Xecora is awesome!! All the tacos are great!! My go to all the time! The vibe is amazing!! Always watching my Dodgers here along with Sunday Football! The bar service is one of the best!! My best servers have been Sol, Valeria, Gareth and Ricky!! One of the best authentic margaritas in North East. Fridays- live music, and Sundays Mariachis! Cant go wrong!

Newcomer Xecora has taken over La Fuente's former location. I stopped in to check it out since I used to come to the former establishment when I lived in Eagle Rock. I had a seat at the bar and requested a menu. I was a but thrown off when I received two - one for Xecora and another for La Fuente. The darling hostess explained that they were still serving the old menu and would eventually add some of the more popular dishes to the new menu. (FYI: There are two other Xecora locations - Downey & El Monte.)Bartender Gareth was delightful. He was friendly and engaging with all the patrons. He brought me warm chips & salsa before taking my order. Xecora's menu focuses on a variety of fresh seafood dishes with an emphasis on quality at an affordable price. I wanted to try something from the new menu and couldn't resist the WTF - a dish consisting of ceviche & cooked shrimp tossed in a habanero chili sauce. It was addicting and delicious with the right amount of heat!I'll admit, I wasn't a big fan of La Fuente. The food was ok, and I would mostly stop in for a drink at the bar. However, I am digging Xecora. The new menu items are an upgrade - even the chips & salsa. The service is friendly, and Gareth is a gem. I'm looking forward to a return visit. *Vegan & Vegetarian items available.*Small parking lot or street parking.

Tried this place in the midst of the wildfires in LA. Our waitress Valeria greeted us immediately and sat us. We asked her about her recommendations and went with her recommendations.Must say this place is awesome. Fresh chips and salsa are served while you wait for the food. Tried the chicken quesadilla which was very authentic and tasty. Went with the taco trip which was absolutely amazing. Truly enjoyed Xecora. Between the food, Valeria constantly checking up on us and making sure we were enjoying our food, this place is great. I'd definitely recommend this place for the food and the awesome service by Valeria.Got the taco trip and all aleria

Out with the Old, In with the New!I used to visit this restaurant under the old La Fuente management, but in its final months, something felt off-- even the food didn't taste as good. Fast forward to last night, when we decided to celebrate my birthday here, and I have to say, the transformation is incredible! The food has improved so much. We tried several items from the new menu, including the fish tacos, shrimp tacos, birria tacos, and chiles. Each dish was a 10/10--absolutely delicious! Our server, Angel, was a joy to have. His excellent customer service really stood out--it felt like he's trained in the art of hospitality. The atmosphere has also taken a turn for the better. They had a live singer playing guitar (or some string instrument I can't quite recall), which added a wonderful vibe. After the performance, they played great music, making the space even more inviting.Even the bar has seen a major upgrade. I'm not usually one to stray from comfort, but I'm so glad this restaurant is now under new management. I'll definitely be back.

Stopped by this place on a business trip and they were under a re-branding. Insides still felt like under renovations. Our server was fantastic though - very attentive and cared a lot about how we enjoyed the food.Food leaned good. Aqua Fresca was fresh, and the lengua was amazing. The tortillas were interesting though - they had hand made ones for their new menu and old ones for their old menu. The hand made ones were good, but not the others. They had interesting vegetarian options as well that I would recommend! The Al pastor oyster mushroom was amazing
