We came for Dine LA Feb 2025, and Uchi was easily the best value and best tasting Dine LA menu we had during the week. Walking in, this restaurant screams class. It has a gorgeous interior and honestly my friends told me they wish I told them earlier because they felt incredibly underdressed... especially compared to all the people sitting around us! A perfect spot if you want to impress your date or treat yourself. I'll get the bad points out of the way first, since it's pretty short: we did, admittedly, take a look at the regular menu and gawked at the prices (I was so certain that the nigiri was 2 pieces per order with those prices). I can pretty comfortably say we'd only be back for a special occasion or the next Dine LA - but Uchi will definitely be at the back of my mind when I deserve to treat myself. The other thing is that when we got seated, our waiter had a mix up and forgot about us for like 15-20 minutes. When we finally flagged him down, he profusely apologized and gave us some delicious nigiri on the house... so honestly, if I come back, I definitely wouldn't mind being fogotten about for a while again. Great deal, especially considering the price of each nigiri! The Dine LA menu changes every time it comes around (and even changes throughout the week) so I won't get too in depth with each item, but, I can say as a whole, every item was a hit and delicious. Our favorites included the hamachi ponzu, the pork belly gunkan, and for dessert, the banana pudding (honestly the lychee sorbet was also great and we would unironically come back just to try more of their desserts). Notable shout outs to the nigiri, which were all also amazing: the salmon belly, chutoro, and blackperch were all delicious. We were also served brussel sprouts and raw oyster as part of Dine LA menu - and while I am definitely not a brussel sprouts/oyster person, even I had to admit both of these were pretty good. I hope Uchi continues to do Dine LA in the future - I loved my experience so much!

My boyfriend and I came here for the Valentine's Day omakase special and needless to say, it was very good. We also added on the hotate no tataki, which was probably my favorite dish of the night. Each of the 10 courses included in the omakase were flavorful, but the sushi stood out the most. Each piece of fish was perfectly paired with a garnish that complemented its flavor. Some of cooked entrees were a bit dry and slightly salty. I feel like the first half of the omakase was so outstanding that the latter half was a little bit disappointing as the courses weren't as great as the first ones. We also got a starter as well as a palate cleanser not included on the menu. The service was also amazing and our server was very attentive and sweet to us. However, one complaint that I have is that the dishes seemed to come out in random bursts as some would come to our table at the same table while other times, we would have to wait quite a bit of time in between courses. However, I have no complaints as we did get another dessert on the house!Overall, this place is evidently very high-end and serves delicious dishes with flavors that blend perfectly in your mouth.

Came here on a Thursday night and it was busy and lively. Upscale sushi bar with various seatings. Made reservations for the sushi bar. Was able to sit in front of the sushi chef to take our orders and watch him do different cuts.We opted for a la carte but the sushi chef told us she was able to accommodate a budget if we chose omakase. Started off with a beautiful palate cleanser. The oysters were fresh and had a good kick. The nigiri tasted good with decent rice ratio. The San Francisco black cod had a good sauce that tasted similar sweet and sour sauce. The fried milk was amazing! The pacing of food coming out was very poor. The small dishes came out relatively quick in bursts. We waited about 20 minutes for the hot stone. The sushi chef had to remind the staff for the Wagyu to come out. After waiting quite a bit we had to wait another 15 minutes for the dessert to come out.The service here is slow. Took a while for them to clear the dishes and waiting some time in between dishes was not ideal. For this price point I believe the fish quality could've been better.

Was super excited to check the newest addition of Uchi restaurants out, especially because it was one of my favorite restaurants in Denver. The physical restaurant itself is trendy, modern, and airy with lots of wood and plant accents. There's a sushi bar and sizable outdoor seating area as well. The menu featured lots of Uchi staples found across all locations and also a few LA-specific featured items. If you're new to Uchi, these are the must-trys:+ hama chili+ kinoko nabe+ onion ring tempura+ gyutoro nigiri+ pork belly nigiri

Uchi WeHo opened up in December 2023 and at the time of opening was the sixth location in the Uchi universe which started out of the state of Texas, a state that is better known for barbecue and Tex-Mex; imagine that! The location is on the ground floor of the Nine Thousand One building and it occupies a large space with different dining areas including a patio and sushi bar. The design thread is polished and clean with a mid century vibe with a lot of wood elements. The food menu features various tastings such as omakase and somakase, various prepared hot and cold dishes, a list of different nigiri and sashimi, specials, desserts and much more. Their drink menu is pretty large and features various signature and classic cocktails, sake, beer and wines.I had a great experience with a friend and was served by Haezy at the time who provided exceptional care and service. I had their G&T and a citrus old fashioned drinks wise and the drinks were well made. We decided to do the somakase tasting which is a curated tasting menu and feasted on about 10+ various dishes. Some dishes we had included the hama chili, various nigiri - madai, masu, bluefin akami, kanpachi, inada and various other dishes. We were also treated with the fried milk dessert which was so good. The quality and taste of everything was superb and we really enjoyed the time. Parking may be difficult in the vicinity but they do have valet in the front. Prices are on par to the times and the area.

Celebrated my birthday at Uchi in West Hollywood that blends trendiness with top-tier quality. The vibe is sleek and modern, with an energetic yet intimate ambiance that makes it perfect for both a stylish night out and a special dining experience. We started with the Wagyu Tartare with Sesame Crackers, which was incredibly rich and buttery, perfectly complemented by the crisp, nutty sesame crackers. The oysters were fresh and briny, setting the tone for a meal that was all about high-quality ingredients. The Uchi Salad was a refreshing surprise, balancing delicate greens with a well-balanced, umami-forward dressing.Next came the Hama Chili, a beautifully plated dish of yellowtail with Thai chili and citrus, offering the perfect mix of heat and acidity. The Eggplant Tempura was light and crispy, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture that made it one of the standout vegetarian options. For sushi, the Bluefin Toro Maki was indulgently rich, with the perfect fat-to-rice ratio that made each bite incredibly satisfying. The Hotate No Tataki (seared scallops) was another highlight--sweet, tender, and lightly kissed by the flame to enhance its natural flavors. One of the most exciting dishes was the Hot Rock Australian Wagyu Beef--a fun, interactive experience where you cook the ultra-marbled slices tableside on a sizzling hot stone. Each bite was incredibly juicy, packed with umami, and left us wanting more.I love Uchi, they delivered on both quality and presentation. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the energy of the space made the experience even more enjoyable. For anyone looking for a sophisticated yet approachable sushi experience in West Hollywood, this is a must-visit!

Uchi is amazing and lives up to it's reputation. The food is expensive but it is tasty and I think its worth it. We went for Dine LA and it was great to taste a lot of dishes. We added a few more dishes on top of Dine LA since the portions are delicate. I would go back just for their amazing Brussels Sprouts and Coconut Tapoica dessert! Other stand out dishes were the Oysters, Hama Chili Yellowtail, Avocado Nigiri and Kabocha Tempura. The only dish that really disappointed me was the Grilled Cobia - i thought it was way too salty. Great service and ambience too! And happy hour was great. I got a $10 subarashi cocktail that was slightly soicy and all deliciousness.

Don't go to Nobu, go to Uchi for the best sushi in LA! The quality of everything here is really great and fresh. I had the Akami crudo, Hama chilli, San Francisco black cod, pork belly, kinoko nabe with Gyutoro added, and some orders of nigiri that I can't remember. Though I do remember it was delicious. I could probably skip the kinoko nabe rice bowl next time just because it wasn't as good as the rest, but still good nonetheless. If you come here you MUST get the fried milk for dessert. BEST. DESSERT. EVER. I would even go here to only eat the fried milk. The service was great. Our server was really knowledgeable and recommended us a bunch of things based on our preferences we gave him. He knocked it out of the park with his recommendations. The place is really spacious. There are a bunch of tables or bar seating inside, and there are also tables to sit at outside. The restaurant is a great place for a celebratory meal, a special occasion, or if you just want to indulge in great sushi.

Uchi! Uchi! Uchi! The sushi was bomb! We did the Dine LA tasting menu (only $55 to try a ton of different items!). The menu can be a bit pricey but they also have an insane happy hour with food and drink options. Our server was always on top of it - our water glasses never went dry, he consistently poured everyone's sake, and the food to table part was really fast! The ambience is definitely on the trendier side. They have three rooms and are located near a ton of other West Hollywood bars, including Weho's Abby. (The photos only include a few of the items we were served). I'd definitely return.

Uchi has incredible vibes and ambiance, which is noticed immediately upon entering. Whether you're seated indoors or out, you'll have a great seat. My friends and I went for their DineLA Menu this week and had a wonderful experience. Service was awesome and they also have a daily happy hour from 5-6 which allowed us to have several rounds of cocktails at a super reasonable price. Good food and service- no complaints there. The only thing was slightly annoying was that our 10 course DineLA menu was served randomly and out of order; I definitely didn't want oysters as my last course right before dessert. Some standouts were the toro hand roll, pork belly, Brussels sprouts, yellowtail. I would definitely come back, but highly recommend making a reservation.
