Yaki's The Original Teriyaki Bowl

I love this place. Super solid no frills teriyaki bowl at a fantastic price. Guys who work here are always nice and it's ready fast. You can really taste the char of the grill on the chicken. I've had a lot of teriyaki around LA and this little stand beats them all.

Service getting worse and worse every day.Food is good. Mobile orders mean nothing. Call in orders mean nothing. Everyone will get served and your time wasted. Go somewhere else

The guy taking the order did not look like he wanted to be there either because they're understaffed, but was always rushing not very friendly.Took the food home they hardly put any teriyaki sauce was really dry. Very disappointed. Been coming here for years haven't been here for over a year and I will not be returning.

We've been wanting to try this place for awhile now. Wel... it's done and sorry to say...Yaki's is more like yuckies! We got a jumbo half chicken, half steak plate with double potato salad based on Yelp recommendations. We're still on the mission to find a good pastrami sandwich, so we got one of those, too.The teriyaki was sad... the meat was tough, especially the beef. Chicken was meh and TBH they need to take the pastrami off the menu.Another one and done.

Let me tell you! The food here is soo good! I ordered 2 teriyaki chicken bowls today for lunch for me and my co worker today! Amazing! Very tasty chicken! The meat was cooked very tender. The vegetables were fresh. And the rice was cooked and seasoned very well

The food here is solid! There are a ton of options that keep you coming back for more! We ended up getting a "Yumbo" Teriyaki Rice Bowl/Plate with 1/2 Chicken and 1/2 Steak. (Yaki's + Jumbo = Yumbo) I had no idea what I wanted to eat, and my car just brought me here... lol. It was a good choice. The Yumbo was good for a couple of meals and was glad to have some leftovers later that night.The staff were pleasant and made sure the seating area was clean and asked if there was anything we needed. They were also more than willing to have a conversation regarding the history of the restaurant, the prior restaurant that closed around 1996, and the history of the building. The Gentleman's name slipped my mind at this moment, but I told him I appreciated his attention to detail and his overall customer service. I also told him I would give him a shoot out on Yelp! I was going to a game night adjacent to Yaki's. I was hungry so decided to check it out. My first impression was a food truck that was built on and made a permanent fixture. I was excited. I ordered the Friday special (but it was Saturday so understandably it cost just a bit more) the steak and chicken bowl (over white rice, some cabbage and teriyaki sauce) It was a little over $10. It was expecting more than what I got as far as the size. The overall taste was good but the steak was not tender and chewy. It was well covered with the sauce. I wouldn't go out of my way to try this pace again but if in the area I may try something totally different. (Or just avoid the steak) They have what seems to be outdoor seating only. It was clean for the setting. My small gripe was they served rice bowls (with sauce) but did not have spoons . (I asked if they had spoons and was told a firm "No!)

Delicious food and fantastic service. We were going to get 3 small Chicken Yaki bowls and the guy at the cashier suggested we get 1 Yumbo size instead. We paid half the price this way and they gave us small bowl trays and extra forks to share. The food was very tasty and we ate it all. Seating is outdoors only, a few tables. A lot of clientele at lunchtime so it's still a popular spot. Would love to come back.

Delicious food that I ordered while on the go. Such good flavor! It's been a while since I've been here but I'm making it a point to enjoy more often!

I've been going to Yaki's for over 25 years now. I don't know if I can continue supporting this place especially because of their service. The guys who work there are just rude even if you're not asking them for much. The food still tastes great but now their portion is ridiculous. I've spent about $40 to find out that I got small portion of zucchinis and also the ranch I received was unacceptable. It was not even half filled. I don't think I'll be coming back anymore.
