We had a great dinner at Vitello's, which is always the perfect spot for good food, cocktails and a laid back evening of conversation among friends. Our server was friendly and attentive, and skillfully juggled ours with several other tables, never dropping the ball or missing a beat. The place was Saturday night busy, and there was plenty of energy in the room, which felt festive without being chaotic. The fried calamari & shrimp appetizer was fresh, tasty and perfectly cooked, and the 2, slightly acidic sauces contrasted nicely with the richness of the fish. The artisan bread, really a freshly-baked, old school white Italian bread a la 1960's NYC, was spot on, and the accompanying truffle butter gave it a nice boost (though plain old butter would have been just as wonderful on this piping hot loaf). Entrees were top notch. My porcini rubbed filet mignon was cooked a perfect medium, and the combo of the rub and reduced sauce gave it a rich, Earthy flavor. My friends orders Cabonara, Eggplant Parm and Chicken Parm, all of which checked all the boxes, leaving everyone quite satisfied. Between the stellar food and some excellently crafted cocktails we were too stuffed for dessert -- but we'll leave room next time. And there will definitely be a next time very soon.

A group of 15 of us went here during the week for a business dinner. They put us inside next to the open doors to the patio. We had a select menu. The arancini balls were yummy and easy to eat. The ceasar salad was delicious. I enjoyed the cace e Pepe and that was yummy.

Easy parking, beautiful space inside & out, cashless, and good service. The brunch menu is small, but there are delicious lunch options until 4 PM. We had the Lemon Ricotta Waffle, Veggie Omelette, and Breakfast Lasagna. The kitchen forgot the cheese in the omelette, the waffle presentation was sad, and the lasagna was a bit cold in the middle. Aside from those things, this is a classy location to enjoy a meal and I'd return for lunch or dinner.

Est. 1964-A staple of Studio City, Vitello's started out as an Italian Sub Shop, by Sal Vitello. In 1977, two Sicilian brothers took over, added a full Italian menu and kept the name. In 2001, Robert Blake brought international notoriety to Vitello's, (if you don't know the story, look it up) and the rest is history. We started off with the Meatballs and Garlic Bread. The sauce was excellent - tasty dish. Next up was the Carbonara with Poached Egg , Shallots and Pancetta. One of the best Carbonara dishes I've ever had. It was light , perfectly seasoned and filled with flavor from the egg yolk and Pancetta. An excellent dish. Also delicious is the Peppercorn Crusted Halibut with Saffron Risotto and Asparagus. The fish was tender and flaky, and the Risotto was cooked perfectly. What a great meal (We also enjoyed watching "Gone with the Wind" on the bar TV).The service was very good, but Vitello's adds a 3.5% "Quality of Life/Kitchen Appreciation" fee to each bill. I asked my server to remove the fee and they said that the charge was 'ridiculous' and they never add it to their checks - thank goodness! Best Carbonara in town - We will be back for more.

4 of us went for dinner Saturday Feb 15 and were very impressed. We ate in the upstairs section and it is fantastic. It seems similar to being in a private club back in the 40's or 50's. The acoustics are superb....even though it got quite crowded at its peak, the noise level was always very tolerable and we had no problem whatsoever talking/hearing. They had a singer and piano player and their level was also absolutely perfect (and the music was also really good!). The food and drinks were top notch. Our waiter, Will, was 5 star. He did a fantastic job taking care of us and also had a great sense of humor. There were also at least 3 managers who stopped by to check on us. It was clear that everyone there wants to make sure that the customers are having a good time. Really enjoyed it!

Delicious!!! Wild mushroom pasta was savory and rich. The chicken Parmesan had a good flaky crust and decadent flavor. Add a glass of Chianti and perfection! Service and ambiance were on point. Delightful Christmas music, and food suggestions based on our preferences were amazingly accurate.Perfect dinner, cheers!

From out of town looking for a piano bar and found a step back in time! Food was delicious and plentiful, vibe was relaxing and very well appointed. Took the tour of the full facility and were blown away into another era. Venel was our tour guide and was a delightful and knowledgeable young woman who was most gracious! Thank you so much. We will definitely be back when we are here again!Dave and Pat SmithPortland Oregon
