UOVO | Studio City

Their pasta was better than I've had in Italy. Sure their noodles are imported from there but the sauces here were more delicious and flavorful!! The restaurant can be easily missed at this center. Nice dark lit place with fresh pastas. Service was excellent. I'm still dreaming about the panna cotta dessert. Perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess. It's a small place so the wait can be long but we just walked around the shopping center until we got a text that it was our turn. They have an amazing coursed meal for $37 a person that includes sharing an appetizer, 3 pasta dishes and dessert. It's a great deal for all that food. Lastly, they have a no tipping policy but they do charge a 16% service fee so I feel like they bake in some of the tip.

The pasta here is so soft and delicious. Absolutely love their pasta. Service was friendly and welcoming. I got the carbonara and it was delicious. The bacon was crispy and had a nice crunch to it. So glad it wasn't just a ball of chewy fat like carbonara pastas at other restaurants. Boyfriend got the arrabbiata pasta and he loved it.We also tried the salad and yellowtail crudo. Both were ok and nothing too amazing but it was good. Our other guest at the table got a cauliflower side and that was delicious! The server recommended it with the ravioli so I recommend it too.Service was very friendly and attentive. Only reason for 4 stars is that we were told it will be around 30 minutes and we ended up waiting closer to an hr. I believe we waited around 50 minutes total.. I saw many customers here just sitting around after finishing their food and just gossiping about who knows what.. Also, the portions are not super big. We were still a little hungry after the meal especially if the pasta you ordered was not heavy on cream or cheese, you won't be as full as the people who ordered pastas with heavy cheese or cream sauces.

UOVO is the best pasta place in Studio City. The location is great, and it's in a plaza with many other nice stores to check out. The Carbonara is the highlight, and there is tons of seating on the inside. I have been to UOVO multiple times, but it's always better with mommy. Had a great lunch date with delicious food. We always like to sit in the bar area and get the truffle and cheese chef tasting menu. You can't go wrong and it's a great experience.

The food is good and the price is right. The service is great and the place is cozy but small. The only problem is the wait. We waited of 2 1/2 hours when we should've have been seated within 1 1/2 hour because they put a party before us and place them when our party of 7 should be seated together. We have to wait for another hour just to clear a table fit for our party.

Uovo is a well-renowned restaurant that is hailed for their high-quality pasta dishes where they ship the ingredients for their pasta dough overnight from Italy! While I never went until recently, the exterior of their restaurant and their logo appeared sleek and romantic. Inside, it is nothing different.We sat at the bar directly around the cooks and the service navigating their way around the chaos, swiftly completing everyone's orders yet still being attentive to the visitors sitting inside. The lighting was dim, it was not super rowdy, and the theatrics of pasta flipping in the air with the sizzling sound of spices and herbs were pristine. We ordered the arrabiatta, funghi, and the truffle tagliatelle special, plus their tiramisu at the end for dessert. Everything tasted sublime but especially the combination of funghi and arrabiatta. Overall, Uovo is such a lovely place to visit--not just for the food but for the ambiance!

Just stumbled on this amazing pasta bar. Great service. delicious. We're told it can get to a 4 hour wait on busy nights. We walked right in for lunch.

I almost don't want to tell you how special this place is because ya know... the wait is long enough already! But... IT IS MOTHER-LOVING SPECIAL!!! Like, - OMFG WTAH just happened to me - special... From the ambiance, with the low lights and Italian pasta, to the care by the waitstaff and insanely friendly army of chefs expertly preparing these dishes right in front of you. If you don't fall in love with Uovo, then you didn't have a soul in the first place. This is simple and complex all at once. Comfort food of the highest quality in a mysteriously magical piazza hiding in plain sight. It is too good for Studio City. The price is right on target. Just f-ing go! You will NOT regret it... unless you have no tastebuds and no soul. In which case, I highly recommend the Olive Garden.

Amazing experience with Uovo!! Their pastas are sooo good that I couldn't stop eating...I also tried their tartare, sooo good!!The service was fantastic and the place is well located in a very nice and clean mall.I recommend Uovo to everyone: go there people and enjoy the taste of Italian cuisine
