"Started from the bottom now we here!" Like literally! My night kicked off by making a stop into The Wayfarer's parlor speakeasy (Lilly Rose) on the basement level. I then made my way to The Rooftop. I'd been up before during the day to take in the morning view + some fun scenic pics #SelfiesCloseToTheSun - but getting to dine, eat, sip and experience The Rooftop cocktail bar and restaurant is something to remember.Specializing in cool craft cocktails the Mac Daddy Frose initially called out to me (blended rosé meets tito's vodka, lemon, lillet rose aperitif and liquid alchemist strawberry cocktail syrup), but their frozen machine blended was down. My server/bartender extraordinaire Brian made a suggestion or two that lead me to the Hotline Bling. Tiki Bar tiki style drinks are their showstoppers. Plus a great variety of craft beer, wine and spirits.I wasn't sure if I'd eat here, but was glad I did. My Thai Lemongrass + Mango salad was the best! They have tons of protein options, but a last non in the vegetarian or vegan variety. That said the menu has a solid options or more for dietary needs. It's mostly seafood + fusion inspired.I thought about moving to one of the many loungey areas they have set up, but unfortunately they had a need for the space around 10:15 pm - so everyone would have to leave by then which was a little bit of a bummer - especially as I got charged an access fee for The Rooftop during dinner for some odd reason as a guest for the weekend. An added service fee versus if I had just wanted to dine in for the night.Toward the last half hour I was here they got hit with an influx of guest, mostly ordering one last beverage so it took a while to get a check, but Brian came to the rescue as soon as he could. Truly a gem! Brian had me set with plenty of water and everything came out pretty easy, smooth and delicious. Being next to the fire pit enjoying the energy of DTLA and the Rooftop was truly close perfect. Great way to kick off my birthday season, would definitely bring bae, friends and/or family here for next time.Q Tips:Reservations are encouraged, though very walk-in friendly. Possible wait if a busy night.Parking at the hotel or neighboring garages as well as very close to 7th & Metro Station. The Rooftop offers Prefix Brunch and Lunch that includes salad, main dish and a dessert. Brunch also includes bubbly.Happy Hour happens here!

As always the views you get at a rooftop are amazing. The food is simple but good. I ordered the breakfast burrito it was flavorful and enjoyable. The drinks were made to perfection. I ordered a cucumber margarita and an espresso martini to which my server requested for me to do it with mezcal. Oh boy was he right. One of the best espresso drinks I've had. I've been here for drinks only during the day and it's always a good vibe. This time around I decided to have their brunch and it did not fail. I'll definitely comeback again for brunch.

Great service, yummy food, awesome options for a third or fifth course. It is a rooftop but not the best views nether the less it was still pretty terrific, the sun was shining down on lots of the seating options. We had a great server that accommodated our birthday party of 15 and they were amazing. We had garage parking right next door for $10.

A chill roof top bar in DTLA. We went on a Saturday evening with a reservation and were seated without any wait. The view is honestly not spectacular compared to other roof top bars but the ambiance is definitely more chill. Most of the foods and drinks were pretty good and the service was great :)Painkiller - a must try cocktail! Was so well-balanced and flavorful. Definitely recommended :)Mango unchained - this drink was pretty decent but wish it was less wateryAhi tartare - a good appetizer. Unique and authentic compared to typical ahi tartare at other restaurantsChicken & waffles - not very impressive. Just a mediocre chicken & waffle

This place is actually pretty good. View is nice and food menu is small but with fairly good selections. Prices are reasonable, especially for being downtown LA. Service was good. Took awhile from time to time for the server to come our way but unsure what staffing is like. She was prompt with our requests and helpful so no realComplaints. Food tasted good and the cookies are amazing!!! Now the guac.... It's more like avocado spread that you get at Costco. Same with the salsa. Neither tasted bad, just a heads up on its texture.

We stopped by for a few drinks on Christmas Eve night out. This is a boutique hotel rooftop bar so it's a bit cold and windy even with heaters on. It's stylish and cute with a little pond in the back. I felt bad for that sad looking rubber duck in cold water though. We are not fans of tiki cocktails so we ordered something else. I had a special cocktail of the night which was a whiskey espresso drink. Hubby had a glass of Macallan 12. The food menu was just snack food and we'd just had dinner so we didn't order any. The servers were very pleasant and attentive the entire time. I think they have brunch on weekends that I would like to check it out. Overall it was a relaxing time at this rooftop lounge and we enjoyed it very much!

The view was nice! Nice ambiance. Food was mediocre. Came here during restaurant week and tried their three course meal. we were seated right away as a restaurant was not very busy even on a weekend the view was very nice. Food was mediocre. I would say generally pretty average middle of the road especially for how much they charge. It was a little overpriced, but what you get. they also ran out of certain desserts, so we couldn't get the one we want.I would say a lot of the dishes were overcooked, and not cooked right.I would come back just to get drinks, but probably not order food.

Had a FANTASTIC brunch experience here about 6 months ago at this location and wanted to return today with an out of town guest for the same. Unfortunately, much has changed- apparently there is a new head chef who has overhauled the menu completely. There was once a weekend brunch menu with a variety of brunch selections and a prix fixe option which included a variety of courses to enjoy. This has been eliminated. In its place are three breakfast options: Steak & Eggs, Crab Cake Benedict, or Chicken & Waffles, among lunch/dinner options. To start, we ordered the Beignets, which are croissant beignets. Very flaky and delicious. 5 beignets are served with a dollop of whipped cream and a berry syrup for dipping. I also ordered a cup of coffee- for a basic cup of coffee, it was great tasting. For our entrees, I ordered the Flatiron Steak and Huevos, while my friend ordered the Pasta a la Diabla. The Steak dish arrived lukewarm, and while decent tasting was not much to rave about (ESPECIALLY at $38!). My friend added grilled shrimp (3) to her pasta dish. The charge was $16 additional for the 3 shrimps, which did little to elevate the dish. Another decent dish, but not worth the cost.Total cost for 2 entrees, beignets, and 2 cocktails (a mimosa and a "Mango Unchained" - yikes at the name, but nevermind that...) was roughly $140.00. Very overpriced for the value and quality of the meal, in my opinion. What's most disappointing to me is that the website still reflects the old menu list, including a Weekend Brunch menu. Had I seen the new menu online, I wouldn't have chosen to come here. Please update the website- parking in DTLA is far too expensive to not get what you're expecting.Bartender was our server and was pleasant. Service was the plus, next to the beignets.3/5 stars--Will not return.

The Wayfarer's rooftop in downtown Los Angeles provided me with a mixed experience. The service was commendable, with an attentive and friendly staff. However, I couldn't help but notice that the overall decor felt somewhat dated and dirty, which impacted the overall atmosphere. The best part of the experience was the cocktail -- they had quite an extensive drink menu, and I went with the LA Girl cocktail. It was just as pretty as it was delicious. As for the food, it was just okay. While the dishes were decent, they didn't quite meet my expectations. I had the elote off the cob, which was flavorful, but a bit pricey for what it was. I also had the ceviche, which I had never had before. It had good flavor but just wasn't great. The rooftop does have potential, but it might benefit from a refresh in both its decor and menu.
