I tried this spot a couple weeks ago for the first time since my og spot is closed on Wednesdays, but I'm very picky with my Soondubu and this is the second place in k town I love for it! I'm gonna gatekeep the first but I'm sure everyone knows it. This is def is being added to my rotation for the price, portion, quality and taste this SLAPS! Certainly has a slight modern take with the addition of noodles to your soup but it certainly does not compromise on authenticity!!! The side dishes were also very good which is a huge indicator of how good the k food is! It's simple but flavorful and comforting! The service was very nice and quick. The ladies were very helpful with modifications I wanted. The ambiance was very welcoming and clean as well! Usually hole in the walls are a bit dusty but everything seemed very up to par cleanliness! They will be seeing me again very frequently if they stay consistent with quality, flavor and cleanliness

One of my favorite Korean comfort food spots! Yukkaejang w/ pasta (5/5): this is essentially kalguksu and I prefer it over the regular glass noodles. The soup is flavorful and not too spicy. Bossam (5/5): I love that they offer a small size for smaller parties! Customer service is always great and the lady working there most nights is so sweet. Parking is easy and free too.

The spicy beef noodle soup (not too spicy) with the fresh pasta is mighty delicious. Their seafood version of the soup is also a favorite of mine. Any savory stews or noodle soup you can't go wrong here. I didn't care for the Bossam, meaning I had better versions before.Yuk Dae Jang is a well-known restaurant brand from Korea, the food here is authentic and so good! Multiple locations come to mind in Southern California: Irvine, San Gabriel, Koreatown, Gardena, and beyond. -Parking on the premises of the mini-mall;although tight.-Payment: Credit and Cash.

Oh man this place is fantastic. Service is great and fast, food is fantastic.Banchan was stellar all around. Kimchi was crunchy and tasty, fish cakes were soft and chewy, pickled veggies were so crunchy and spicy. The Yukgaejung with ramyun was so tasty, with a slight kick, tons of perfectly cooked ramen, tender brisket, and loads of veggies. The flavor was so smooth but bold that coats your mouth. The highlight is the premium bossam in house special soy sauce. The onions soak up all the sauce and become soft and sweet. The pork belly is cut at just the right thickness, not fatty or chewy at all, and the meat is so soft while soaking up all that delicious sauce. I love the accompaniments like the salty squid, garlic, rice, and more.Prices are great for the portion sizes and quality. I will definitely be back

Prompt and friendly service, even better soup!! We felt a little chilly after walking in Santa Monica in the evening so we were craving some spicy soup. I ordered the original yuk gae jang with soft tofu which came with rice. My partner ordered the original yuk gae jang with ramyun. Both were delicious and sitting in a rich, spicy broth. The ramyun soaked up the broth so well so I would highly recommend that if you like noodles in your soup. It's a small restaurant with limited seating but we came around 8pm on a weekday and didn't have any trouble getting a table.

Most delicious comfort food in ktown, and with the best braised beef. Their spicy pasta is incredibly tasty and must order for the spicy lovers and the comfort Korean food with clean taste soup and dumplings. The parking is free with plenty of space. Their service is great and quick!

A simple menu that is done right. I recently visited Yuk Dae Jang for the first time, and it is nothing like anywhere else i've been! Definitely amazing presentation of the pork belly, which paired perfectly the crunchy cabbage and sides. Every bite is customizable!

One of my favorite korean restaurants in LA. They have the best Bossam, perfectly cooked and seasoned, and I love their army style soup -- it's a burst of flavors! Their white and regular kimchi are so good, I end up always ordering a jar of it to take home. Highly recommended! The place is small so male sure you bring a bit of patience with you, but I promise the wait is worth it.
