Z Falafel

I always see Z Falafel when I am out and about in downtown, so I decided to give it a try. There also happened to have a deal on Uber Eats for buy 1, get 1 for a chicken wrap and chicken combo plate. I thought this was a great deal, so I got 1 of each with the intention of eating it the next day. No complaints for me on the food packaging when I got the meal delivered to me. I decided on the wrap for the first day. It was not good at all. I had initially thought that this was a good size wrap, but it was full of hummus. It was actually overwhelming. I also thought I saw that garlic sauce would come with one of my meals, but there were no other sauce. So, I actually ended up using a garlic sauce I had at home. I like hummus in general, but that was way too much. I thought that the next day meal would be better because the hummus was on the side. When I went to warm up my meal, I realized the chicken looked so dry (and it looked like dry chicken breast). I tried a bite, realized it was not edible and ended up tossing away the rest (which I was not pleased about). I ended up ordering something else the next day, so was disappointed by the experience. I think I can cross Z Falafel off my list and try another place should a craving hit.

Service was quick, food was fresh and delicious, and there were a good amount of tables to sit at in the patio area. I got the Veggie Combo Plate for $15.90 with hummus, Baba Ghanouj, Grape Leaves, falafel on a bed of veggies and it was really filling!

I ordered the combo grill plate on Uber Eats. The chicken was dry, the humus was on the bland side, the lettuce in salad was a bit wilted, and they didn't include the garlic sauce. The gyro meet was pretty good and the kefta was well seasoned, although it was basically a hamburger patty and not shaped around a skewer. Anwar's Kitchen and Zankou are much better options if you're looking for Mediterranean.

Great customer service by a Guatemalan worker. Great portion sizes. But I wanted better flavor from their foods. Their beef shawarma was just meat grilled on the hot plate vs shaving it off of the rotating skewer. Both falafel & fries were average. Humus was very plain as well. Only outdoor dining. Hard to rate them low cuz of the nice employee.

Everything was delicious! Very fresh and full of flavor! Each bowl came with a yummy pita bread. They had a promo for b1g1 bowl. Loved it! The staff was very friendly and the bowls were nicely packaged to take back to my hotel.

OMG this has to be one of the best kabob platters in the city. I have been to many kabob types of restaurants in Glendale and LA, but Z Falafel has to be one of the top ones if not the best. The seasoning on my meat was just perfect. The veggies were fresh and the pita bread was warm and soft. Try this place if you are ever craving kabobs! Side note: we had this delivered to us and it got to our place in downtown LA in less than 20 minutes!

Attentive without being intrusive, the staff demonstrates genuine passion for food and hospitality. Our server provided excellent recommendations and ensured a seamless dining experience.

The food is fresh and delicious. Portions are big. The outdoor seating is pet and kid friendly and there is parking.

During our stay in LA, we decided to order from this place. The order was delivered quickly. However, the food was not the best. The falafel's were not very crispy and airy as they should be.We can't say anything about the ambience as it was delivered to us and we never saw the inside of the restaurant. If you're hungry and can't find anything better it's a decent option once in a while.
