Came here for the Sabrina Carpenter pop-up (now til February 23rd!!) as a Galentine date idea for me and a best friend. Coming up the street, we saw it was located in a local bar next to a liquor store.P.S Beware of the individuals walking around Hollywood in particular-- never stay still in one spot for too long! As we were two girls, we were definitely hyper aware from the moment we walked out our car (which after struggling to find parking, we luckily found a spot two blocks away. There are also $10-20 paid parking lots as well.) and treaded up the streets to the bar. Thankfully, as we checked in and got our tickets scanned by the guard outside, we were able to walk in and quickly decompress. We walk in hearing people belting out pop hits on the karaoke and was greeted by lots of pink decor. For a weekday night, the amount of people was perfect and we had space to enjoy different spots to seat at. Karaoke was able to be joined straight through your phone (you scan a QR code at the TV). We got to sing a couple songs!Photo ops were a good amount and the whole experience was so chill and fun!!I enjoyed the Rum and Milde drink as it was offered by the bartender to be the sweetest. Definitely MIX it first because sipping it from the top was straight alcohol haha.Anyways, I hope to come back here again for a nice night out! Thank you Oak Hollywood for the unique pop up themes as well!

This review is solely for the Frankenstein pop up inside of Oaks Hollywood. I came last night for the pop up(10/24/24) as I am a spooky girl and love all things Halloween. I did pre-purchase tickets with LA bucketlist for $22 each. They had fees through the website which was annoying but I will digress. Check in was easy and the door man was pretty solid but didn't explain anything. He just gave us our drink token which is included with the ticket.Upon entering it does give spooky vibes but the space isn't the largest. Ticketing does not include seating or a server so you have to battle it out on your own at the bar and find your own seating. We went to the bar and they had a fun cocktail list. I thought the drink ticket would include any of the cocktails but you only get the "welcome cocktail" which is in a beaker with dry ice smoke. Its cool but would have been fun to have options. Otherwise, the rest of the cocktails are $16 which is cheaper than a ticket price which is appreciated. I ordered the Frankenstein bride and it was delicious. We had a hard time finding seating at first but we went to the patio in the back and were lucky enough to snag a seat. I can't imagine how it would be like on a weekend as we came on a Thursday night. They did have spooky karaoke at 10pm which was fun. They also don't enforce time seating which states on the ticket 90 minute experience. Overall, I thought the experience at EP&LP was a lot more organized last year and had more drink offerings with the ticket purchase along with seating.Tip: Free parking is pretty non-existent as the street is already filled with tenant parking but you may get lucky. We had to pay for parking-- the LAZ lot which is closes was $20 but there is another which is a street over for $15.

The place was beautiful but felt like it was missing something. A little bit of an eerie feeling inside but the best part of the place was the patio, although there was, what seemed to be, a bunch of trash in the corner. We got there at about 9 and left at 12, there had been only two other people in the place the entire night. It was very empty and the bartender said it is usually like that all the time. I do not necessarily want to pay $16 for a cocktail in an empty dive bar. Now for the real bummer... I did not only see one, but two cockroaches AT the bar. The first one ran across the bar top and the bartender tried to cover it up and act like nothing happened. I don't blame the bartender, but it's still disgusting. My partner is afraid of bugs so once we saw a second one coming at us, we could not get out of there quick enough!

What a great queer friendly space!! It's so clean, amazing music, the entertainment is always awesome. They have different events on different nights so check out the sites so see what's happening next but I've attending many times and it's always been fun. My absolute favorite is the drag show!! I've never had a yelp and never planned to, but being new to the LA area, I decided to dive in. I moved to LA about 2 months ago. Thursday last week, my friend invited me out to hollywood for the first time. We found our way to The North End for a night cap by chance. What a happy accident it turned out to be. The decor was a beautiful for a local bar. The bartender (whose name I don't remember) was friendly and made us feel immediately welcome even though neither of us had ever been.I will most definitely be coming here again.
