Sam IS THE MAN! He's the GMAnd totally takes care of you. Makes sure the patrons are happy, he goes out of his way. The sushi is fresh and amazing. Seriously the garlic edamame is ammmmmmazing! And seriously try the sexy roll it's off the chain! The spicy tuna has yellowtail wrapped around it! Omg my new fav place it's undercover!

Came here on Valentine's Day and the food and service were superb. This was our first time here and we will definitely coming back. Everything we ordered was soooo good. Started with the Toro sashimi which was so fresh and buttery. Next a few orders of saba and hirame sushi and then a hot dish the miso cod. Portion size for the cod was very generous. Every bite was mouth watering. I also ordered the udon as I was craving soup on a cold night and the flavors and noodles hit the spot.Only downside is parking but it's expected for this area. If you can find street parking on Melrose you are a winner!

We had an exceptional sushi experience in LA, with the most delicious sushi and warm hospitality from the owners! My daughter and I are on a California road trip! So glad this was our 1st dining experience in LA!

Dined here just before closing and they helped us out regardless and were so friendly! Wendy is a fast friend and we are so excited to go back and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. The sushi itself was delightful and well made. Thanks guys!

An amazing spot to visit for date night or for a night out with the friends. The sushi is top tier with a ton of options at reasonable prices across the board. I had the Salmon Jalapeño which is rich with flavor and not too hot as the name might suggest for some.And of course can't go wrong with crispy tuna crispy rice. The service was quick, and attentive which also helped a ton in a group setting.

Meeting a friend, and wanting sushi without all the glam, bells and whistles of LA, I found this neighborhood gem. The place is small and quaint, so make advance reservations as I did, dinner for 3 at 7:30 on a Friday night. Parking is on the street, my friend and I got lucky, a spot in front. When we arrived, we were greeted and seated at a cozy table for 3.We got a pitcher of Sapporo beer while looking over the menu. For as packed as the restaurant was with what seemed like 1 waiter, service was very efficient. We ordered Masago, Sea Urchin, Yellowtail, Salmon, Eel and Sweet Shrimp Sushi along with the Bluefin Carpaccio, Hamachi Jalapeno, Soft Shell Crab and Spicy Tuna Roll. All the dishes came out amazingly fast. Presentation all good and tasting fresh and delicious.Atmosphere: small, nice, typical Japanese decor. Service: excellent. Food: very good.

I recently had an omakase meal, and the sushi just melted in my mouth. While I don't have a picture, the miso soup stood out with crab meat and mushrooms, giving it a deep, rich flavor. The owner's warm service and the cozy, family-like atmosphere of the restaurant really made the experience special. I'd love to come back often!

I usually never give a sushi place a 10/10 but honestly this place has the best hostess, service, and food. I am so grateful to have this as my go to la sushi spot. They use super fresh fish and done overload it with sauce. Wendy, the owner, really does an amazing job welcoming her guests and giving recommendations. Also the sushi is not overloaded with sauces. I feel like Tsuri really values keeping the taste of fish the star. They pair with really grate ingredients and don't make it too heavy. Good spots for birthday, dates, groups and just AMAZING sushi.

We LOVE this place. Wendy and Nick are amazing and always take care of us, they make us feel at home. My fiancé has celiac and they are great about accommodating to her gluten free needs. They have GF eel sauce and soy sauce, but the frier is not dedicated GF. Come get bomb sushi here!
