This is such a hidden gem in Bellevue. We went for the birria tacos but ended up ordering so much more, including their chicken tacos among other menu items. Those two taco varieties stand out for their freshness of ingredients and great use of spices. I love the assortment of salsas they always give us as well. My spouse loves their nachos, and he says they have the perfect ratio of crunchy chips, fajita veggies, salsa, and chicken (his protein of choice). They are always generous with cheese and other toppings here.Don't forget to grab an agua fresca or horchata when you are ordering here. They do an excellent job with their beverages in addition to food.We typically order out, but they have a mix of indoor and patio seating. Staff are so lovely, and they have a private parking lot. Highly recommend!

This is a location that used to hold US Border Cantina. Glad to see another Mexican restaurant in the spot, but sorry to see it is another average meal. The ambiance is great. I like how they have adjusted the locale to be a bit more open and airy. Table service when slow, but counter service when they are busy, which has turned some people off. Less items than many in the area, but I don't consider that a bad thing, like others have. I want a restaurant to do what it does well. The bar has been greatly improved and sized up since it was US Border Cantina, which means it could be a nice spot for happy hour. Most of the other Mexican restaurants in the Bellevue area have very little bar space (Tito's is a big exception). Not much else to say, as it really is just another average joint.

Ambience: pretty and trendy inside but the music is loud and not lively. Food: it's good... when it's right. I've had a couple of grilled fish orders that are actually fried. 2 pieces of shrimp in my shrimp taco smothered in sauce. My shrimp burrito bowl:lots of shrimp but it was minus the pico, guac, onions, and cilantro. It was a sad bowl of shrimp beans and riceMexican corn: canned corn with some sprinkled cotija cheese. I really want to like this place but they've fallen short multiple times

Fantastic tacos and margaritas, but highly recommend the birria. Taco or quesadilla, dealer's choice. You also can't go wrong with the steak fries. The staff is always friendly

We tried Louie's Taco for the first time. As I used to live in California, the tacos are spot on. They are well prepared. The birria taco and the broth were delicious. The service was great. Our server Charlie was very attentive. I think the decoration can be rearranged and unified a little more. They should redecorate their exterior store sign to match the internal flashier deco. I love the music playlist too.

Today was our first visit to Louie's taco shop. It was recommended to us by family who live in the area. The inside of the restaurant was nicely decorated and they have a great patio outside. We heard one of the people working there say that they have only recently started serving free chips and salsa, and I can tell you that the chips and salsa were terrific. The chips were fresh and the salsa was the perfect amount of heat (for me). As for our meals, my husband had a steak quesadilla. He really enjoyed it, and he liked that the guacamole and sour cream were on the inside of the quesadilla. I had a birria taco, shredded beef taco, and chicken Al pastor taco. The chicken Al pastor taco had a double tortilla and there was pineapple in the meat mixture. I don't really like fruit mixed with meat, so this was my least favorite taco. The other two tacos were okay, but I left most of the tortillas from my meal behind and ate the insides with tortilla chips. We enjoyed visiting Louie's. I noticed they had tortes, burritos, and several other items on the menu, so I look forward to returning to try some of the other items.

This is my go to taco spot! Their chorizo and pork pastor is 10/10. Sometimes I switch it up and get a burrito bowl and I always have enough for left overs!

So excited to have a place like this in Bellevue! They have created a great vibe, especially to other Mexican restaurants in the area. We heard the Birria tacos were really good so we thought we would stop in, and wow it delivered. We loved everything we ordered. Great prices on tacos and drinks. We are hoping to make this a regular spot.
