Had lunch at Amici yesterday and was really impressed!Ambiance at this restaurant is lovely. We sat outside and had a nice view of the fountains.Service was excellent! Food came out quickly as well.Food itself was fantastic. Our party of three ordered lasagna, spaghetti, two soups, and a side of potatoes/broccolini. It was all delicious.Prices were pretty reasonable! We'll definitely return.

The food was incredibly mediocre. If I had cheap five dollar copy cats of the meals compared to these I wouldn't taste the difference. The salad leafs in our caesar salad were not fresh, and the pizza wasn't flavorful. The service is one of the most bad parts about this experience. We had a party of eight that was ready to be seated after walking up, they said they could only seat us in two different tables close to eachother or we would have to wait two hours. So obviously we chose the two different tables, however we were dumbfounded why we couldn't scoot closer as it was inches away. The most infuriating part was there was a huge table open, perfect for eight people, that was empty the whole time we were there. After speaking to management, they brushed us off. Before leaving (mind you it's been an hour) we see a two people take the seat at the eight people table even though their policy says "whole party must be there" and they proceed to just sit there for half an hour, chatting it up with one of the servers since their party isn't all there, because they knew eachother. Last but not least - ambience... hmm all the toilets in the female restrooms were clogged. Yes, all three. We had to wait outside the bathroom for a long time before even being able to pee. So overall not worth the couple hundred dollars, please save your money and go somewhere where your taste buds will taste the difference between dominos pizza and salads and authentic italian ones. Somewhere where you can empty your bladder quicker without waiting for them to repair toilets, and last but not least with better management and seating!

The manager was very attentive and kept checking on us. He even explained the appetizer menu to us.I really can taste the truffle oil in my Rigatoni Ala Norcina pasta and it tasted very well. My boyfriend got the same pasta but with Rigatoni and I got Pappardelle pasta instead. I noticed his portion was a little bigger. Maybe because the pasta is different but I wish I got a little more pasta. Anyways, the food tasted amazing and it was a nice treat for us. Glad to have found this place.

Speechless!! The food is absolutely delicious, service is great and the atmosphere is a total vibe! If you are in the area then this place is a MUST! You can even stop by for just a drink or coffee and dessert! The manager Luis is always so attentive and walks around and makes sure everyone is totally satisfied.

My friend and I came here for dinner. We were seated immediately! We shared the Tagliere di Affettati e Formaggi. It came with mortadella, prosciutto, salami. It was a nice little appetizer, definitely perfect for two!For our entrees I ordered the Tagliolini al Limone e Ricotta and my friend ordered the Pappardelle alla Bolognese! I was so pleasantly surprised by both dishes. The pasta was freshly made. The tagliolini had a wonderful creamy sauce, and my friend who is not normally a fan of thick sauces loved this! The bolognese was delicious as well. I love good Italian food and this is one of the better Italian restaurants I've come to in a while. It's a little on the pricer side however, between the ambiance, the amazing service, and the quality taste of the food, it more than makes up for it.

We dined at Trattoria Amici and tried the Gnocchi al Pesto, Costata di Manzo, and Frittura di Calamari. The Frittura di Calamari had good flavor, especially when paired with the accompanying sauce, but we wished it had a bit more crispiness. The Gnocchi al Pesto was the highlight of the meal--creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. A must-order! The 14oz ribeye was solid and cooked perfectly to medium rare, but it didn't particularly stand out as anything extraordinary.Service was excellent, with our server being both attentive and helpful with recommendations. Overall, we'd likely come back to try other dishes, but the gnocchi will definitely be on our order again. A nice spot for Italian fare with great service!

Amazing!! This is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in LA !! The quality, ambiance and service are all top level. We've been coming here for years and went back today for the first time since it was renovated. The place looks beautiful. Luis, the manager is absolutely the best !! A Glendale must try.

Came to eat here with a party of 7 and let me say the food was delicious and full of flavor and prepared very well. Everyone in our party agreed that the food was solid and hit the spot! The chicken parmigiana or parmigiana de pollo was cooked perfectly and had a good texture and just tasted really good. The spaghetti was some of the best I've had with that white cheese sauce! It was really tasty and full of flavor and would definitely recommend both of my plates. The reason I'm not giving this place a 5 star review is because of their not so kind nature of their staff and the wait we had to have just because of a seating policy that doesn't make any sense on a Monday night when the place had plenty of seating available and I mean at least 12 to 13 tables open outside not to include inside seats available. We called for a reservation and they said they didn't take reservations. We decided to take our chances nonetheless because it was a Monday we knew it might not be busy. When 4 of our team got there and were waiting outside it was pretty chilly, the hostess was a bit rude and said no you can't come sit until the complete party was there despite letting them know they were only 5-10 mins away parking. Finally the manager came up to us and said, ok I'm going to sit you all and preparing the table. What changed in 5 mins? Don't know but this leaves a bad taste in my mouth no pun intended with the level of service from a nice restaurant that wasn't busy and had plenty of seating. I could understand a Friday or Saturday or busy holiday where seating is limited and valuable to the establishment. But on a slow Monday in January the restaurant should consider being flexible with their policies and ask their team to be more self aware of the situation. As for the ambiance, it's upscale and just a great place for dinner especially when sitting outside and enjoying the people watching and the outside decor. I will consider visiting again, and hope we don't have the same experience.

4 stars for good food and great service, minus the unexplained pasta split charge. When my bf and I walked in on a Saturday at 5:30 pm, the host didn't hear my greeting. I was nervous after being met with a thousand-yard stare, but she broke out of it and promptly found a table for us outside. The vibes were nice; we were surrounded by the bustle of the Americana. Our server and bussers were amazing - very proactive. The only misstep occurred when our server offered to split our shared entree without advising us of the $2.50 service charge. The split portions were pretty big, so what did the charge entail? Do you pay a little more to get a little more on both plates? Or are you only paying for the labor of plating twice? Since our mushrooms were distributed unevenly, I ended up doing more "work" scooping them back onto the other plate.DRINK & APPETIZER / SIDES ORDEREDWe received warm sourdough bread. It was fairly sour, perfectly chewy and spongy with a thick, crispy crust. - Jermann Red Angel on the Moonlight Pinot Noir ($62/bottle). The menu description was accurate. This light-bodied wine had a fruity scent. It tasted bright, with a slightly bitter aftertaste that didn't linger on the tongue. - Fiori di Zucca / Fried Squash Blossoms ($16.90 - 3 pcs). This was very good. The batter on the squash blossom was light, almost like tempura. The vegetal flavor of the blossom reminded me of eggplant. It was stuffed with ricotta and paired well with the zesty red pepper sauce. - Sauteed Broccolini ($10.95). The cooking liquid was a little too salty and soaked into the crown of the broccolini. Still, I appreciated that the dish wasn't too oily. The veg was cooked through and not mushy.PASTA ORDERED- Rigatoni Norcina ($23.95 + $2.50 extra charge for splitting the plate). I enjoyed the umami flavor of this dish, no doubt enhanced by the housemade fennel sausage and roasted mushroom. I appreciated both the light texture of the sausage and the variety of mushrooms, which may have included chanterelle or maitake but I'm not sure. The pasta was cooked al dente and had great texture. I also enjoyed the cheesy parmesan cream sauce. I'm still curious about the nature of the $2.50 service charge for splitting the pasta. Did we pay for labor, or did we also get an increased portion on two plates? Why were we asked if we wanted to split the pasta like they were doing us a favor?DESSERT ORDERED- Coppa Tiramisu ($11.95). This dessert cup seemed like a fusion of tiramisu and Coppa di Mascarpone. It consisted mostly of rich marscapone-zabaglione cream. There was a piece of genoise sponge soaked in espresso; it was a little too wet for my preference. Chocolate pearls provided crunch. Although the dessert was good, I personally would have preferred a more traditional tiramisu. Additional layers of sponge and cocoa powder would have provided relief from the cream.
