Lost Cause Meadery

Love this meadery! Nestled into the corner of this little beer garden which was a bit hard to find at first but the signs were super helpful. Such a wide list of flavors which seem to change every so often so I love the switch up. We've always had it at parties when other people brought growler and they were always talking up this place, we were so excited we finally got to try it in person! The flight is a must if you want to try more flavors at once. I love the ambiance, very chill and they had an awesome playlist the day we went. Music was bopping and it was pretty easy to keep going back and get more drinks. There's also food in the garden that you can order and bring back in to eat. Meaderies are hard to come by in San Diego so I'm glad we had found this one and now it's our go to :)

Came here for date night and it was amazing! I had never tried mead before and as a sweet tooth, I loved getting my alcohol in a sweet format. The flavor profiles and ingredients they use are really distinct so I enjoyed the mead flight very much! They also showcased a variety of flavors from pure sweet to fruity, sour, smoky. The place isn't too big and isn't too busy in the surrounding areas so it felt intimate and casual. Will be back!

Mead is its own special niche of sweet alcoholic drink. Pretty one-of-a-kind, so I appreciate the novelty of it. Great space, great ambiance, great service. Love that they offer a flight option, so you can try all the flavors! :) (They also have a shared space with Serpentine Cider, if folks want to switch it up!)The reason for the 4-star review is because of my personal taste profile. Mead is incredibly sweet, so it gets a bit sickening near the end of finishing the flight. It's also pricier, compared to other alcoholic drinks / brewery type places. Though I'd come again, it's not a top go-to place for me.

best mead yet. :) love the taste of it. It is not overpowering so you could enjoy all the flavours across. Would bring my other friends here and their mead is a nice gift for Christmas! On my list for Christmas gift. All flavours! :)

Cane here on a Friday as my husband and 7 year old were shooting archery at Performance archery.I had no idea what meade was. Is it beer? Is it wine? Asked the bartender who gave me an overview. Asked what they recommended and a mellow mel was recommended: orange blossom honey, pineapples, citra and el dorado hops. This was super tasty. Definitely got the honey flavors and it was light and mellow.It is an open space (high ceilings) with tables, an air hockey table. They have a lovely outdoor space with tables and chairs and succulents.There are actually 2 bars in here. One is for Lost Cause Meadery and the other is Serpentine Cider. There is also Smokin' J's BBQ in there.I only had a small glass (as I was waiting for family and had to drive) but I would love to come back and try the sampler! Prices are super reasonable (in my opinion) and the staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

This place is a hidden gem in the Miramar/Mira Mesa area. I didn't know that Meads were alcoholic drinks derived from honey, so that was a new and delicious experience for me.The menu changes all the time and there is always something new and different to try. They come in 2oz or 6oz sizes, but don't let the smallish sizes trick you because the alcohol content is no joke. They have special themed nights. The night I was there they were having a movie night and the feature presentation was "Scream".There is really good food from Smokin J's BBQ and also a cider menu.This place is a really cool vibe.

Had the Mellow Mel while here for a YEE. Thanks to Cheryl R. & Shay M. for giving me the heads up!Wildflower Honey, Pineapple, Citra and El Dorado hops made up this 7% ABV glass of goodness! The 6 oz. pour was right up my alley! Fruity and refreshing, it was perf to cool me down since there were so many people in house that night.Jake (I hope that's his name) was super chill and gave me exactly what I wanted! It was hot inside the facility, with regular customers and the YEE people attending the event. I was engaging in great conversations with my group of 6, so I didn't get a clear pic of it before I started sipping away. I did manage to get one as Jeff L. and I were toasting to a great evening!I would definitely come back to try out a fruity flight! Mead has grown on me over the last year, so I'll return again! My first time going to a meadery and everything was super delicious! If you are looking for a sweeter taste but still want your alcohol, mead is the way to go! It was a bit packed but we were still able to get seating on a Friday afternoon! The only problem was that it took forever for the waiter and kitchen staff to make and bring us our fries. (Maybe they forgot about us) But we literally watched the waiter bring out sides and fries to other tables despite us ordering them way earlier. I would skip out on ordering sides unless you're willing to wait 30+ minutes.

They have food but not by them. The service is A plus. Everyone from the new recruits to Megan are super awesome. The ambiance is chill, and everyone is super nice. I like dark mead, my fav is jakel. You can always ask them to mix it

Stumbled in by accident. Great vibe and crew. Drinks were explained and sampled. Had a few flights and loved them.
