Arrived at 7pm on a Saturday and thankfully it wasn't packed! The menu is very minimal which I like because too many options can be overwhelming. Since it's in central market the ambience is cool and lively. The food and drinks were super good and different! The carne asada was cut perfectly and it had a hint of lime which made it really good. There was a good amount of meat, cheese and guacamole! The quesataco was my favorite and I would definitely return for more!9/10- quesataco8/10- taco

Villa's Tacos at Grand Central Market - Worth the Hype? So, my friends and I finally made it to Villa's Tacos for lunch after hearing tons of recommendations. I had to see what the hype was all about. It's been in the Michelin Guide for two years straight since they opened, which was super appealing to me as someone who loves checking out Michelin-featured spots.ParkingIf you know Grand Central Market, you know parking is a struggle. There are a few paid lots nearby, but they can get pricey. Luckily, I found a street parking spot near Angels Flight, which seems to have open spots pop up from time to time.AmbianceClassic Grand Central Market vibes packed during lunch hours. You line up to order (there was a bit of a wait, but nothing too crazy), grab your food, and find a seat at the nearby communal tables. Fast service, minimal wait time.FoodI went with the Villa's Trio 3 tacos($16.50), which the cashier recommended. For tacos, it's a little on the pricier side, but they're definitely not your typical street tacos. They hand-make their tortillas, and they're black corn tortillas, fried on a flat-top, giving them a unique chewy, crispy texture something I hadn't tried before. The flavor was interesting in a good way.The meat and sauce were solid, but was it Michelin-worthy? Not sure. I guess the uniqueness of their tacos is what sets them apart. You don't really find tacos like these elsewhere, so I get why they stand out. It's good, but not an everyday taco spot for me, mainly because of the price. That said, it's worth trying at least once for the experience. I'd probably stop by when I'm in the area and craving something different. One thing that really stood out, though while chatting with the cashier, I found out they've been giving out free meals to LA wildfire victims and first responders. That's amazing, and honestly, that alone makes me want to support them more.Big shoutout to Villa's Tacos for giving back to the LA community!

Villas tacos were very good, although each taco required several napkins. Perhaps bring your own wipes, as these can be messy. While I found them to be quite tasty, the toppings and preparation took away from the flavor of the proteins. Not a bad thing, really, but why have really tasty meats and then smotherThe flavor? Still, good tacos.

Villas Tacos is always showing up on my Tik Tok as the best taco in Los Angeles. Food content creators from all over have given the thumbs up on these tacos. This isn't the original location but the taste has to be the same I assume. I ordered two carne asada and one chicken taco. The wife ordered one carne asada and one potato taco. She enjoyed her potato taco. We both liked the carne asada tacos. They had a bbq-ish flavor to them. They were good but not the best. The chicken thigh meat taco wasn't good at all to me. So I did not get the tacos with cotija and crema because I don't like all that on my taco. Maybe that way is what everyone is calling the best taco in Los Angeles because mine weren't. Do not believe food content creators because most aren't genuine. They are strictly looking for views and followers. I do not have to come back to Villa Tacos ever again. Try for yourself though.

Got the villa's trio. No line when we went but line quickly formed behind usThere were a lot of fillings on the tacos. I wasn't sure what I was eating but they tasted very good! Very crispy on the outside with the burnt cheese.

Award winning taco? That's what was advertised. We tried the villa's trio, 3 tacos with chorizo, asada, and pollo. It was really good and messy. I especially loved the burnt cheese and guacamole topping. But, this is definitely a delicacy. At $6 per taco, it is pretty pricey. In the Bay Area, there are a lot of delicious and simple tacos for only $2 each. This is one of those things that is worth trying, but not something I will likely come back for.

This place is on a bunch of list and I will have to say they are well deserved of all the raves and reviews it has been receiving. I got the quesotaco and I can see 2 or 3 of those filling you up because they were packed. The queso creates a crispy edge around the taco itself. The toppings compliment one another. You actually don't even need to add salsa (unless you want some added heat) since the meat and the toppings were all already flavorful. The only thing critique I have about this location is that seating can be hard to come by.

Michelin 2024- Excellent tacos! First time to try queso tacos, filling and delicious !Asada , chorizo and chicken- one had potatoes. We tried the sampler, delicious tacos and it came with 4-5 different salsas. Good salsa ranging from mild, medium, and spicy. Spicy is spicy. We also had Jamaica drink, good. Service , line had 4-5 customers and wait was about 5 min. There are 10 tables in front and since it was after lunch time it was easy to find a seat. Such a great find and LA spot perfect for visit and locals.

Hot Damn these are some good tacos.Grand Central Market has so many spots to eat that finding something that makes me want to do a repeat is pretty amazing. But Villa's Tacos does that easily. Tender meat, blue corn tortillas and a great seasonings and toppings have made it a new favorite of mine when I'm at the GCM. Personally, I love the asada and I like the regular tacos more than the quesotaco...but honestly, can't go wrong here.
