What I ordered:- Ajitama tsukemenEasily the best tsukemen l've ever had and the only place I go to for it! Broth is insanely rich and the thick noodles absorb all the flavor perfectly while maintaining the right amount of chewiness. The ajitama is just enough meat for me, but order the char siu if you want more.I highly recommend ordering extra limes to squeeze on your noodles before dipping and to add the brown condiment takana (pickled mustard greens) to your broth for added spice and acidity. Do yourself a favor and stop by!

VEGAN NOODLES: I tried the vegan noodles as I do not eat red meat and it was just okay. My friend was raving over her noodles, but the vegan option was just average. Nothing more special than other vegan noodles I have had. I always see a line outside so I had to try them, but the vegan option was just okay. That said, I am glad they offer one!AMBIENCE: The main location is pretty small and tight. I struggled to fit a stroller in the shop.SERVICE: Quick once seated!

TLDR: Tsujita peaked... And I'm pretty bummed about it. I hope they return to their previous menu options. It feels they've relocated to the annex, and I should have taken the sign that times have changed when there were no longer lines even on a Saturday night! - - - - - - Beware that their menu may now be located at Annex. Compared to what I usually had, today's experience was beyond disappointing. First, the host used the waitlist as a suggestion, letting people who wandered off and missed their call back on the waitlist - chaotic. Second, their Chashu Ramen was small, unfulfilling portions. For nearly a $20 bowl of noodles, I expected more than a snack sized portion of ramen with 5 of the smallest pieces of Chashu that I've seen in my life. Compared to previous visits, the broth itself was fatty, though lacking in flavor. The flavor profile erred on salty but not satisfying. At the time of writing, my friend and I went elsewhere for a second dinner... Not only out of still being hungry but to get another taste into our mouths. Outside of that, the staff were present though short and largely unapproachable. All in all, I am most sad that I can no longer recommend Tsujita to my friends.

Honestly a bit disappointed with the food. I've eaten here years ago and at that time I remember the food being delicious, but this time around it didn't taste how I remembered. The broth was lukewarm and didn't have that rich flavor I was anticipating. Noodles had great texture though, its just the broth that was disappointing. Not sure if Id come back.

Ahh the famous Tsujita known for its tsukemen. Always busy, always a wait but the food comes pretty quickly. I went with the Spicy Tsukemen which has chopped pieces of chashu in the broth and a whole egg. I'm gonna say it... I'm not a fan of dipping my noodles. Maybe I'm lazy but I'd take a bowl of ramen over it any day. The broth tasted kinda sour-ish and not spicy enough for my liking. I ended up just mixing my noodles with the broth and by the end I was wishing for a soup I could slurp on lol. Also the prices here are not cheap. There are other ramen places I'd rather go to at this price.

I love Tsujita! One of my go-to spots on Sawtelle, when I get lucky enough to catch it at a time where there isn't too much of a wait. Love the outdoor seating as the inside can get a bit packed, and I was also really excited to see the updated menu during my last visit, which now includes a spicy tsukemen! I found the addition of the spices to the tsukemen broth made it even more flavorful and enjoyable than before for me. The noodles are always so chewy, meat so tender, and egg cooked perfectly. Please bring Tsujita to the Bay Area!

I am picky with ramen as heck not bc I'm a connoisseur, but bc I find most ramen places have their pork broth too salty and/or rich for my palate. However, I have finally found another ramen place that suits my palate of not being too salty or rich. I got the spicy tonkotsu ramen tonight and it was so good!!! The spice was just right and not overwhelming. I asked for a side of fresh garlic ($1) and it took my taste buds to another level! I tried the chashu bowel ($8.95) and that was delicious as well! One downside is that for $18.95, the portion was relatively small and I have to knock down one star. Service was decent and the place is busy as usual. Good thing that they have heaters for outdoor seating for this chilly time of the year.

I'm always picky about finding good ramen. This place is amazing!Parking sucks. Do be mindful of the posted signs. The wait time is long due to it's popularity But once ur in the servers are wonderful. And it's a great spot to hang with loved ones. Feels like home.

I have only had tsukemen ramen once in my life before trying Tsujita and it was terrible. Tsujita, by contrast, delicious. Not like any regular ramen you've had before, tsukemen is an experience of its own. It's too bad that there are no good places in the Bay, but I'm glad I tried Tsujita! The tsukemen had amazing flavor, the ramen noodles were super chewy, the cha shu was nice and fatty, the eggs were delightful. The lime gives it a nice vibrant compliment to the richness of the meal. My only regret was not ordering a L. We ordered the cha shu rice bowl for my baby, but she was all over our tsukemen instead. She knows what's good! That said, the cha shu is also good. Flavorful with some burnt taste that was a very good contrast to the ramen. Vibrant and burnt somehow works. Service was excellent. Seated quickly and attended to. Very small location with street parking. We came on a weekday for lunch and they were busy!

Finally got to try this place and you can tell everything is high quality and fresh. We came on a Thurs around 1:30 and it was still pretty busy but we didn't have any wait for a table of 3. They have both indoor and outdoor seating options. We got the tsukemen (regular) and the spicy chashu tsukemen (large). The portion sizes are pretty big! My partner was so stuffed after trying to finish his large since they gave A TON of noodles and a large portion of meat. The standard tsukemen I ordered only has chashu in the dipping soup and the noodles just have an egg. The soup is made out of a combination of pork and seafood (bonito). It is really thick and coats the noodles well. The noodles had the perfect chew and come cool to dip in the warm soup. It comes with a lime you can squeeze on top but I think I'd probably pass on that next time.Overall, it isn't my favorite style of ramen as it was a bit heavy but I'm happy I tried it.
