I've been to Tofu Bean on many occasions, and just got around to writing a review now. It's perfect for small groups or even parties up to 6-8. The service is extremely quick, and very nice! During winter time they give you the drink option of iced water or hot tea. All tofu soups are available at varying spice levels, Mild-Medium are my go-tos. The combos have generous portions to share. Definitely recommend the Bulgogi, and any of the bibimbap options. Definitely a go-to local spot in DB (:

Portion getting smaller and smaller. I understand no to go boxes for side dish. But when all the side dishes were consumed, and our entrees had many leftovers, you dont charge to go boxes for 50 cents each? Should had been wiser just ordered one dish and shared the whole family, then order again just as needed. Coz when we wanted to help businesses by ordering three entrees, the consequences were paying for the leftover to go boxes. This was not even an AYCE, and per entree cost about $29!

Hot soup on a cold day is the best combination. Decided to try out a new Tofu Soup place as I was craving the ribs. This place is pretty big and has a really long tables. I mean it's basically a straight row of tables and can seat a lot of people. They have a fish tank in the restaurant near the restrooms so it's a nice touch. It's nicely decorated with a theme for sure. The staff here are really friendly and nice. They check up on you often and refill the ban chan consistently and continuously. Service here is A+. The only thing about the ban chan is that the kimchi tastes like it's from a supermarket and really sour. Everything else was pretty good. The fish cake is my favorite!Ordered a bunch of dishes like the beef tofu soup, ginseng chicken soup, galbi, chap chae, bibimbap, and bulgogi. The bulgogi was really good and came out sizzling. Well seasoned and was delicious. The chap chae tasted a bit off and usually it's a little bit sweet but it wasn't sweet at all. It was just salty. The galbi was just way too sweet though. They need to move that sweetness over to the chap chae. Everything else was on par with other tofu soup places. Overall, I like this place. I would just stick to the bulgogi over the Galbi since the bulgogi was seasoned better. Service here is excellent. I recommend this place.

I guess I haven't been here in a while. My friends wanted to try Tofu Bean. As we turned the corner I noticed it took over Arirang. The same staff are still working there. They mentioned it changed owners in around 2019 which was maybe the last time I came. It's ok, not as delicious as my favorite place. The bulgogi were huge and hard to chew and the kalbi was fatty but the marinade was good. The side dishes were ok, but again not as good.

Cucumber, kimchi, bean sprouts, fish cake, and mashed potato banchan. Really liked the creaminess and sweetness of the potatoes!+ S21 Ginseng Chicken Soup ($20.99): whole chicken, stuffed with rice, date, and garlic, served in a homey soup with ginseng and green onions. Don't expect a flavor bomb, a very traditional, comfort food (7.4/10)Love that all their dishes are served piping hot, sizzling plates and bubbling soups!

This may be my new go to place for tofu soup and Galbi/bbq when I'm in the areaDriven passed here so many times and finally decided to try it for an early dinner one nights. This place did not disappoint. Place is casual, nothing fancy, but a friendly and welcoming atmosphereLoved the combos they offered and that the tofu soup is a regular size portion in these combos. We got the Galbi and beef tofu (spicy) combo and it was delicious. The Galbi is sweet, juicy and you can tell it had been marinated a while as it was full of flavor.Tofu soup was delicious as well. Good amount of spicy, fair portions of beef inside and full of flavor. One of the few places I finished all of it without having to take it home.We also tried the bulgogi which also had a lot of flavor. I'm not usually a bulgogi fan, but this was good.Side dishes were good, nothing that stands out but it's not a negative as all of them are perfect compliments to the main courses. Service was excellent, a few times, we didn't even have to ask for more sides as they waitresses brought more over for us. Next time I want to try their spicy pork or spicy chicken. I just wish they were in a plaza with better parking, as it can be difficult at busy hours but that's the norm in that area

A great find! Surprisingly empty but I guess it's the time and day we went on new years. The tofu soup hits the spot and ordering it with the combo pork cutlet was worth the buck. Service was fast and polite. Would absolutely come back here again. :)

Been here few times. This time, we come for the Samgye Tang, the chicken ginseng soup. Only few restaurant offer this menu outside Korea town. Tastes not bad. Could be better. Chicken on the tough side, not cooked long enough. We came late at night about 1 hr before closing and there are still people lining up. You can tell the kitchen is back up that day. The rest are okay menu, Tofu Soup, Cold Noodle are average. There are better one around the area. Plenty of choices. The dolsot bibimbap was off. Did not taste fresh and hot. As we mentioned Kitchen was really slow that night. Not sure why. This is not the day. The food was not at their best. Hopefully next time better as many regular customers to this place.

Visited on a Wednesday night & everything was great. Service was quick, they offered barley tea and a good selection of banchan with soups. Each were about $15 and filling, especially with the eggs. We'll definitely be back when in the area.

Finally had a chance to try Tofu Bean! Located in the same plaza as GW supermarket and there's a lot of parking available. When I first entered, I noticed how clean the restaurant looked. I ordered the following:- Bulgogi combination with clam tofu soup ($28.99 for dinner)I thought the portion was good, but the soup and bulgogi was a little too salty. The bulgogi smelled better than it tasted and a lot of the meat on the bottom was burnt. Most of the reviews I read were all highly positive for the taste so perhaps I came on an off day. The customer service was good though! Overall, I would give the food 3.5 stars.
