Los Reyes Mexican Food

Los Reyes was an okay Mexican restaurant we decided to try while in San Diego. At first glance, it looked like any regular taco shop with indoor seating, but we were pleasantly surprised by the nice outdoor patio. I ordered the birria quesadilla, and while it was fresh and hot, it was a bit bland. The dipping sauce tasted like beef broth and lacked flavor. They offered two types of salsa, but both were very mild. Overall, it was a relaxing visit and a decent meal.

This dog walked in and ate my food be careful.also it was just running around the service didn't do anything to stop the dog getting in my food

We ordered the Carne Asada Plate and Chili Verde burrito with beans. The service was excellent. The ambiance was like all good places, not perfect but the food speaks for its self-no glamorous place necessary when the food is good. I definitely recommend!

I have mixed feelings about this place. The service is always excellent. Some foods are excellent and others are not good at all.Their French toast is ON POINT and is better than many breakfast restaurants alone! Their chilaquiles are not the business. It was hard to even eat half of it. The tortillas were not cooked well and the sauce was terrible on it. The beans in my combo tasted burnt! Although visually it wasn't, it had such a strong Smokey taste as if their may have burned the bottom of their pot of beans. The carne asada fries is always a hit! Such a yummy treat, especially since they use nacho cheese. It pairs well with their spicy hot sauce.Their carne asada chips on the other hand is a fail. The chips are soooo thick that when they smother the nacho cheese sauce, it has the texture of a floppy wet tortilla completely! Not one chip made it and overall inedible. When I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie, I was expecting something natural tasting and refreshing, instead it gave me ice cream vibes with the texture and was overly sweet and milky... and they added whipped cream on top. Turned out to be some kind of sugary milkshake.

This is my favorite place to get carne asada fries because no one makes it like they do! Please don't ever change! Great portions, good food, fast and friendly service.

I order a breakfast eggs cheese and bacon burrito and added beans and got a bean burrito with light eggs and bacon. Basically a bean burrito. I will not return.

I've been coming here since 2017 and this is my favorite taco shop in all of San Diego. I love the carne asada fries and fish tacos.

i got their potato rolled tacos and they were bomb. i love their sauce and the service was very good
