Review Louis tacosHey I'm just finished.I went to a Ranger guided hike at Long Hunter today and worked up quite an appetite. It was a little more strenuous than I anticipated. After I left the park I decided to look for something to eat before going back to camp. I rode down Hobson Pike and pulled over at a corner market to check my phone to see what was available nearby. Unfortunately there weren't many places open nearby. Most of them said CLOSINGS SOON and seeing as it was about 10 minutes till nine I was guessing closing time was 9 PM. I finally decided to ride up Murfressboro Road and give Louie's tacos a try. It's just west of Mt View rd on Murfreesboro Pike. The Yelp listing said Louie's Tacos and Bar, so I thought it would be a lively atmosphere.I got there and went inside and there were a few people at the bar and some people on the patio eating. It wasn't as crowded as I thought it might be but then again it is Sunday night.I didn't know how to order so I walked towards the bartender and asked her. She looked at me like she didn't hear me so I asked again. She never gave me an answer, but I did notice that she was looking at me with thinly veiled contempt. I'm going to give her the benefit of doubt and assume she couldn't hear me. One of the gentlemen at the bar turned and told me that I need to go to the counter to order and then told me the specials. He was one of the staff. The girl at the register who took my order was super sweet and answered all the questions I had about the food. There were some things on there that I didn't know about.I ordered an enchilada plate with a order of Mexican street corn. I've always heard about it but I've never been able to try it and I was excited to see it on the menu i love corn almost any way it's prepared. I got my drink from the self service station and went outside to a table on the patio. It seem to me like the music was not as loud outside.It didn't take very long at all for the young lady to bring out my plate. The enchiladas looks really good too. I ordered two cheese and one chicken. The Mexican street corn was served as kernels in a cup with the sauce and cheese on top. Not what I was expecting. I thought it was supposed to be roasted on the cob. I looked it up on Google and a lot of the pictures and recipes showed both kernels and corn on the cob so that was all right. I do think I'd have preferred the cob. The enchiladas were very good and they were very generous with the lettuce, tomato and sour cream. I love sour cream so I was very happy to have more than enough for my plateMy enchiladas came with a side of rice and beans. The beans were good, but I love refried beans just about any way. I didn't much like the rice but that's OK because I don't care for rice that much anyway. I rarely eat it. It might be just right for your taste. Nothing wrong with it. I'm just not a fan of rice.The atmosphere was casual and fun and the artwork on the walls was spectacular. The employees were quite welcoming and helpful. I'm pretty sure I will come back to Louie's Tacos when I'm in Nashville again.

Heck yes, fantastic Tex Mex tacos served up fast by nice staff. What's not to like? A lot like West Coast/Oscars but I think Louie's is better, plus they have margaritas.

The customer service is bottom tier. I used to go every Tuesday though because you absolutely can not beat a $1 taco. Often they "accidentally" ring up your order wrong so be sure to check everything before paying or leaving the establishment. The tacos and food aren't seasoned well but I bring my own tiny bottle of tajin. Some times the queso is so watery you have to send it back and sometimes it has chunks of cheese. The drinks are pre made margaritas and they get the job done.! My advice is go on a Tuesday or a day where they have food and drink happy hour specials. I love the vibe so I still go even tho the customer service and the food is mid. If you order a drink you have to go get it your self from the bar. They don't come to your table to take orders you have to walk to the register so imagine how inconvenient it is when they mess your order up. Last time I went I think they've got a new manager he was great

This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants here in the Antioch area. I always will recommend this place to people. Their burritos are huge and so delicious. I also love their salsa for their chips. They have a bar and an outdoor patio so it's definitely good for groups to hang out. 10/10 absolutely!

Food & drinks are good. I usually get the tacos but I recently had the seafood burrito and it was yummy. Tacos are always good.Bar staff is friendly. Just remember to grab your card from under the receipts when you close out.There's a patio when the weather is nice. Open atmosphere and the karaoke nights are definitely something to experience even if you're just observing

Great service, my boyfriend and I came here for Valentine's Day lunch today. Our bartender was kind and attentive, the birria tacos with consumé is a 10/10 the Buffalo chicken papas and chips and queso was also great :) Thank you, we will be back.

Ordered because it had a lot of really good reviews on the Door Dash app. I was no impressed, I ordered the birria quesadilla with the street corn and horchata. Everything was just okay. The horchata was probably the best part of the meal. The consomé that came with the birria lacked flavor, it was hot so I will give it that.

The Bartender vickie is awesome !! The drinks are great and food is delicious! The dj on Thursday nights is a nice addition !

The food is good but limited. We also didn't like that you order at the counter then a server brings your food. So you don't really have a server, but a food deliverer. We thought the service could have been better. Also, the restaurant was redesigned from Border Cantina and they greatly expanded the bar area, making the seating area feel more crowded.Lastly, maybe this is an unfair comparison, but the food was more expensive than Border Cantina.Would we go back? Maybe, but not as a regular dining place.
