I came here on a Tuesday evening with a group of 4! We had no reservation (I don't think this place takes reservations) but since it was a Tuesday night, it wasn't busy so we got a table immediately.Firstly, this place has such a COOL VIBE! All the posters of musicians all over the walls, the artwork, the music, the mood lighting - sooo cool. Most importantly, the FOOD was just as incredible as the atmosphere they created. I think the pad thai might be the best pad thai dish I've found in LA since moving here 2.5 years ago - LOVED it and definitely my favorite dish of the evening! The pineapple fried rice was really nice and moist; I feel like I often find fried rice to taste so dry and this was definitely NOT the case here! The yellow curry was reallllly flavorful, I think if I were to order that again, I would also get a side of white rice with it to help soak up the buttery-ness of the curry. These 3 dishes were all able to be split between 4 people and there was even leftovers! So for 3 entrees and 4 drinks, the total was a bit over $80 which was really great considering the amount of food we got. There was also easy-to-find street parking.I would absolutely come here again!

You will love this place!! So many different moods encompassed in each table's theme. I loved the classic rock music!!I sat myself at the "Prince and the New Revolution Purple Rain" table.I was immediately ready to have the dumplings with delicious dipping sauce for appetizer and the Thai iced tea.I ate them all so fast!! They were delicious!!!! Six pieces of a heavenly dream! My entree was the chicken silver noodle soup!! I couldn't eat it fast enough!! Super yum!! While I enjoyed each great song and each and every bite I danced at the table!Loved the Thai iced tea so much I ordered two lol!

I really liked this place!! I was so pleasantly surprised with their unique menu offerings, food quality, and portions. The inside is really fun. It doesn't seem like a Thai restaurant but maybe an American bar or restaurant. Very dim and colorful lights with posters on the walls and tables. The whole bathroom is just graffiti. It's a unique experience.Pad Thai: 9/10I found the pad Thai delicious! There were so many noodles and lots of great flavor. This is more of a wet pad Thai, but I really enjoyed it. The steak wasn't the best and a bit chewy so next time I'd opt for the chicken. Penang dumplings: 11/10These dumplings are delicious!!! A unique menu feeling but should be served at other Thai restaurants. The curry was delicious. Perfect in so many ways. There is a lot of extra curry too to have for another dish. The dumplings are meaty and taste really good with the curry sauce.Drunken noodles: 9/10Lots of chewy rice noodles and great flavor with the noodles! I really enjoyed this too.Overall super happy with the experience and highly recommend! I'd come back for those dumplings for sure.

I had friends in town for the weekend from NYC, and they had been raving about this place for months. Last night, we finally got to try it out. Parking on Sunset wasn't a problem, even for our late dinner around 10 PM. They stay open until midnight.Upon walking in, I felt nothing but good vibes, like being teleported back to the 80s. I absolutely loved the setup with the big screen and living room vibe. The ambiance was great, and the customer service was excellent. Despite the late hour, our server was nice and attentive.I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken, and it did not disappoint. I wish I had taken a picture of our chicken and dumplings with the yummy creamy sauce--they were truly incredible. The portions were generous, and I had to get a to-go box.I will definitely be back at this place and highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

As a 4 year resident of the area, this has been my go to for late night dinners. It's always the top choice when the party is 4+ so we can do family style. Big plus to them being open late. Dropped by with some out of towners after not coming in for some time. There wasn't a wait, but the only table available for a party of 4 was the one that required you to sit on the floor. I had no issue with sitting on the floor. My friend asked if we could take over the table next to ours that freed up, but we were told no as it was a table for 5 and there was 4 of us. Guess what, that table for 5 ended up being free the whole time we were there. The food here is always decent. On this visit though, our server forgot to put in one of our orders which when I had asked for initially, he repeated to me. My whole table heard me place the order in. We were all still a little hungry, but decided to skip dessert or reorder what we didn't get because we were over the whole thing. I may switch to just ordering takeout if/when I decide to give them my monies.

I used to stan this place so hard, like for over 20 years they were my go-to Thai place in Hollywood. Tonight I ordered take out from them and got so insanely ripped off, I'll never go back.I ordered a papaya salad which arrived wilted and brown and was 70% just plain iceberg lettuce. Paid extra for shrimp that weren't included, nor did it have green beans or peanuts, it was just lettuce, brown papaya, tomatoes and some kind of overly sweet dressing.I also ordered Me Grob Rad Nah, which should have been pretty basic meat and veggies over crispy chow mein noodles and I don't even know how to explain what arrived. They gave me a container filled with fried white rice sticks, like the kind you'd find on top of a white person's Chinese chicken salad, and container of bland broth with chicken and broccoli in it. The rice sticks also smelled and tasted like paint or some kind of chemical you'd find in a garage. They were fried garage noodles. I don't know what happened to this place but this is the worst Thai food I've ever had, there is no way whenever made this has actually tasted real Thai food before.

Three amazing dinners for myself and two friends. I had the Pad Kea Prao with chicken and extra veggies and MY GOD was it good! My friends each got different plates that they raved about. I loved the dark ambience, oldies/classic rock music and friendly staff. I really wish this were my neighborhood Thai spot.

I would highly recommend this place! Super funky decor. And the staff are cool and nice. Great service! The green curry + brown rice is THE BEST! That rice is 1000 times yummier than the white rice. Is really flavorful and almost chewy. Def go to Toi if you're in the area!

A Hollywood institution, This Rock and roll themed restaurant is good anytime of day. They close midnight so excellent for late night bites. Great beer selection. My favorite is pad see ew and the mee grob (sweet sticky noodles with chicken and shrimp). Great place to be whether it's quiet or busy. Special shoutout to waitress Ali. Her attitude is wonderful and welcoming. I'd come anyway just for her excellent service! I will always be a customer of Toi.
