Great service and super tasty food!! 1st time stopping in at this spot after passing by it forever now. I've never seen this place too busy but then again not sure if it gets super packed or not. Super good homemade tortillas and queso fundido. They have a big selection of tequilas as well! I'll be back soon enough! Thank you!

Out for a constitutional scroll through WEHo's santa monica, I stopped for a quick bite to eat.Ordered their Carna Asada burrito. Served with rice, black beans, salsa verde, onions and cilantro, it was basic, but the tortilla was aeasthetically pleasing with the brown of grilled marks, and the meat was tender and juicy and worked well. All burrito orders come with tortilla chips. They were baked and served hot, which seems to be a common missing component for other restaurants' chips.I would suggest using a little bit more asada meat to the burrito. Portions were a little underweight.

I came here a lot when they first opened and really liked it. Not only was the service good back then, but so was the food -- and it was cheap. They had cocktails for $10 and tacos for $4. Those times are gone. I came in with a friend tonight and was appalled. There's basically nothing under $15 on the menu anymore. Margaritas are almost $20. They did away with single tacos. Guacamole is more than $10. Most entrees are in the $25+ range. But I actually can't even talk about the food now, because no one ever came over to our table. We didn't even get water. We didn't get to order anything. We sat there for 10 minutes without even a single glance our way from any of the waitstaff. We got up to walk out and didn't even have anyone from the restaurant ask us why or try to have us stay -- and so we didn't. We left and went to a different restaurant up the street where we were served within 20 minutes. Too bad about this place. I won't be returning.

This place is sadly overrated. I have to start with the good, the service is friendly and the interior is a cozy vibe with a splash of mexican inspiration. However the food is disappointing, especially for a Mexican restaurant in LA. From the dusty chips to the earthy tasting strawberry marg. Even my entree, the chicken nachos was mostly cheese with no toppings or substance. There's a chance I just ordered the wrong everything, but it's hard to mess up nachos. I left feeling completely unsatisfied.

They were busy on a Friday eve but I got service eventually. Sat at the bar just for happy hour. Zarape has the best carne asada fries in town, no lie. I don't even know if there are other choices in WeHo but you should come here for them. The carne is delicious and plentiful, they don't skimp. And the cheese and sauce are bomb, just everything. They use the shoestring fries not the typical thick cut. I dig it.

Such a wonderful restaurant! All star staff were so accommodating for my grandma who is in a wheelchair. The food was delicious the ambiance was great and again the staff were awesome! We all enjoyed ourselves so much and I will definitely be back. Couldn't suggest this restaurant more! Also note that parking wise this is one of the better options in the area :)

zarape is decent. the food was not bad. we had the ceviche for appetizer and I had a wet burrito for my main. it was all tasty and enjoyable. the prices are just too high here so I can't give it a higher rating.

Have been twice. The food is consistently really good. The downside for me is the service and the pricing. From a food perspective, I loved the fajitas and empanadas. My friends loved their burritos. Unfortunately, for such a small venue, service is bizarrely lacking. Takes forever for a server to come over, drinks take 10-15 minutes to arrive, food comes out in a very staggered manner. There's a lack of accountability for service issues, which is also frustrating. My friend's caesar salad arrived, no joke, 20+ minutes after everyone's food. Instead of taking responsibility and apologizing, they didn't even acknowledge it. Most places would have easily waived the salad from the bill or offered a small dessert as an apology, but not here. While the tacos are very reasonably priced, everything else feels like it's about 20% off from what they should be charging. $30+ for some chicken fajitas, $35+ for entrees, etc. It's just too expensive for a Mexican place in a strip mall next to a dry cleaner. They even charge $5 per soda refill!
