We had lunch here today. There is a ton of parking in the shopping center that it is attached to. It is a casual and laid back restaurant. We ordered quite a few dishes. We started with the braised beef which was tender and flavorful. We also got a house crepe which was light and crispy with some plum sauce to make it a little sweet. But the star is the steamer at each table! We ordered some blue crabs and scallops. The staff brings out your food and sets the time on the steamer for you. Everyone was really helpful and so nice. The crabs were delicious and I love that you get the entire body since the best part of the crab is the body. The scallops were light and delicious. We got some wagyu dumplings and buns. We also got some pork and shrimp buns. That steamer is so fun to watch. There is a sauce bar to make your own sauce for your dumplings and buns. The wagyu buns and dumplings were so good but the shrimp and pork ones were even better! To finish our meal we got the chocolate buns and the red bean buns. We loved them both but wish the chocolate ones were melted like a chocolate lava version.Great food and service make this a place we will be happy to come back to again!

Alright you must have patience to eat here. Because practically all the dishes need to be streamed with the one steamer on your table. So imagine a big group and we ordered a lot like a set meal, steamed fish, and dumplings. Each item was about 11 mins. So we have starving kids who are just watching the food. We ended up telling them to steam it in the back but they just took the neighboring tables.Conceptually it's cute but practicality.... not cute. It works if u get the set menu and they have this spaced out seafood. But if u are a fast eater i feel like it still wouldnt work. They had set sauces on table and then later told us about the sauce bar. Which the seafood sauce was good. I wish he would explain which one is good for steamed fish . This was all trial and error so service needs some work.Overall the seafood is good and have some unique ones like razor clams but just not somewhere you would bring a large group or kids.

This restaurant's location was confusing to find because it's practically hidden with its location being on the far corner of the mall, and on top of that, there is no big signage visible from the lot either making it difficult to find if you're not familiar with the plaza. Aside from the initial scavenger hunt, my dining experience was pleasant. Each table has its own automated steamer so your food is freshly steamed before your eyes. Service was a little slow - we had to ask for water multiple times and it took a while to check out but I guess perhaps they were understaffed that evening. Food wise is good (we came for dinner) and we tried the dumplings and the bao version of the former's fillings. The dumplings were juicy but it took 2 rounds of the steamer to adequately cook them - I think it's because they gave us frozen dumplings. So, with that said, the superior choice here is the bao, hands down. They come in flat but once you let the robo steamer do its thing, it's a magic show! The bowl fills with steam and you can see your precious bao rise and puff up. We def liked the bao versions better. Tl; dr - Skip the dumplings, go for the bao!

Weekday lunch no wait but it gets busier.Unique experience where they steam the food at the table. It's a little gimmicky and if you are seated across from someone you need to peak around the machine to talk to them.Tried various dumplings and while all were good none really stood out. The seafood was great especially the scallops. The razor clam was grainy.the braised pork was seasoned well but dry.Overall it was a little gimmicky and the steaming at the table was interesting but I don't think it added a lot to the food. If anything if you order multiple items you need yo wait for each item to steam making the dining experience a little long

Youpeng Seafood Go Believe gives you a taste of Tianjin, China here in Rowland Heights. They apparently have several restaurant locations in China and this is one of their newest locations in California. If you're looking for authentic Chinese seafood, steamed buns, and dumplings, this might be the place for you.Parking: The restaurant is in a shopping plaza so there is ample free parking. One of the main draws of this place is the steamer in the middle of your table, so if you're not getting something to put in there, what are you doing?!The steamed buns are the highlight here and you have a few options: kurobuta pork, shrimp and kurobuta, and beef if you pick one of the combos. All of them are fluffy and flavorful. I actually liked the beef bun better and felt like it has a better ratio of meat to bun, even though I think they should all be portioned the same, it didn't appear that way to me as I felt the kurobuta was less filled. The other item that can go in the steamer are the dumplings, with similar fillings as the buns. Everything is made fresh and getting it steamed right in front of you is definitely what gives this restaurant an edge over others. There's also a sauce bar which is a nice plus so there's some customization. However, it makes sense because the steamer takes up a lot of space so all the condiments that would normally be at the table are stationed at the sauce bar.You can order with the staff or via the QR code on the table. Some of the items don't properly populate on the self-order QR code so I recommend just ordering with the staff. The steamer is set up by the staff so once you order, they'll place your item in and set it for 10 minutes to steam. If you're trying to catch the action, I recommend waiting until they put your items in and close the steamer before you make your way to the sauce bar.Overall, if you're craving freshly steamed buns or dumplings, this place is worth checking out. I didn't feel like the items were so unique that you had to go out of your way, but I only had the lunch menu and didn't have any of their steamed seafood they usually have for dinner.

I'd seen videos of this place pop up everywhere so it was on the top of my list to try. I've had only one other steamer place, but it was part of a shabu thing where they can add the steamer pan on top of the boiling water. I loved it there so I thought this was similar.Overall, this is a cool concept with a cool steamer contraption on each table, but I really wish they had more menu options to steam. The menu was fairly limited with some buns and dumpling to steam. They also had a seafood section where you can steam but it was quite pricey for what you get. The flavors were decent but I am disappointed with my experience. Here's what we tried:* Pork knuckle - 5/5 - This came cooked so no need to steam. The knuckle was massive and the meat was so delicious and tender. The sweet soy sauce glaze was also delicious.* House crepe - 2/5 - I've had other similar egg crepes before and they usually had more stuff inside of it. This was only the egg crepe wrapped around a fried crisp. It was super bland and boring.* Chicken and cordyceps soup - 4/5 - This came with one of the combos and since I love clear broths, this was very comforting.* Cucumber appetizer - 3/5 - This was more on the bland side where I had to add in more sauce on my own.* Pork bun - 4/5 - This was one of the items to steam. The dough was nice and soft and the meat was good* Shrimp & pork dumpling - 4/5 - This was the second item to steam. I like this one as the filling was juicy with bigger chunks of shrimp.

This place was frenetically busy on the Sunday lunch/early afternoon and it's not very big. Word to the wise. If you don't want to wait and you're planning to come on a Sunday, visit around 3 p.m. There's not wait at that time.We did come around 1 p.m. and waited about 45 minutes. We had a party of 7 which didn't help. Another thing to keep in mind is if you have a party larger than 5 or 6, try to get a table with more than 1 steamer. The reason being is that you steam almost everything at your table. If you only have 1 steamer and with a larger party, you'll have to wait to steam one item at a time. I think this contributed to how long we were at the restaurant...and the fact the they lost our ticket and the kitchen forgot our dishes...which is the primary reason for the 3 stars. As for the food: The dumplings and buns are all very good. Lots of juice and and I like the fact that the buns are not too big. Steaming them at the table definitely adds to the freshness and flavor. We had the pork buns and shrimp/pork dumplings. If you like steamed fish, try the black cod. It was actually very good and they provide sauce on the side. I wished they placed the fish on a non-perforated plate so that we could just pour the sauce over it. We also had the cucumber salad and the fungus salad which were both good, but has a spicy kick to them. The beef brisket, which was a little dry, and the secret beef noodle. The beef was tender, the noodles were done right, and the broth wasn't too salty. We also ordered a couple of the combos which came with the Cordyceps fungus and chicken soup which was very good. Would definitely want to come back and hopefully if the experience is better next time, I'll upgrade the review stars.

Tianjin steamed buns have thin skin and large fillings. The buns are thin but not broken, and the fillings are large and juicy. The bun skin has been fermented and fermented, which not only maintains the softness of the dough, but also locks the deliciousness of the fillings during the steaming process. The fillings are delicious. In general, the exquisite production process and the heritage achieved are recommended to local tourists as a rare delicacy.
