For WA State, this is a big Mexican market (they do have a few things from other Latin American countries too). It's kind of like four or five of the smaller Mexican markets put together. It's not a Mexican supermarket of the type you would see in LA or Texas, but it's big for WA State. This is a very clean market. It's well stocked and well organized. They have just about any Mexican specialty item you could think of. Where the small Mexican neighborhood markets (or Safeway) might have 15 spices, this store has the entire line of spices by several companies. Where those store might carry 5 to 10 type of dried chiles, this store carries just about all the ones you can imagine. Chapulines (grasshoppers)? Yes, in two sizes and three flavors (including plain), as well as an Oaxacan hot sauce with chapulines. The meat department is excellent. The quality is high, and the selection is huge. They also have sundry and toiletry items. Finally, there are bakery items.Basically, if you are looking for anything Mexican, visit this store.

This small store is tucked into a mini mall & looks unassuming from the outside. However inside there's a carniceria, panaderia, small produce section and various other groceries. The meat counter is clean, fresh, and well stocked with various meats. They offer marinated beef, pork and chicken ready for the grill. Stop off at Casa El Dorado in the next mini mall over for freshly made tortillas & salsa and get ready for DIY taco Tuesday!

My family and I stopped by for the first time.We usually drive to Mount Vernon to get tacos from Carniceria Los Compadres but we decided to get something closer to home so we stopped by Los Gavilanes. We got carne asada, pan Dulce, tres leches & large white corn tortillas. It was all very delicious once cooked. The pan Dulce was fresh and absolutely amazing! We definitely look forward to returning to get more.

Noticed some reviewers think this store is a restaurant. It isn't. It is a small store with a good selection of goods. Inside is a small butcher, fresh cheese and salsas, snacks, food, produce, drinks, and one of the greatest secrets of all a bakery which makes fresh goods throughout the day! All the best Mexican baked goods you can imagine all day. You can get bags of baked goods for less then $2! Good assortment of Mexican candy as well. I get produce here sometimes and the meat department is pretty good. Everyone is very friendly, whether you speak spanish or not.
