I was there two Sundays ago with family and we ordered some Egusi and the green soup based on recommendations by King, our server/cashier. It was our first time there and the food was great. HOWEVER, it took so long. I do need to take the time to give kudos to King our server for being able to manage the demands all alone and even went to the kitchen to cook our food for us while still serving everyone else (alone). I do feel that if the restaurant had more workers it would save a lot of time for us the customers, and less stress for the staff. We came back again this past Sunday, and it was the same thing. We loved the food, but just keep in mind that there is going to be a long wait.

Delicious dishes all round ordered the Pepper Soup which was spicy but hit the spot. It's very similar to a Mexican dish called Menudo but also includes liver. The Okra was my least fav dish but worth a try.. wish there was a smaller version because we felt bad not finishing it. We order the red stew too. Sauce tasted just like tomato soup soo good. and the Jollof rice was omg soo good and the paired chicken was probably our favorite. The chicken was crunchy and soaked in sauce too!The palm tree juice was surprisingly refreshing Overall great service, great recs we all left satisfied. Would go back

This food is amazing!!!!! Had never tried African food before and this blew my mind. It's a small hole in the wall but from what I can tell they own the whole building? They do take quite some time getting the food ready so just keep that in mind and either order way ahead of time or just prepare to wait. The egusi with fufu and jollof was everything I needed on a cold Saturday morning. I definitely plan on coming back!

Amazing food and service at Veronica's Kitchen. The owner and chef, Veronica is a real life Nigerian Chief! She is a humble, welcoming, and talented chef and leader! I've had both take out and dine-in meals here. The fufu is outstanding. The egusi is mind blowing! We've ordered just about everything on the menu and loved it all! The staff is hard working and super friendly. Best Nigerian food outside of Nigeria! Promise!

Veronica your food is amazing. Its hands down a great Nigerian menu. We ended up getting the fufu with the beef egusi. Which does not disappoint. You MUST try it because it it worth the hype!! The establishment itself is very small on the inside, so be prepared to take your items home. The food is pipping hot and ready to eat as soon as you get out of the car LOL. Its super duper delicious!! Our only complaint is: Your order system really needs to improve. This is twice we've come and you cannot find our order. To top it off, we waited an additional 1 hour for our food to be ready - Its very unacceptable!!! We understand the volume of orders and running a small business, but make sure to please emphasize that our order will not be ready and to come in 2 hours. Other than that, THE FOOD SPEAKS FOR ITSELF!! You have to try what she has to offer!! The cook is amazing and the food is too!! Sorry no pictures, we rushed home and gobbled it up LOL

Authentic Nigerian home cooking, close to LAX. The menu is varied, including regional dishes served in family style portions. Prices may seem high, but dishes feed 3-4 people. The interior is casual and simply decorated, with a small amount of seating. They serve Nigerian beer and wine. I knew I had made a good choice when the other patrons dining at Veronica's informed me that they are Nigerian. As I waited for my takeout order, we chatted about popular Nigerian dishes and how to eat them, which I appreciated, since this was my first time trying the cuisine. To be honest, I had ordered without knowing what I was getting lol. I was happy to have made some friends to talk with, since I waited 45 minutes for my takeout order, despite the restaurant not being busy. I ended up with Edikaikong, a spicy and healthy Nigerian classic with flavorful greens and big hunks of preserved fish. I loved the greens, which I enjoyed with the firm, creamy mashed potato-esque fufu. The fish was way too salty for me; I will ask for an entirely vegetarian dish next time. I also enjoyed the Nigerian beer, which reminded me of Coors Banquet.

This place was trending a few years back, but me & my best friend decided to finally try it. This place is known for their Fufu and the soups we ordered: the Edikanikan i think & the Egusi soup, which we had ordered with beef. The service was pretty good. People were waiting for over an hour for their foods, but my order thankfully only took about 45 mins. I'm not sure if it's because they ordered way more. I heard a customer come in saying they placed an order online about 10 mins before I ordered at the restaurant and I got my food before them and even ate at the restaurant & they were still waiting. Just be prepared to wait if you ever come here! As you can see from the pictures they gave us big portions which i loved hahaha.
