Wildbird

While I didn't step foot into wildbird, I had seen enough reviews, photos and I think my mouth watered enough for me to say ok, let's try it. I decided to order it on Postmates and what do you know, they had the buy one get one option. Usually when places have that, I get a little hesitant, but I thought I would give this place a shot. Ordered the chicken thinga plate and I was not disappointed. I got brussels sprouts and sweet potato. For some reason, I thought I wasn't going to get any rice, but it was actually under the chicken good healthy combination plate and I found my new place to order lunch from. Sorry for the lack of attention to detail on the picture. Was a quick photo while I was working to show the gf, but I'll take a better one next time I order.

I need to edit my review because I didn't realize this place serves only organic chicken! Because it's organic, the prices are a little higher, but fair for organic chicken. The ladies working there were so nice!My coworkers all said the food was good here so I got a quarter chicken plate with Mexican corn and guacamole and chips.Let me say, the sides were great! They gave me a huge helping of corn. Very generous amount of guacamole and it was really good! I like that the chips were seasoned as well, but there was a lingering taste that I didn't love.Unfortunately, the chicken didn't have much meat on it at especially the leg and thigh area. It looked like I got a lot of chicken, but there wasn't that much meat on the actual bone. I really had to work to get some meat scraps off of there. But now that I know it's organic chicken, that makes sense. The chicken we're accustomed to eating that isn't organically raised is full of growth hormones so that the chickens develop more meat on their bones. Now that I know this place is organic, it makes sense that the chicken didn't have as much meat. The chicken itself is seasoned very well!The salsas that I got were also amazing!! I got a like cilantro or basil crema and the fire roasted salsa. They were both great! You order at the kiosk and sit down and they bring your food, then you bus your table. So it's fast and convenient casual.

I think I've walked by this place before, but I am unsure. I ordered DoorDash last night, and decided to try it out. I ordered the Chicken Dinner Box! It comes with 2 entrees, 2 large sides, 2 small sides, and chips/guacamole.Everything came hot and fresh, and it was ready fairly quickly so service was cool. I chose the half chicken, chipotle chicken tinga over Spanish rice, Brussels sprouts, Mexican street corn, and charro beans. IT IS A LOT OF FOOD.I am not the biggest fan of the chicken tinga. It's too much sauce on it, and the flavor is not the best but a really nice portion. The half chicken was nicely seasoned, and the size of each piece was good. The sides were just not my type of flavor, I also didn't like the Spanish rice. It was a little gummy, and tasted heavy on the tomatoes. The guac and chips were good though. I don't think I'll be back. Just not my cup of tea.

I decided to drive a few minutes and checkout this place. If you're in dtla, it's best to order ahead and pick up your order because parking is a hassle. Luckily I found a meter! The restaurant is small but, very clean with limited seating. You place your order with the kiosk and if you're dining in, the server will bring your food to your table which I appreciate. I ordered the Chicken Tinga bowl which included rice, beans, salad, corn, guacamole and topped with crispy tortilla strips. The portion is very generous so you may have some leftovers. The flavor and tenderness of the Chicken Tinga is amazing! It definitely has a nice spice to it and I was overall happy with the bowl. Because I'm greedy, I had to try the Mac n cheese and I'm soooo glad I did. You can definitely tell this is made in house and is fresh. The flavor is definitely what Mac n cheese should be! Next time this will be one of my sides with my chicken. I will definitely be back to try other items and I highly recommend eating here if you want a healthier option for your meal.

I ordered the market plate boneless breast with roasted brussel sprouts and mac and cheese. Have to say it was very tasty. The wild sauce is pretty spicy was not expecting it to be that spicy I like it just a warning. I ordered it to go. The food overall was flavorful and I would go back. There seemed to only been one worker when I went in but they were not busy so service was fast. Ambiance was clean good amount of seats they had cashless iPad checkin on front and you could pay at the register. I hope to see more locations.

I was really in the mood for some chicken so I ordered this last night and I guess it must've been late. It was only about 7 o'clock but they gave me the old chicken, the old mac & cheese and the old sweet potatoes so everything tasted like leather. I was so disappointedthat's probably a good way for them to get rid of their garbage at the end of the night I don't appreciate it, and I'm not an idiot. I will never

Today is grand opening and decided to try out the food. On top of that they have a 50% off 1/4 chicken meal with 2 sides. Think of this place as a high end El pollo loco. The chicken is very moist and flavor and the sides are to die for. Don't miss out on the special...

Another 5 stars for wildbird ... fresh, healthy, organic chicken and veggies. Everything is delicious. Best takeout food in dtla. Just found out he's got locations in Westwood and West Hollywood as well. And can't beat it for less than $20.

I visited this restaurant for taco Tuesday and Joshua was exceptional with his customer service! Highly recommend and thank you again Joshua for the chips.

Amazing chicken and amazing sides! Those Brussel Sprouts were so good! Very nice staff, clean restaurant and incredibly fresh ingredients! Will definitely come back. Excellent quality, so glad they're so close! Very happy!!'
