the fried cauliflower is to die for here... service is great! lovely quiet intimate lil spot, ambience is low lighting and moody music. great for catching up with friends or a romantic date. parking isn't great in this area so I recommend doing metered parking or parking in a lot. bathrooms are near the lobby entrance (not sure if there's one directly in the restaurant), pretty clean!i wouldn't get the lamb ribs again as it was a bit skimpy in the meat and a tiny bit tough to chew, but everything else was tasty.

A quick stop for lunch, ordered the Exchange Burger. The burger was a nice size and tasted good. The lettuce gave it a nice refreshing crunch and the pickles, although thinly sliced, came through well in the bite.Service was quick and friendly for lunch.Overall, a nice place to stop and a burger that cured my hunger.

Dined here with friends on 4th of July. The place was pretty empty due to the holiday and we were seated right away. I loved all the plants surrounding the restaurant, the decor was comforting and diverse. Our server was sweet and extremely helpful. They even told us about the bar on the rooftop that would be a vibe later that night. We tried the celery and sorrel cocktail and I liked it. Kinda like an alcoholic health drink haha. The sampler is a must! We had hummus, eggplant and tahini with fresh bread. The falafel salad was also delicious. We loved the falafel so much we ordered more. The lamb ribs were very tasty also. The only reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is because the entrees didn't quite hit the mark. My salmon lacked flavor, a lemon or seasoning would have been a good addition.

I came here with my new boyfriend on one of our fist dates and we loved the mood here . The dim lighting and the lovely way the tables are set is sexy . Our server was very attentive and answered all of our questions about the menu . She was lovely. The dish I enjoyed the most was their fried rice . It was delicious . I also recommend the pineapple old fashion. The bartender here knows how to makes it delicious.

I came here for my birthday and the food was really great. They have a great cocktail selection. We did have to send one back though because it was way too sour. Service and food service were a bit slow but I'm still thinking about the food.Salatim Platter ($28)Three of chef's daily selections, pickles, olives & pita bread. This was great to share between 3 people. Eggplant dip was amazing with the fresh pita bread. Their pita bread was the best I've ever had. It came with two pieces. We put in another order but it only came with one piece :( Loved the pickled turnips/cabbage/garlic, olives and the cabbage salad. The hummus was VERY bland.Crab Dip and Potato Chips ($14)Smoked trout roe, chives & espelette pepperWasn't bad but I wouldn't order it again. Was dry and bland. Chips were nice though.Grilled Lamb Ribs ($25)Lapsang honey glaze, cucumber, pea greens, mint & labneh10/10 for this dish. Finger licking good and the salad went great with the lamb.Fried Cauliflower ($16)Zhoug aioli & mintA little overpriced but was delicious. I don't even like cauliflower.I will definitely be back! :)

This place is such a gem! I am wildly obsessed with just about everything on this menu, but my absolute favorites are:- Cocktails: all of 'em - they're all so beautiful and well-crafted!- Smashed cucumber and halloumi: the fresh cucumbers with the crispy fried cheese are a magical combination- Bacalhau fried rice: an old classic with the flavor turned up to 11 (and higher)- Grilled lamb ribs: fall-off-the-bone and savory/sweet deliciousness- Hangar steak: the meat is so flavorful and seasoned to perfection - Broccolini/brussels sprouts: the perfect accompaniment to everything else on the menu- Fried cauliflower: SERIOUSLY cauliflower has no business being this deliciousOn top of the amazing the food, the service here is exceptional. The team here is so lovely, and they make you feel so welcome and taken care of.

I love the food that they offer here. They are very familiar middle eastern flavors, but I feel like the way they see things. It just taste better than most. on top of that I love the way things are laid out. It's a nice place to have a casual meal but feel upscale and pay a fair price. I'm glad they're still around anytime

We came to this location for the restaurant on the rooftop. But they stopped serving dinner at 7pm? Security guard suggested we came downstairs to this restaurant. Food looks presentable, but wasn't really of my liking. I'm also very strict on my food taste as well, so if you are one to try different things. You should definitely try this place out.

The service was good although we had to literally wave someone down towards the end. The ambiance was super cute and there is a rooftop bar as well with views of DTLA.I love Mediterranean food highly recommend the platter with humus eggplant fermented cabbage it was delicious.Took a chance on the chorizo clams it was NOT good weird mix and the kale was a bit salty. Overall it was decent. 3/5 cause food wasn't as good as expected.

Extremely disappointed with my experience here. I made a reservation to celebrate Valentine's Day with my girlfriend. Upon arrival there appeared to be a bit of chaos in the kitchen. We waited for about 15 minutes until a host appeared. He told us the kitchen was a little backed up and if we could wait at the hotel bar until the kitchen got caught up. We thought that was weird as we had a reservation, but we did that. He said it would take about 15 minutes to be seated. About 20 minutes went by with us waiting at the bar. The host never came to get us. At that point we noticed other couples waiting at the bar to be seated at the restaurant. After talking to other couples that were there we discovered that some other folks had been waiting over an hour to be seated. They all had reservations. So a line of people began to form at the hosts station to figure out what was going on. The host continued to state that the kitchen was backed up and they were waiting for them to catch up. But we were all trying to figure out when that would be. He couldn't really give us a time frame. At that point it was very late into the evening on one of the busiest restaurant days of the year. We tried to call around to other restaurants, but everything else was either closed or no longer taking reservations. After waiting over an hour and a half we left and ended up spending our Valentine's Day getting food at a taco truck across the street. We didn't even get to eat at the restaurant. The host seemed overwhelmed and avoidant to talk to anyone. I'm not sure if they were understaffed or they overbooked or what, but the way the situation was handled was extremely unprofessional. Our special Valentine's Day evening was ruined. So disappointed in this experience. The service was absolutely terrible. Can't even review the food cause we didn't get to eat there.
