We enjoyed the food here that we finished all that we ordered. The hubby was craving for thick pork katsu and we found this place on yelp. Our kids enjoyed the chicken karaage, TOT roll (like spicy tuna roll), cold dipping soba noodles with mixed tempura, and pork tender katsu. In addition, we also ordered the fried oysters and Agedashi tofu. Service was quick and efficient. It was a busy Sunday night but we got our food pretty quickly.

I wanted so badly to be a fan of this spot since my friend orders from here all the time, but the raving reviews he gave were not done justice by the food.I ordered the beef sukiyaki which comes with so much rice and basically just thinly sliced beef and an egg yolk with this sweet marinade. The rice was too much and there wasn't enough beef for the ratio. The rice was overcooked and too soft and everything was just so dry in my throat. Unfortunate that I was not a huge fan and thankfully it wasn't that expensive (under $20) but probably will not be returning.

Upon arriving, we were greeted and the staff directed us yo our table. We can during dinner services around 7pm. Luckily it wasn't as busy and without a long wait. The service was great! Friendly staffs. The food was well cooked and crunchy. Would definitely come back to try the rest of the other dishes they have. I hot the combi and it was well put together and it was simple yet delicious. The ambiance was simple and clean. Nothing special.

I came here for lunch on a Thursday and it was relatively empty. The server was attentive and came by our table quickly to grab drink orders. I ordered the pork cutlet curry and it comes in a rather deep bowl and also comes with a side salad and miso soup. It comes with a lot of curry. I really enjoyed the pork cutlet because it was juicy and the breading was really flakey. It had a really nice satisfying crunch when biting into it. The curry itself was nicely flavored but it did get rather salty after a while. I did not like the deep bowl since it made it hard to choose how much curry per rice bite. A plate would've been easier to maneuver. I would come back again to try the bento boxes !

My friend said they have good cold soba with tempura. When I saw the menu, I ordered their thin sliced layered pork tonkatsu type steak. Sorry, I forgot what it was called. The place has a good number of tables but I went when they opened so got one right away. The tonkatsu was great.

I have visited this restaurant in Little Tokyo a couple times now and am now finally leaving my review. One good thing is this restaurant will validate your parking if you park in the structure connected to the main plaza! They have a good amount of tables inside that are best for parties of 4 of smaller. This most recent time I visited I got the tenzaru soba but other times I got the tonkatsu (pork loin katsu). I would definitely recommend getting their tonkatsu instead of the other dishes like their bentos. The bentos were all mediocre from what my friends said. The soba I got was good but the tempura was below average for me, it was pretty soggy and had no crunch. The batter was also really thick so I wasn't the biggest fan. Their tonkatsu is really good though so that's why I am giving it 4 stars. Overall I would come here again but just get the tonkatsu. It's nice this restaurant isn't too crazy because its on the street side and not in the heart of the plaza.

Ran into this restaurant in Little Tokyo & decided to give it a try! I ordered the salmon bento box. While the salmon was fine, I thought the rest of the items in the box were mediocre. The tempura was a little soggy & didn't taste fresh, and there was an odd mix that I didn't expect in a Japanese bento box. There was seaweed salad & an egg roll. One of my friends ordered tonkatsu, which looked pretty good. I would probably skip the bento boxes and try their katsu dishes instead.

If you're here, then you need to be doing so for the Japanese style Pork Cutlets.I've never had these done better, juicy bites with the most crispy outside layering. Even comes with sides of Miso Soup, Salad, and Rice for a full meal.

This restaurant is well lighted, no loud noise, cozy and relaxed place to eat. There are plenty of Japanese wall decor displays on wall. We came here on a Monday evening, plenty of booth style table. Waitress is friendly and order came quick. The ramen and teriyaki is on the salty side. Bento is best to order it comes with vegetable tempura, spring roll, seaweed salad. Donburi salmon is a little dry but contains generous amount of rice. Takoyaki octopus filling is a bit tough. Pricing is a bit high too.

Overall: 3.7/5 (dine in)This place had no wait on a Saturday night so we just decided to try it. The food was decent but not good enough to compete with the other Japanese restaurants in Little Tokyo.Sayuri Sake ($16): This was the only sweet sake listed so we got that one. It was pretty good and easy to drink. It's not as sweet as the flavored soju but it's sweet enough that you don't really taste the alcohol. Dragon Roll ($17), Alaska Roll ($15), Salmon Roll ($8.50): Their sushi was meh and pretty bland. Would not get sushi here again. Shrimp Shumai ($8): This was actually really good and my favorite item of the whole meal. Premium Black Pork Loin ($19): This was my second favorite item. The pork loin pieces were thick and good, not too dry. However, I think the portion size is aa bit small for the price.Tenzaru ($15): The cold soba noodle was okay. The mix tempura was good.
