I would give this place a 4.5. I'll round up with one caveat. Setting expectations (I'll get to that) I take ratings this high in burbank /Glendale with a grain of salt until I go myself. As a lot of people pas the ratings to help friends. This place did not disappoint in the food though. You walk in and there is a good energy. We ordered the loaded burger fries, a traditional burger, a pocket burger, and some chili fries. The food was delicious. Pocket burger was my favorite, but it was all so good. Now, my caveat is this. There was one family eating when I arrived, and one person who picked up a small door dash order. When I ordered he said give us 5-6min. 17 min later my food was ready. So 1. Don't over promise something you can't deliver. 2. I worry how this place will be able to meet an efficiency when they get busy. But ... the food and service were worth more visits. Lastly, in general parking sucks in this area. My advise is to park at Vons on pass and take a 3 min walk, or park further east down on Riverside. They do have decent amount of seats for as small as the space is.

We just found out about Mouth a couple weeks ago, and have already ordered Door Dash, and went into the restaurant within the last 7 days. Twice in a week, yea, it's that good! The owners work the mom & pop are very service oriented and the burgers are the best I have had in LA. The chip fries are very tasty too. My wife likes the croissant burger and our whole family of 5 love the real milkshakes. The prices are more than reasonable. Much better than almost anywhere.I urge you burger lovers out there to try The Mouth out. You won't regret it.Sincerely,Louis Simone (just had early dinner at The Mouth today after going to the ZOO)

Amazing customer service, amazing people here at The Mouth. Super cleanTried the pocket style double - Dutch bun gives it a different taste to the burger, patties not overally cooked, juicy, flavorful, the secret sauce is good, but you gotta get the spicy and chili sauce to dip in it's a must. This is my new go to spot for smash burgers hands down.

Wow, a smash burger that's not greasy and tastes delicious. Not too much spice but enough, cool french fries, crinkle shaped, fresh cut and perfectly cooked. I had a single burger without cheese and my son had a triple with everything and we were very happy. And full. Very nice staff. It's a small place with a counter bar and a couple of tables. I'm definitely going back.

So there I was wanting to find a new place the family hadn't been to and up pops "The Mouth" intersted in the name I clicked and that was murder she wrote LOL... Seriously the pocket burger sparked my biggest interest, what was a pocket burger, what would it taste like, would I like it? I will say that all those questions were answered on our visit and much more!!!Before I get to the food I will say that the Husband and Wife Duo were amazing!!! The greet you with smiles and engage you right away answering the many questions I had on there menu!!! Probably the coolest owners of an establishment I have met to date!!! Now to the food... We ordered the following Double Smash Burger combo with a Chocolate Milkshake, Pocket Double Cheese Burger with fries, Crossiant Chicken Sandwich and a Single Smash Burger we did get to try thier Chili Cheese and WOW!!!! Lots of food, lots of flavors, lots of walking after LOL!!! The Food was outstanding the Pocket Burgers was so different almost refreshing a burger that is all self contained and doesn't make a mess...The Smash Burger exploding with flavor and the Crossiant Chicken Sandwich well it was so good that I had to add it to my Top 5 list of Best Chicken Sandwiches!!! The fries reminded me of pickle chips heck with thier secret sauce they should add it to the menu :)Don't waste time if you like to try new places and love great food you definitely should check them out!!!!

I believe this place is fairly new. I kept seeing it every time I would drive by on the way to work. I finally stopped by and it's delicious. I had the double smashed burger with extra onions and their fries are really good too. I like that they have potato wedge style fries, kind of like Shakey's pizza. The staff was really friendly. Highly recommend and will be coming back.

Does Burbank/Toluca Lake need another smash burger spot? Yes. Yes, it does. The Mouth is the second burger spot to open up on this block in the past couple of months and one of a few to open around town this year, so what makes them different than the rest? Honestly, not much. The burger is a burger...the same pillowy potato bun, the same grilled onions, the classic, melted American cheese, and a smashed beef patty with that all too familiar orange sauce. Unlike other places, their patty isn't smashed so thin that there's no tenderness to chew through...but it isn't also caramelized to get those crispy bits. It's more like the burger was steamed through and when placed on the bun with the rest of the components, it becomes a moist mess...but a delicious moist mess. Where other places rely on that char or the special seasonings they add to the burger, you really only taste the meat itself. It tastes like beef, not seasoning salt or mostly onion. If I did have one gripe though, it's the sauce they use...it's a bit too sweet for my tastes. Is it good? Does it add to the delicious, moist mess? Absolutely, but it does kind of overpower the other components. Probably just a personal preference, but I would ask for it on the side. This sauce would be great on an overly salty patty or maybe if you added jalapeños or chopped chiles to the mix. I think overall, a spicy element to their burger would really enhance the experience. While the burger may be the same, the differences this restaurant has over the other smash burger places are major. The menu is pretty simple...burgers, fries, and drinks. The only other protein they have on the board is a chicken sandwich. It's a whole chicken breast on a choice of bread, with a purple cabbage slaw, spicy and house sauce, and melted pepperjack cheese. It's not as spicy as it sounds, it's just right to go along with a wonderfully cooked, moist chicken breast. It's a whole chicken breast and it takes a lot longer to cook than the burgers or fries, so you might have to wait a while, but it's worth it. It's also not cut or smashed down so it's a huge hunk of meat on a bun. It's an obscene, big bite, but so good.We got the chicken sandwich on the potato bun, but they also offer other bread options: croissants and a dutch crunch roll. What's special about the latter is that smashed and formed into a sealed hot pocket or pita. We didn't try it this time, but we will next time. I think that chicken sandwich would be special in the pocket form. A burger on a croissant might be too buttery and rich, but I'd try it.They also offer fries here where most places forego the messy and hard to maintain deep fryers. They're cut into thick chip shapes versus the traditional cut. It makes for a crispier outside and a soft inside, but personally I prefer batonnet, stick style cut. You can add chili cheese to anything for 2 bucks. On a cold autumn evening, we got it on the fries, and it was so warm and comforting. The chili is excellent...if you've ever been to Cupids, it's very similar. They add in the cheese so it's very thick and saucy. The chili coats the fries and doesn't drip off very easily. The other major difference here is, they offer milkshakes made with real ice cream. They make them at the counter and blend each one to order. We got the strawberry and it was great...not sure where they source their ice cream from, but it had real bits of strawberry in it. It tasted fresh, not made from a mix or pre bottled slurry. The biggest and best difference between all the other smash burger places in town are the people behind the counter. I can't tell if this is a new place or a pop up that moved to a brick and mortar, but it's family owned and operated. On the night we went, there were two very kind women working and they were sisters or sister in laws. They were very nice, affable, and treated us like we were guests in their home.Between the good food and good vibes, I hope The Mouth finds the success it's looking to cultivate. I've seen a few places come and go on this very visible corner of Riverside Drive so I hope they stick around cause it's a very wonderful addition to the neighborhood.

Even though this part of Toluca has multiple options for burgers, we wanted to try someplace new, and boy are we glad we did! The old standby SoCal burger places better watch out, The Mouth is coming for them!Classic style burger stand with indoor counter and a couple of tables, and a few 2 tops outside on the sidewalk, the people are friendly, the service is fast, and the menu is divine! They have a pocket style burger that is all sealed up and looks like a UFO, and this is fitting because the food here is out of this world! In all my years of eating burgers, today at The Mouth was the first time I was ever tempted to order a second one. It was THAT good! The menu is simple, they have smash burgers served on a bun, croissant, or sealed in a "pocket", chicken sandwiches, shakes, and fries. But every single thing is done to perfection! The fries are cut cross-wise instead of long (think thick chips) and fried up perfectly crispy but still a bit fluffy. They have ketchup, burger sauce, and an incredible queso (chili-cheese) sauce. But this burger, just the simple smash burger, was soooo good. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and topped with burger sauce, grilled onions, and pickles, served on a lightly grilled bun. Heaven. After the first bite I was already dreading the moment I would finish it and not have another bite to look forward to.I see many trips out to Burbank in my future to eat here again, this is the best burger joint in all of Los Angeles, hands down!

Tried this place for lunch with about 4 of my coworkers, the service was great, our food came out quickly and correct. The cashier was really nice, told us a little bit about their specialities and what she recommends. The restaurant itself was nice, clean, with a really cool painting on one side of the walls. Overall, the price was affordable for what it was, definitely recommend this place and will be coming back!

Been coming back here @ least 3 times a week since I live and work in the area. I enjoy the croissant burger and loaded fries Ben's way. I also like the smash burger with the chicken fries. If you're looking for a fresh burger that won't put you down for the after meal nap you gotta try this spot out. Armen and his wife are always welcoming.
