This place was awesome! You do need a reservation, but we booked one on the day-of and we were able to get in. It's located upstairs from Tail o the Pup. We were able to get street parking right outside, but there wasn't a designated parking area so be aware of that. As for the inside, it had great decoration and ambience. The restrooms were very clean.I personally ordered the Painkiller and the To Be or Nut to Be. Both of these drinks were very tasty and did not disappoint! My friends ordered the Jim Morrison drink and the Elvis drink and those were both good as well! I would definitely come back here for the delicious drinks, great vibe and friendly service.

Operates as kind of a speakeasy connected to Tail O' The Pup. As of late 2024, you have to make reservations and once you enter the door, you walk upstairs to this hidden tiki oasis with a jovial vibe. The decor is on point and service was great. Oh and most importantly the drinks were fun, tasty, and pretty stiff! Came here on a weeknight which I think it's easier to make a reservation for. The place was still packed. It was my first time visiting, so I wanted to order my usual when I go to Tiki bars - the Painkiller. Delicious as expected. Just a really fun tiki bar and I'm pretty sure it would be a huge hit among my tiki bar enthusiast friends.

Wow!!! How much fun is this?!? Speakeasy Tiki Bar (my two favorite genres!!) tucked away in West Hollywood near Santa Monica and La Cienega.Nero fiddled while Rome burned, and I drank Tiki drinks while LA burned. (Too soon?)I was by myself. Carla, at the front desk, managed to wrangle a seat at the bar for me on a Saturday night around 8:30pm. This place is normally "reservations only." Go online and snag one for the best experience. Street parking is a 2-hr limit with parking meters. The food menu is all handled by Tail o The Pup, downstairs. Yet you have to be in the bar to get the good items. Excellent symbiotic relationship. They have a code you scan to bring up the ordering website. For a drink I felt like something flaming. Bryan poured an amazing "Ghost of Jim Morrison." Apparently he recorded "LA Woman" here when it was a recording studio eons ago. Delicious!!Food wise, I ordered the Jumbo Corndog (because... Tail o The Pup!), and the Coconut Shrimp. Both were amazing! Ever had the corndog from the Red Wagon at Disneyland? This outdid it. Had to scarf down all the crunchy bits that fell off.The shrimp were flawless. Perfectly crispy. Great sweet and sour sauce accompanied them.Food normally cuts off at 10pm. Tonight it was 9pm. Frank and Bryan, behind the bar, had great information about their various concoctions. And several will yield cheers or a special presentation when they're delivered to you (ala Trader Sam's, Ventiki, etc).Cozy, warm, comfortable... what more do you need?Absolutely can't wait to return!

This speakeasy-style bar is a dream come true for rum enthusiasts. tucked away directly above Tail o' the Pup with the secret entrance. Pay close attention to the pickle barrel. The ambiance inside is both mysterious and inviting, with dim lighting, vintage decor, and an intimate vibe that instantly sets the mood for a great night out. Full bar with limited food menu until 10pm.

I really enjoyed this little hole in the wall. The Elvis in Hawaii! Peanut butter whiskey, banana cream, and creme brûlées bananas on a skewer. What a delight! Our waiter was upbeat and accommodating. It made me want to plan a trip somewhere tropical soon...

The Lucky Tiki is one of the best bars I've been to in quite a while. After unsuccessfully trying to come here without reservations several times, we decided to actually plan ahead and reserve a table this time. For a Friday evening at 6:30pm, I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to secure a table online for the same day (via Resy). I think we may have lucked out due to the holidays. What makes this bar special? The decor, ambiance, service, and drinks are all top notch. I was especially impressed by the cocktails. I ordered the "Like It Hot," which ranks up there with some of the best I've ever had. I loved the passionfruit pearls, and overall thought the drink was perfectly balanced. Priced at $20, I also felt as though the quality to price ratio was great. I would highly recommend this drink to all.To cap off our experience at The Lucky Tiki, I ordered a couple Maui Hazy IPAs. We also ordered a Create Your Own Tiki Plate with Teriyaki Chicken, Coconut Shrimp, and Chow Mein. I thought the food was delicious, and paired well with our drinks and the atmosphere. Service was friendly and quick. Having been to nearly all of the tiki bars in and around Los Angeles, I can confidently say that this is one of (if not) the very best.

For a unique celebration of our anniversary, Jim G. and I decided to go to the Lucky Tiki, as I was wise enough to check a few weeks prior for reservations. We were lucky enough to find street parking and Lucky Tiki makes that easy since you get an hour and a half for your reservation. After buzzing in through the Pickle Jar at Tail of the Pup downstairs, we ascended into the tiki paradise! The ambience is outstanding! Grabbed a couple spots at the bar where Frank, Christian, and Miguel took care of us throughout the night, though we mostly interacted with Frank. At first we thought we would have preferred a table, but I'm so glad we were at the bar. We interacted with all 3 gentlemen, learned more about the drinks, and enjoyed a variety of performances from Frank! All the drinks were delicious and creative! We enjoyed some snacks from Tail of the Pup, which you can order easily with a QR code and they are delivered right to you! Coming from the Valley, it's a bit of a drive, but I will definitely come back to this fun spot for the drinks, ambience, and the service! Grab a ressie when you can!

What an AMAZING spot. Make sure you get a reservation, I believe they're a res only kinda place. Also tricky to get in but I'll leave that for you to find out. The drinks are phenomenal. Some of the drinks even came with table side fire show. The vibes are cozy and perfect for a date night. I will definitely recommend going here with friends or a date. They also have food, I didn't order but looked good!

Frank and team made for a fun night! Try to get spot at the bar for the full experience, you will get some singing from Frank and if you are lucky an Elvis sighting. All the cocktails were tasty. My favs were the Jim Morrison and the treasure box filled with an old fashioned. Amazing presentation and the quality shined through in the cocktails too. Some said it was expense but at $20 it actually was pretty reasonable. $20 is common now, without some of the fun you get with your drink at a Lucky Tiki. Street parking for 2 hours is $4. Works well since they will start to move you along after about an hour and a half.

Rounded up to a 4 star experienceThe ambience and drinks at the Lucky Tiki were excellent. Really loved the commitment to theme, and they had a wide range of drink options from gimmicky to straight-forward. If rum isn't your thing, they also have other solid liquor options. I went with the Ghost of Jim Morrison and the Lucky Goblet (? Think that was the drink name). Preferred the former because it comes with a little jangle and the rosemary lit on fire. Loved that it was sour too, as I'm not a big fan of sweeter drinks. I was told the goblet was the most popular and, though good, it was super boozy. Not my typical drink but tasted good and was still fun to try. The speakeasy entrance is fun and the amount of decorations was pretty impressive. I felt like every glance something new stood out!The service was uneven. My partner got splashed with a drink at the start, and I had a water spilled on me at the end. We were told we could purchase a mug, only to be told we couldn't as we were closing out. The bell was rang for Captain's Inner Circle orders for other groups, but not for our group. Bathrooms are confusing. None of this totally ruined our trip, but took this experience down a notch. I'd still come back!
