accurately and seemingly promptly. The food was wonderful. I had the prime burger. I mainly chose this because the menu wishes you luck in the description? My wife ordered the prime dip with onions and peppers, for a little extra $$. It was served with a Au jus sauce and some horseradish sauce. The prime burger was great. When I ordered it I was asked "Red or no red" . I said no red. The burger had the patty, bacon, and bbq on it and it was really good. The fries were good too! Especially dipped in the horseradish sauce. I tried the prime dip as well. It was really good too. And it reheated well in the microwave as a leftover. The place was nice and I had a good time with my wife for a night on the town. Thanks Prime Time."
"I'm a wing snob!! And when I tell you those wings were TOP TIER, Chef's Kiss. Shout to Stephanie great service overall! I'll be back to see you SOON!"
"I typically agree with the masses when browsing through Yelp for places to frequent. I'm not sure why older reviews are still on here from prior to this being the Hillside Gastropub. I certainly don't agree that this place is less than average. I've been here 3 times in the last 4 months and each time I felt the food was good, the beer was cold, and the service was great. Once we sat at the outside bar, once inside, and once out on the patio with live music. The food is good. Sure there could be more variety, but I'd rather have a limited menu that is executed properly than 40 options and none of them that great. My favorite food here are the burgers by far. The Pacific and the all American are my go to choices. The fries that accompany the burgers are plentiful. Give this place a shot. Sunset in the summer are great on the patio!"
