S. La Brea has become the home of so many diverse and wonderful food choices... every time I am lunching either at Sugarfish or here, I see new stores offering cool and unusual clothing choices, wonderful bakeries and desserts. Parking is challenging ( especially with the recent amount of construction going on) and the traffic delays add time to one's commute there. However, this restaurant is my favorite place for meetings and catch ups!Today, my friend Ann and I enjoyed delicious TURKEY BANH MI and a ROAST TURKEY SANDWICH with Turkey, cherry mostarda, camembert cheese, red romaine, and mayo. Both were on fantastic tasting and crusty bread. Everything is so fresh here. This restaurant has been open for quite a while. I only discovered it a few months ago.Because it was so cold out, we sat inside and we talked and laughed and ate for almost 2 1/2 hours... Waitstaff and everyone working there are pure delights!Highly recommended and FYI, they close at 4 PM.

Excellent food! Love the Turkey Bahn Mi there! Not on traditional French bread but it is on delicious homemade brain bread. Also huge I share or two meals. Beautiful courtyard to eat in. Their specials are always good too.Everything is fresh and healthy!Excellent homemade breakfast breads, muffins, desserts etcWonderful salads and homemade soups too!You will not be disappointed!

I always make it a point to grab lunch here when I'm in town. The food is delicious with lots of healthy options (falafel bowl is always great) & the baked goods are divine. Ahem -I say again, the baked goods are DIVINE! If they have agua fresca (regardless what flavor it is) do yourself a favor & try it, so refreshing especially on warmer days.Generally pretty busy but service is quick, the line to order moves fast & there's lots of seating.

Well my second review for this place. Today I had the brown sugar apple tart and was delightful. The right amount of sweetness and not overpowering. Inside was gooey apple deliciousness and on the outside very nice and brittle. With coffee you can't go wrong to satisfy your sweet tooth. Yelp-o-meter: 5 of 5

Very good sandwich spot! Cute outdoor area, amazingly executed sourdough bread grilled to perfection! Soup was very good too! Service was quick and professionalWill come back.

A lovely little cafe with limited indoor seating and a crowded patio. Long lines at the counter - scrounging a table first is key to this place. The food is good but not special. I had butternut squash soup with coconut milk which was good but too sweet and I didn't taste any coconut, I had to doctor with hot sauce to give it more complexity. I also had the ginger chicken salad which was good but for me a little one note, it could have used some onions fresh cilantro or mint some more acid a vinegar note perhaps it was a decent effort but I wouldn't rush back to this place for the food.

I used to dislike avocado toast, I am a changed woman! So light and tasty. And the ripeness of the tomatoes and radish... yeah, fuck it, I sound like I'm describing a really good wine. Sorry. The rosemary honey latte exceptional. This will pose a breakfast problem. We know how I feel about République.

I was recommended by this place by a few friends. After grabbing a meal I can see what the hype is about. My Pork Belly Hash hit the spot. Although the portions seemed small it was actually quite filling. I did wish I saw more pork belly since it was more potato or hash forward. The service is quick, and the restaurant has a nice outdoor patio. It has a cafe feel so it feels inviting.
