Decided to drop by just to eat some Nachos as an appetizer after going on a 7-mile bike ride! Arrived at 1:30 PM and got seated right away. Had to wait about 10 minutes before the waitress came to order. Seemed like she was the only one serving all of the tables, so it was understandable.Our Super Nachos with Ground Beef came out in a very timely manner. Tasted really good, too! Had a nice crunch, guacamole was tasty, beef was cooked well, sour cream was on point and jalapeños gave a spicy kick to the nachos. Huge portions; as they should be. The shredded chicken was soft, ground beef was ground, not soupy like some restaurant will make their ground beef. The shredded beef was also tender, these three meats were perfectly prepared. Beans and rice the staple sides were included and also nicely paired with the main course. Great service, tasty food and awesome pricing! It was a total $73 and after tip of around 38%, it was still under $100! Can't beat this!! Still eating my leftover beef fajitas and still tasting sooooo goood!! Ceviche is a must-order appetizer to get!! So tasty and refreshing w/ Flat tortilla chips to go with it. Pacifico Clara (ran out during our visit), Negro Modelo and Dos Equis Ámbar on draft were an added bonus! The only reason why I only have it 4 instead of 5 stars is because I was stared it so bad by other customers/locals in the Orting area that it made me feel a bit h comfortable ... I came fromIowa and never got stared at that bad before lol... like they've never seen a SE Asian female before lol! But all good tho, I can hold my own and will definitely be back to grub at this place.

20 years ago, I ate at a place with the same name in Lacey. No idea if this is the same place and the Lacey location doesn't appear to exist anymore. That said, I remembered it being tasty.I tried calling this place to verify before we headed out, but no one answered the phone. So despite yelp hours claiming they open at 9:30 on Sunday, that is not the case, at the same time, review aren't too favorable about the brunch, so either that or covid are the reason it no longer exists. We arrived just after 11 to be safe. The place was freezing. I don't know if the place has heat, or if they depend on the kitchen and customers to heat the place up, but I had on a heavy jacket and was still cold. Service was slow, which is inexcusable for a place just opening, it wasn't busy enough for staff to be distracted. Chips and salsa were good, but the salsa had no heat, when I asked for something hotter, I was told they had two more salsas, but neither were hot. One was green and the other was mild. We tried the green and it wasn't good. It was more of a sauce than salsa. Listen, the food was really good, and the price was reasonable. My only knock to this place is being out in the middle of nowhere. Coming off the freeway, it's 8 miles down a 50 mile an hour road moms appeared to be comfortable driving 35 mph for no good reason. Yes, I get it it's a limit, but who drives 35 in a 50 other than someone that shouldn't be driving at all. This place deserves 5 stars for the food, but unfortunately, the slow service and uncomfortable stay impacted our ability to enjoy the meal fully. We'd come back, but it's not a priority, as advised, it's just too far off the beaten path.

What happened?I have eaten here since 2012 and have ordered the Polo LA Crema almost every time. Today was a huge disappointment. The mushrooms tasted and looked way past their prime. The chicken was dry and very chewy. I could not eat the mushrooms and barely touched my rice and beans. The majority of the meal was left on my plate. I let the waitress know how dissatisfied I was with my meal. She thanked me for my feedback. I won't be back anytime soon that's for sure!

The place means "The Pines" in Spanish, and the decor has a great combo of what you would expect from a family Mexican restaurant mixed with some NW flair. The booths had Mt. Rainier and some trees etched into their backs, which was pretty cool.Service was friendly and straightforward, as was the food. Free chips and salsa, and we split an order of chicken taquitos which was hearty and affordable. We also had strawberry margaritas - I would probably order a different drink next time as it was a bit sweet for me, but it was certainly drinkable.Will definitely stop by again!
