I ordered the Uni Cavi Hashy for lunch besides the Lunker Roll. The uni Cavi Hashy is a savory dish, that we shared but I could have definitely eaten the whole thing myself. It has crispy buttered hashbrowns, wild uni, osetra caviar, smoked trout roe, and runny egg when you cut it open. I love ordering different dishes every time I come. Parking- street parking

Saw review on Eater. Good news: great vibe, great service.Really good food. Just about every table had the Lobster Roll Trio and with good reason. If that's your thing, can't go wrong. They are like decadent sliders. Great to share. The Salmon and Scallop crudo's both great.Fish and chips pretty average. Nice bar. They take reservations.Bad news: there is zero parking. No valet. Finding street parking is a royal pain in the ass. So be advised.

I first discovered this place on a TV show, so I saved it. A friend generously gifted me a gift card. My daughter and I finally made the hour-long drive. The restaurant is located on a busy side street off Sunset Blvd, with minimal street parking. We ended up parking in the shopping center across the street. The restaurant features an outdoor covered patio, which is right on the sidewalk curb. Inside, the space is small, dark, and intimate. Midway through our meal, the lights were dimmed further, which made reading the menu and seeing our food a bit challenging. We had a 5pm reservation, arrived on time, and were seated quickly. However, it seemed like service would be a bit slow since there was only one server managing both the indoor and outdoor sections. As the evening went on and the place filled up, the service slowed down. We had to flag down the server a few times, but they were always friendly. Here's what we ordered:-Pisco in a Pear Tree Martini - A nice pear flavor, but too sweet.-Caviar Bump - The texture was mushy and not worth the price.-Uni-Cavi Wonton - I didn't try it, but my daughter thought it was just okay.-Calamari - something tasted off...maybe the oil?-Seafood Chowder - This was delicious! I wanted to order a bowl to go, but the service was so slow that I didn't want to wait.-Grilled Octopus - Cooked well, but I've had better.-Wagyu Steak Frites - Cooked medium rare, it was just okay. Fries were delicious!-Bread Pudding (to go) - Again, just okay. We'll definitely stop by again for their clam chowder and perhaps try something else.

I came with my girlfriend and my dog and the outdoor patio was meh if I'm being honest; outdoor ambiance wasn't pleasant mostly because of the smell and also none of the heaters were on even when it was cold and windy. There was a few times when our waiter got our order and came back and said it was either sold out or wasn't available anymore which was a bit disappointing. As for the food, we got 6 glacier point oysters, salmon crudo, and uni cavi wontons. Oysters were really good, salmon was alright but wasn't worth it for me, and the wonton was especially good but took awhile to get to our table. I felt like the price on everything was expensive and I'm not sure I would come back.

Wow! We absolutely loved The Lonely Oyster. We dined for an early NYE dinner, the service, restaurant vibe, and food were all fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the host was accommodating and let us have a nice booth! Our waitress was so kind, answered any questions we had and provided spot-on recommendations. She was attentive and prompt the entire evening! The food was really good! We've tried a few oyster bars in the area that have definitely missed the mark - TLO knocked it out of the park. Shrimp Cocktail - huge, plump, perfectly cooked shrimp, would have loved more cocktail sauce. Recommend! Fried Calamari - cooked just right, lightly crispy, not overly fried, definitely ate more than I meant to. Highly recommend! Fish & Chips - my Brit husband enjoyed this, smaller pieces of fish than a chippy shop but tasty.Pasta with Clams - incredibly tasty, the light garlic sauce was just right, not too seawatery, pasta tasted freshly made, not sure if they make it in-house. Would definitely order again, highly recommend! Octopus - I didn't try it but my dad loved the dish and recommends!Old Bay Fries - the other reviewers are right, these are fab, just get them! Drinks were really good too, I stuck with Pinot Noir but our group ordered dirty martinis and other cocktails and they were all great.I look forward to returning!

I found seafood heaven! I recently stopped by and absolutely loved it! Everything here is so delicious. We started off our meal with a caviar bump and a ceviche mixto. This was followed by a luxurious seafood tower: The Captain. The tower had lobster, clams, mussels, oysters, uni, salmon crudo, ceviche, and scallop aguachile. We also tried the king crabby cavi-bombs, dorado shrimp tacos, lobster roll trio, and the lobster paccheri. The paccheri pasta is made fresh and in-house. Such a tasty labor of love! The pasta was cooked perfectly and it carried the sauce well. I was in the mood for a martini, so I paired my meal with various martinis from their cocktail menu. And yes, one was garnished with an oyster topped with caviar. So fancy! Make sure to check them out soon and they're open for NYE and New Year's Day!

We stopped by here for the first time with early dinner reservations. The restaurant was relatively empty on a weekend so walks in are definitely available. Service was quick and accommodating. We got:-bento box ($25) w/ hand roll, small chowder, and salmon crudo-lobster roll trio ($36)-scallop aguachile ($22)-fainting chair cocktail (w/ mezcal) ($20)-grounds for divorce cocktail w/ bourbon ($16)-oysters ($5 each, minimum of 6)Overall food was good, but pricey for the portion size and what it was. The scallop aguachile, especially was just a small bite for $22. The best item that we got was the trio lobster roll and would come back for that. Otherwise, I think fresh seafood elsewhere would be more reasonably priced.

Mixed feeling about this place, sadly! I loved that the patio is dog friendly and the waitress even offered some water for my dog. However, I came pretty early in the afternoon and they were out of quite a few drinks and types of oysters. I started off with the glacier point oysters (minimum order of 6). They tasted great and came with some sauces to try. I really liked the soy sauce and it came in a fun dropper bottle! I also ordered the salmon crudo, but found it to be a bit pricy for the small cuts of fish. My uni cavi wonton took awhile to come out, but tasted pretty good. Overall, a bit expensive for the portions here.

Cute hidden spot. I heard great things about this place, I finally tried it but wasn't really impressed by my drink or my food. Tried the fall version of the brown butter scallops. It was okay, I would say my favorite thing was the old bay spiced fries.
