Uncle Johnny's Burgers

Uncle johnnies does not exist anymore. It's no where to be found and I've gone during their supposed open hours. Please update.

Uncle Johnny's has some amazing burgers. Perfectly charbroiled patties, fresh toppings, and gooey cheese. Their fries are also well-seasoned and shouldn't be overlooked. My only problem was the size of the patty. One patty was a bit too small while the double made it a bit too meaty. Slightly smaller patty sizes would make the double just right. My two cents.

Uncle Johnny's Burgers is an unassuming table set up around the side of Glendale Tap. I got the Classic Johnny Burger (cheese, raw onions, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and super sauce) with an extra patty, and it was really great! Since I ate it when I got home, I also added some fresh, chopped jalapeño I had for some kick. You really can't beat a good smash burger patty fried up! Also, I wasn't expecting much from the crinkle cut fries, but they are not to be missed! Perfectly cooked, seasoned, and salted. The guys that work there are also super nice. I'm definitely a fan!

Uncle Johnny's is a "Tent Pop Up" that serves great food. The only issue here is when they will be popping up. Los Angeles has eased the rules on these types of places to eat, which is fine by me.The burgers here are old school, good, and fresh. They also offer ribs that are very decent. The service is always friendly, and the prices are not bad at all.The only issue is knowing. Knowing when they will raise the tent once again.

Underwhelmed altogether with the experience. We were looking forward to a nice experience after being avid fish and chips fans of Catch 56. This "pop up" seemed a great idea but lost us with the presentation of the "goods", the burgers were only mediocre, in that the burger lacked substation and flare. The buns looked and tasted like packaged bun from the local grocery store. I had ordered that the onions be grilled but not only were they not grilled, there were none at all. The top bun had no dressing at all, it was barely toasted. It took a long time for the order to arrive yet there were few people. It would have been better to NOT Pop up this place. The stars that I attributed was for "effort" as in elementary school, there were only two people manning the grills.

Thank you everyone at Uncle Johnny's Burgers. The staff, service, price, and their food is top notch. I love the family vibe of this place. Their hamburger is the best burger I have ever eaten in my 43 years of being alive. Not even exaggerating. I heard their chicken sandwich is awesome too. I will be back to try everything they have to offer. I love finding hidden gems through Yelp and this is by far my favorite find ever. I can't believe I have never heard of this place till now. Do yourself a favor and come check this place out. You will not be disappointed.

We hired Uncle Johnny's Burgers to cater a birthday party, and it was the best decision I have ever made in my entire life. They provided all the food, chips and sodas, offered guests a menu where they could select from three burger options or grilled cheese, Dwayne and Darren came early with plenty of time to set up, started taking orders and had the most delicious burgers to offer people within a short time after ordering. I cannot say enough good things about the burgers and this burger pop up. If you have the opportunity to eat a burger from Uncle Johnny's, DO IT. These guys are the best.

I've had this place book marked for the last month and haven't made it out because yelp always has the hours of operation listed as closed. I highly recommend calling to find out when they're opened and where they're going to be located because WOW is all I can say, this burger was flavorful, juicy and fresh, the only thing I would have done differently to improve my experience would have been to get 2 of them! This review is pretty long overdue as I've been coming to Uncle Johnny's for the last two years. Quite simply one of the best burgers you will find in Los Angeles. I remember my first bite into the beautiful smash burger patty fried up to perfection, the soft bun, and the incredible special sauce. My taste buds died and went to heaven. Now the owner has added a spicy chicken sandwich to the menu and it's arguably even better than the burger. Not too hot but moist and bursting with flavor, topped off by the same secret sauce from the burger.During COVID they are now set-up outside Glendale Tap usually Friday/Saturday and sometimes Thursdays. Make sure to go early if you want to snag a chicken sandwich as they can sell out quickly!Also just wanted to add that they owner, Dwayne, and his son are super nice and welcoming! They definitely make you feel like you are a friend, not just a customer.

Effing Delicious. You cannot find a better dinner. The buns are butter-spread and toasted to perfection, the bacon is heaven sent, and the spiced chicken sandwich has reached the fine nirvana of strong crunch on the outside and the juicy moist of chicken on the inside that you've oh so many times failed to capture in your own kitchen. Oh, and don't get me started on the coleslaw, pickles and secret sauce. This coleslaw has made me reconsider my lifelong ban on coleslaw. While I am not sure why you are still reading, my best and strong advice to you is to simply put your phone down and stop imagining and start living your best life and dinner at Uncle Johnnys Burgers.
