Modern, flavorful fare in a beautifully Art Deco-themed dining hall. This place is walk-ins only, and when we arrived on a Monday evening the place was bustlingly busy, yet we were promptly greeted by friendly & hospitable staff. The setting is moody with old-school glamour, but the vibe is more of a relaxed, casual bistro. We ordered a variety of happy hour cocktails per our server's recommendations, and several dishes from the Happy Hour and main menu - savory duck confit tacos, tender calamari, melty short rib poutine, housemade cavatelli with pull-apart braised short rib (pleasantly spicy), my partner had "the best" burger he'd had in years - everything was a hit. My group's only complaint is that the music volume made it difficult to hold conversations. (Maybe we're just aging, but it felt a touch too loud - causing us and the surrounding tables to have to compete to talk over it. Would otherwise be a lovely date spot). Still excited to come back and get basically everything on the menu!

Ambiance is nice. I love the high ceiling. The cocktails were okay at best, which was odd considering how many nice liqueurs they have on the shelf. We tried the Cucumber Daiquiri on the happy hour, which had a strange aftertaste. I couldn't tell if it was a poor quality cucumber spirit or muddled cucumber that was too ripe. Lets talk about the service. Our bartender never gave us their name and then proceeded to stand in front of us with their arms crossed out of sheer boredom. It seemed like she was more interested in being security at an Amazon warehouse than bartending. Talk to your guests. This is how you make money. Either that or look busy. Find a task. Wipe down a bottle over and over. Another bartender showed up and was chatting with guests. He only came over to compliment my dates outfit when I went to the bathroom. As soon as I came back, he disappeared. lol. I don't even mind. We were laughing about it, but damn.

What a cool little spot! Came here before heading to the Pantages (which is only 2 miles away, great for getting a bite to eat or cocktail). They have a nice happy hour selection, from cocktails, beer and wine and shareable appetizers. Frenchie, our bartender was very helpful and when he stepped away, any of the other staff were happy to assist. He was also singing and dancing, which makes sense because their playlist was incredible. I had to SoundHound some songs for my own playlist. The food was delicious, we almost ended up ordering another plate of short rib nachos because they were so good! Topped with avocado and a side of green salsa, each nacho was full of flavor. I haven't seen any Downtown Brown on Draft anywhere, so I had to get it. They said they don't always carry it, so I was pleasantly surprised. We also tried their "Spotlight Cocktail" which changes from time to time. This time it was a Gin and Apricot concoction and I'd recommend it but I'm not sure if it'll be there when you go. But I always like trying things that aren't on the menu or seasonal just for an experience that I might have missed otherwise. We went on a Friday night and there were plenty tables but I recommend going to the bar since you get a good view of the place and can have interesting conversations with the bartenders and/or your neighbor.

It is quite hard to miss the rich architecture of the building where The Edmon is. When you step in, it gives the Great Gatsby vibes. Art deco with geometric shapes and lines upon entering thru its doors, plush velvet soft seating at the tables, sleek and sophsticated bar area with soft lighting and great music. This place is perfect for after work drinks or a night on the town. We sat at the bar and were greeted by Frenchie. He was cool energy, singing and dancing as he served up some great drinks. We ordered their Spot light cocktail which was gin based (this cocktail changes each time) and old fashioned. Both were delicious. We also ordered short rib barbacoa nachos which were perfect to share. Overall a great place to check out. Their happy hour is from 4pm - 7pm, reasonable expected cost based on location and parking was easy and convenient. I didn't check out their outdoor area but would be great to go back once weather gets better.

The food phenomenal. Cannot begin to say how top notch the food was. The cocktails left a lot to be desired. Good ideas that were consistently unbalanced. Way too sweet, not sweet enough, flavors that get completely lost due to ratio imbalance ... i wish we could have enjoyed that aspect of it but if you are here for just the food or just a pour of something they have a very good variety of bottles and food is phenomenal.

Cool 1920s Art Deco space with a great happy hour! We decided to stop in here after having dinner a couple blocks away at Kuya Lord. Traffic getting back home looked terrible, and this seemed like the perfect place to grab a drink at to pass some time and wait it out. Opened in 2016, I believe this establishment is located on the first floor of the Hollywood Historic Hotel (est. 1927). While our time here was short and we didn't get to try any of their food, we enjoyed a quick round of drinks. With $8.50 glasses of wine, $5.50 pints of beer, and other specials during happy hour, The Edmon is certainly worth checking out if you're in the area.

$9 Cocktails for their happy hour that ends at 7PM is the way to go. But the "happy hour food" was still inflated hotel prices. We had to get 4 items averaging 14 each for two people to get full and that quickly added up because of how small the portions were.Starting with the cheese croquettes (14) you get.. three ONE bite balls with solid flavor. I was looking under my plate for the rest. The Duck Tacos (14) also come in threes and could be finished in two bites. Skip this. Dry and flavorless. The shrimp tacos (15) were much better than the duck tacos. Also comes in three and flavorful. Tiniest tacos Ive seen. I think street tacos are larger and for $1.75.Chorizo Sliders (14) were forgettable. Not great. The patio is giving converted parking lot pandemic. They tried with shrubbery and plants. Cute enough, but clearly a parking lot. It's a richer vibe inside and for what you're paying, it's best to stay there.I'd come back for the happy hour. Just to drink and catch up with someone for under $10. Drinks were tasty. The tease knees was a bit sour, but still good and very light on the liquor.

I love what they have done with this elegant art deco treasure, The Edmon. Mind you, I remember when they sold elegant fireplace mantels here!! So to see the next gen of this family establishment give a nod to the past in the main bar and kitchen area, as they provide a beautiful indoor environment, as well as an outdoor space that is sheltered from the main traffic noise, is so so welcoming. They have a happy hour until 7pm- - a rare treat to get there after work without the rush. They have late night hours too, and live music! There are creative food items with more than token options for vegans and vegetarians. Thank you! Plenty for the carnivores, too. And the drinks were always delicious beyond expectations compared to the descriptions. Our servers have been very attentive, so very grateful for our overall experiences!!

My husband and I just celebrated our anniversary here. I loved the ambiance and music. Decorations are gorgeous perfect spot for a date night. I thought this would just be a cool bar but man was I wrong! The food was absolutely amazing! Probably the best dinner we've had in a long time. We got the nachos, Cesar salad, and tiger shrimp! All delicious and super flavorful. The sangria was perfectly sweet! And don't miss out on the olive oil cake for dessert! Can't wait to come back'
