Zinqué

Zinque is the perfect spot to go to for a quick catch up/ dinner date spot. I've gone numerous times at this point and never have had any complaints. You typically get seated pretty fast , you can make reservations too if needed. Servers are quick and always make sure you are well attended too. I typically get Le Bowl , wich is the perfect mix or greens / grains / protein. Add a little hot sauce and it's my absolute favorite here. Coupled with a Caprese salad . Mmmm.

Dining out should be an experience--one where service, food, and atmosphere come together to create something enjoyable. Unfortunately, our visit to Zinque was the opposite. From start to finish, it felt like an afterthought, and at no point did we feel like valued guests.We opted for the tasting menu, expecting a well-paced and curated experience. Instead, it was a disaster. Our server was barely present, forcing us to flag down another (much kinder) server just to get any attention. The food arrived underseasoned, undercooked, and without plates. When the food runner brought our entrées, he simply stood there in silence, waiting for us to clear the table ourselves. When I picked up an empty plate to help, he threw the dishes down with force and walked off. I had to call him back just to ask if he could take the empty plate from my hand--he huffed, grabbed it, and left the rest of our dirty dishes behind. With no other option, we moved them to the empty table next to us, where they sat untouched for 25 minutes.At that point, we had seen enough. Rather than continue through the full tasting menu--including dessert--we chose to cut our losses, pay, and leave. That's how bad it was.I rarely write reviews, but this experience warranted it. Every restaurant has an off night, but this felt systemic. I hope Zinque takes this as an opportunity to re-evaluate, because the potential is there--but right now, it's a mess.

Sad experience. Arrived on Christmas with a reservation. Despite much open seating inside, outside was our only option. The reason stated was vague. Immediately we were told there was a time limit to our dining, as well as a long delay in the kitchen. This info was conveyed to us in the strangest, inarticulate, rudest way possible. Didn't feel right staying. Went to Catch instead where we were welcomed, and treated very well. Other Zinque locations have been excellent, but this one was horrible. Don't feel the host and hostess should be working a popcorn station at the county fair, much less a nice restaurant in Weho.

Great service, ambience (we dined outdoor on the lovely patio), nice glass of wine and delicious food!The salmon is a must! Wonderful combination of flavors and textures.

Such a wonderful central location with incredible food. Stopped by to grab dinner on a Tuesday night. It was so gorgeous sitting outside with the fireplace on. Service was incredible and the food was one of my faves while visiting Los Angeles.The best thing I ate was the CRUDOtuna, capers, crème fraîche, smoked trout roe, oranges, fresno chili salad I've ever had with sliced tuna, orange. I had the grass fed burger which was delicious but fun everything was perfect, the shoestring fries were also excellent. My sister had the steak frites which was also delicious.

Came here a few days after surgery because it was walking distance to my hotel and honestly the vibe is nice. I think coming here for brunch, you don't really get a true taste of their food, but for brunch, it was elevated and French inspired enough.They have a super cute outdoor garden set up where if you don't mind the heat, it's a nice space to hang out. I got their steak with chimichurri sauce and the sauce was definitely the star. I don't know about parking, but this whole area is quite nice so definitely a great place to stop by even for a drink. Staff was great!

Went for happy hour recently with a friend and was looking forward to trying out this Zinqué location after trying both the Venice and century city locations. We had a wonderful waiter with the name Barik, I believe. He was extremely attentive and friendly. As for the food, I'm fairly disappointed with the flavor/display of the items but the 3 for $22 couldn't be beat. The wings had a sauce that was similar to a thick ketchup and the deviled eggs were fine but not something I would go out and order again. For the drinks, the sangria was good (it tasted very similar to the Trader Joe's sangria) and definitely is on the sweeter side. Overall, this place has a great ambiance but the food is not something I would return for. If in the area I'd stop by for a glass of wine because they do have an excellent wine menu!

Parking: There are parking meters along Melrose Ave. I believe the neighborhoods are mostly permit parking. Experience: We came around 4pm on a Sunday and there were plenty of tables. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and a good place to sit and yap. We were seated inside and our waiter was very nice. All 4 of us got Le Bowls and French fries to share. The dessert looked fire, but we were too full! I want to come back for brunch.

Chose this as we were in the area and were starving at 2 pm on a Friday. Had heard the name but didn't really know the concept.When you walk in, apparently you seat yourself, then order and pay using the QR code on your table. Then the food is brought to your table. So very little to no service is involved. Having trouble finding an item on the electronic menu, I went inside to ask a question. The attitude is really like they don't want to be bothered. Not a good vibe. That being said, the patio is very pleasant and you can find sun or shade, depending on what you prefer. The burger and fries were excellent and the portion was substantial. The Le Bowl salad was less successful, a chicken and rice mashup on the bottom with arugula, cherry toms and parmesan on top. It read heavy and dry as there was no dressing component. The last impression was that the auto tipping feature on checkout gave options of minimum 20% and up for service + a custom option below, although there was NO SERVICE. Is this kind of a joke? NOPE and the vibe seemed kind of consistent. Won't be back.

We stopped by Zinque for dinner on a weekend and while it was an alright meal, it didn't blow me away. We were sat at the high top bar tables inside, and while the bench decor looks chic, it was not comfortable to sit on and for shorter individuals like me, I felt like the table was at my shoulder height. The food was good, not great, but was still tasty and filling. The service was alright, it took a while after we were seated to get water and appetizer plates - in fact we waited until after our appetizers came out to get water for the table. Overall, was good and I think would be worth to stop in for small plates and wine since the late night menu looked quite good.
