I loved that my friends and I stumbled upon this place. It was a happy accident indeed. In these neck of the woods there are so many breakfast and brunch spots that it can be overwhelming to pick one. Naturally we initially picked a well known breakfast spot down the street from here and with a 30 minute wait we agreed to find a non-trendy brunch spot to see our luck. I called ahead here and was told there was no wait. We rushed over and were pleasantly surprised to find this cute little understated breakfast restaurant tucked away in the corner of a strip mall. Knowing there was not wait and they had a cute and cozy covered front patio we opted to give them a try.We were so happy we did because this breakfast cafe was super stellar! You come here for delicious food and friendly service. Don't get caught up in the hype of wanting a trendy place with amazing decor or ambiance because that doesn't fit this spot. Inside is old and outdated in appearance but it gave cozy old school vibes. Seeing as the inside was a tad bit drab we opted to sit outside. Their covered patio is super cute and they did a great job with the trees and dividers that it gave a lot of privacy to eat outside that we honestly forgot where we were. The staff here are very nice and personable. Service was wonderful. One gentlemen sat us right away and worked on getting us menus and drinks. Then soon after we were greeted by another nice man who took our orders and made us feel right at home. The waiter we had today was phenomenal. We asked a lot of him upfront when placing our order with specifics and tweaks, many sauces requests and asking to pay all three tabs separate. This man didn't bat an eye and was so hospitable and totally on top of things. I love that at this down home understated restaurant we had some of the best service we've seen on this side of town and that the food hit the mark. For my lunch I had the classic Ruben sandwich with fries. What a simple yet delicious dish. The ratios were spot on and that's everything with a good sandwich. The bread was perfectly griddled and the thousand island dressing tasted home made. The French fries were those delicious skinny ones and made for the perfect pairing. My friends opted for breakfast and loved their meals as well. Definitely don't sleep on this spot as it's truly a nice little gem in the city. For a soda and sandwich/fries my tab came to $20. Not bad to me given we were able to dine in and had wonderful service. Love supporting mom and pop restaurants and I hope you'll give them a chance when you're craving seeming classic and comforting.

This was a good spot.It feels like a little restaurant in the south. Home-y feel style wise. Staff was nice, food was good. Nothing wowed us but definitely good for the basics, and prices were good.We will back.

Great service, always coming by with a refill of coffee, check ins to see if everything is still tasty, makes you feel wanted. I love their Power Special, full of a good ratio of protein, fats, and carbs (my zucchini bread). Their homemade breads is the thing to try over toast for sure if you are up for it!Atmosphere is just like any coffee shop with those booths. Also it's not so noisy. Wish there was more light, but I just sat by the window.

The guy I married was getting his car serviced in the area, and when he found out it would be 5 hours, he asked if I wanted to meet him here for breakfast. I wouldn't turn down free breakfast, diners or attractive men! I don't know how long Magnolia Grille has been open, but with the menu, decor, music, pie slice display, etc. I would be surprised if I couldn't have walked in in the 90s to see that it was exactly the same. It doesn't feel like you're in a strip mall or even in LA, but very cozy and homey. Booths, Tiffany lamps, kitschy knicknacks, even the overhead lights are painted to be prettier and look like natural skylights. There's a small front patio that they made as cute as possible for a parking lot, with shade and potted trees. I'm here for all of it! The menu was a good variety of traditional diner items and some specialty items (I'm coming for your next time, corned beef breakfast burrito!) that I hadn't seen before. I ordered the salmon omelette, and husband ordered the breakfast burrito. My omelette came with a side and toast, and was generous with big salmon chunks, Jack cheese, spinach and tomatoes. I chose fruit for the side and was happy to see large, fresh slices of fruit (most restaurants serve bowls of colorless cantaloupe and honeydew). We both really enjoyed our food, and the coffee refills kept flowing. They also offer wine, beer, and mimosas; maybe another time!Really solid old school diner and I'm sure it will be in our regular rotation!

Very homey. Good food like your mom would make. Cheerful service and big fresh portions. Nice dessert rack. I didn't try any of them, but the pecan pie looked delicious. Next time.

. I walked in there and it took them about 5 mins to come to me AFTER I rang the bell because no one at all greeted me. The very nice host in the front let me know that they were very busy, however, I watch the waiter walk over and greet non-people of color when it's really not that hard to just say good morning. I have no problem waiting, but not being acknowledged is really hurtful. The food here is very good for a diner and I'm glad that they have been able to stay in business for so long when I come here usually I don't know how to feel because sometimes I get a good interaction and sometimes I feel like they just don't want to deal with me, even though I always come in and do take out.

It's nice that there are still some old school diners in the area that actually serve quality dishes. I split an eggs benedict and tuna melt with my mom and my sister ordered pea soup and cesar salad. All were excellent. The staff here was also very attentive and friendly. Parking was also easy, which is a rarity these days.

I absolutely love Magnolia Grille. It's so nice to have old fashioned coffee shops that serve up good traditional American dishes like meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Everything here is fantastic: the breakfasts, the burgers, the sandwiches, the dinner plates, the salads, and the desserts. My favorite dishes to recommend:- Corned beef hash burrito - Turkey melt- Chicken tortilla soup - Zucchini bread and date nut bread - Meatloaf dinner - All the chicken salads The patio is covered, roomy, and dog friendly.Prices are fair and service is great.Fun celebrities' photos line the walls. It's a must-go!
