Used to be an amazing spot- since discontinuing the fried potato option for both the burritos and tacos I'm forced to order from the plant based menu as a vegetarian. I know this doesn't apply to everyone but that potato burrito was the best one! Bring it back! And they love to tell you they're understaffed "right now" but I think they're always short staffed and they apologize for the slow service Bring back the fried potato!

Tu Madre is a dynamic and moody space that puts diners in a fiesta spirit. Tu Madre has personality, character, and good food. We ordered the chicken al pastor and KBBQ braised beef street tacos, and they tasted phenomenal. I loved how there was a slight hint of sweetness combined with the classic aromas of grilled meat. The chips and guac were also well-balanced in texture and flavor. The Casa Margarita was a nice blend of varietal tropical fruits that really highlighted themselves in the Cointreau. The Strawritta mocktail was also a fun drink!Tu Madre is a great place for friends and family alike, and you can definitely join in on the fun here.

Service was extremely disappointing to say the least. When we were taken to our table we were not offered chips and salsa, but as soon as the people behind us were seated they had their chips and salsa rushed out. Our water pitcher was never refilled and we weren't offered any additional drinks. They rarely came to check on our table. I asked for a bag for my leftover food and they forgot to bring it, I had to ask again. They weren't even that busy, I can't imagine how it is when it gets busy. The food was not good at all. The guacamole tasted bad, the avocados used were extra ripe and almost tasted old. The vegan fried avocado burrito was so soggy. We ordered tacos with no spicy salsa and of course they had spicy salsa when we got them. The espresso martini was absolutely disgusting, super strong and could not taste the espresso at all. The restrooms were beyond filthy. Piss all over the floor and no toilet seat covers and no hand towels for drying the hands. I've seen cleaner bathrooms at Starbucks. Bottom line, will not be returning to this overpriced, overrated with poor service place.

Came here for a girl's night out and it was exactly the vibe/aesthetic we were looking for. Super cute outdoor seating. I got the braised beef bowl which I really liked. My friend got the fried chicken bowl which I thought was even better because it had a hot honey glaze over it. They were very filling. Expensive for what it is but that's LA for you :/ We got the red velvet churros which were really cakey/ doughy, not crunchy like we were expecting but still good! We also got the margarita flight, some of them were watered down. Service was okay.

Tu Madre is just 2 blocks from me and we only just visited this past Friday...not sure why it took me so long to check it out. First off the service was incredible. It was fast and super friendly. The vibes were on point and for a chilly night they had the heaters going which was so appreciated. We ordered off the Happy Hour menu which is one of the best around by the way in terms of value. We ordered the Chips and Guac and it was the size of a meal! They did not hold back. I ordered 2 tacos...the Jackfruit Carnitas and the Eggplant Chorizo. My fav was the Jackfruit Carnitas and I would go back and order like 10 of them and just make that my entire meal. The Eggplant Chorizo I didn't finish. It was way too saucey. My drink was the Mango Chelada...I think that was the name. Wouldn't order that again. Taste was off for me but I'm happy to go back and work my way down the drink menu. Parking can be difficult but we got there about 5ish and got a spot out front. Would definite recommend for grabbing a quick drink and appetizer with friends.

Literally my favorite place to get plant based tacos! I always order using a 3rd party source ordering the Avocado taco, Jack fruit taco and elote bowl. I recently discovered their breakfast burrito (egg, cheese and avocado) simple but tasty, especially with the sauces on the side. I love how fresh chips are always provided with your order. I haven't been disappointed yet as the food is consistently delicious. I've dined in once and the service from the waiter was nice and attentive. He checked in on us and was able to answer all of our questions and was the one whom recommended the avocado tacos! We sat out in patio during the late afternoon and enjoyed the boho decor and music. Everyone around us seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Went here for breakfast one Sunday morning and was pretty disappointed.We arrived right when they opened, only two other parties seated. The service was okay not attentive but at least polite. The menus were disgusting. As you can see in the pictures they were so dirty I really didn't even want to touch it. They felt sticky and gross with several food stains.I order 3 different tacos. All which came to me very cold! It took a. While for me to get the servers attention to being me out new ones. Then when I got the new ones they were just warm. The tortilla was hot but the meat was room temp. I was kind of grossed out by that point /: I only ate one and tossed the others. We also ordered a breakfast burrito and enjoyed it but it was nothing special.The only thing really going for the place is the ambiance. Very cute and aesthetic. Besides that there's much better hot spots in WeHo if you want good food and drinks.
