My FAVORITE place!!!!Love the flat whites and fresh, unique pastries in the morning. Great drinks/wine in the evening, to complement a fantastic menu.

Tomat offers an exciting dining experience, but I'd recommend going with a party of four or more. While the price per dish is on the higher side, the portions are generous--almost too much so for a party of two.For example, the $88 duck with pomegranate mole was outstanding, but sharing it between just two people became overwhelming. The same goes for the Barbari bread appetizer with roasted tomato butter--delicious, but excessive for two, while perfect for four.If you're dining as a group, you'll be able to sample more of the menu without feeling like any single dish dominates the meal. Otherwise, be prepared for a one-note experience.

I wrote y'all a poem about dinner last night : "A Symphony of Flavors"Food, oh glorious food, you bring me cheer,A symphony of flavors, that banish every fear.At TOMAT, where culinary art meets delight,I savored each bite, in pure gastronomic light. The mushroom tart, a masterpiece, so fine and so sweet,With cheese sauce that danced on my palate, a treat to repeat. The smoked carrots, a revelation, that blew my mind,Brought a tear to my eye, with their tender, smoky design. The trout, perfectly cooked, with dill roumalaude's zest,A delight for my senses, that put my heart at rest. And then, the apple dessert, a heavenly surprise,With clotted ice cream's richness, that opened my eyes.To the joy of culinary art, that touches heart and soul,A symphony of flavors, that makes my spirit whole.TOMAT, you've stolen my heart, with your culinary might,A truly unforgettable dining experience, pure delight!

Classy and creative. It's a good sized dining room downstairs with a thumping, energetic kitchen and waitstaff all in open view. It was a little loud but we managed. Check out the PAPER PLANE cocktail. Highly recommended. We sampled across the quasi-tight menu, sharing all amongst the 4 of us. Tomat's presentation seems to lean toward that. Tomat has the feel of something you'd find in The 90210 or maybe on Montana Ave. And it's priced accordingly. But the fact that it's right there in the little village of Westchester is slightly remarkable. I plan to return and give their rooftop bar a shot. Hmm - better; I plan to have a shot on their rooftop bar.

I had seen this place several times and have been wanted to try it so i finally made a reservation on a Friday night. We had reservations for 715. When we arrived it was not crowded and parking was easy. When we entered we were greeted with a welcoming and smiling face. We were seated immediately. I loved the open floor plan and clean yet earthy decor with a shuttle swag to it, probably the lighting. It's not too bright or too dim but just right to feel relaxed and enjoy a meal. Subtle music plays in the back ground as you dine. When our waiter came over he seemed a bit rushed. I had to stop him and engage for him to loosen up. Once he realized that we didn't bite and that we're just like him.....lol just a different shade, he seemed to loosen up and relax. We even later engaged in some great conversation. One negative for me would be the glass of wine was a little on the skimpy side. A little more would be nice. Our waiter was really nice and service was good. He recommended some items that we chose and really liked. He also helped us gauge how much to order so that we would have enough but not too much, which we appreciated. Overall great experience for our first time.

What a cool concept coffee cafe / dinner restaurant! Located in the back Staples plaza, it's a bit hidden. But once you step inside, you'll be greeted to a really cool, clean aesthetic vibe. Tomat feels really open and calm. I stopped by during the soft opening so they're still figuring out the exact menu and service style. From 8am-1pm, Tomat is a cool cafe with coffee and pastries. I got the iced latte with old milk and was pleasantly surprised that I could taste the espresso strongly! It's so different tasting bc it's not a strong roast but rather a light yet strong floral flavor. I'm usually not the most discerning when it comes to coffee flavors, but this one really pleasantly surprised me. I love how there's a free water station with both sparkling and still water options. At night, Tomat becomes a farm to table elevated casual restaurant. The whole restaurant smells strongly of the most aromatic noodle soup and when I asked the cashier what they were cooking, she said they were prepping and testing new recipes for the grand opening. I can't wait to come back and try it! Tomat would be a great place to work/study (outlets!) but they do close at 1pm so make sure you're wrapping up whatever you're doing before then. Overall, a fun addition to the Westchester area!

We found the food incredibly overpriced. The bread and tomato butter was great. Unfortunately they were out of a number of items when we went at 8pm including the bone marrow pie. Service was friendly but we just couldn't stomach the price for what was at most, decent food.

My husband and I live in Westchester and had been aware for awhile about Tomat's opening in downtown Westchester- there are a couple of restaurants in this area but nothing we really love, and we were excited about Tomat. I came here for dinner on a Thursday night with a reservation I'd made just the day before. Parking in the area is really easy, as there is a huge carpark in front of the restaurant. The ambiance in here is chic, but it doesn't feel like an LA restaurant- the vibe here reminds me of London restaurants. Service here was attentive and friendly. We came as a party of three, and shared a bunch of dishes. The food here is elevated farm to table cuisine with European influence, and everything feels delicious and slightly upscale considering it's a neighborhood restaurant. Honestly, it feels too nice to be in downtown Westchester, not that I'm not glad it's here. We really enjoyed the big prawns, the fish and chips, and a tartare special. The staff also threw in a free sticky toffee pudding for us, which we quite enjoyed. I'm glad to have this addition to the neighborhood, and will be back in the future.

Been to this place for breakfast and dinner; both times were amazing. If you want to eat scrumptious clean healthy food with a lot of flavor and art creativity, this place is not to miss. Shout out to the dynamic duo (Rebekah and Rohan) for all the hard work and care you put into our plates.

Amazing dining experience. Food was incredible. We sat at the bar and watched the open kitchen. The manager meley was wonderful explaining the whole concept of the restaurant. It's all about sustainability which we appreciate given the current political climate. We can't wait to to go back to try more dishes. It was absolutely wonderful.
