My bf took me here for Omakase dinner for my bday. We sat at the counter where we watch our Sushi chef exquisitely, delicately creates the most delicious course of Japanese food we ever had! I know what is best because I have been to a lot of Japanese restaurants around LA but The Brothers Sushi stood out amongst all. Sauce, broth, fish, presentation was above and beyond. Everytime we take a bite, we felt so close to heaven LOL. No kidding it was that damn good. It really takes me back to Tokyo/Osaka. As a matter of fact, my bf made a reservation with his family and cousins since we could not stop bragging about it. Thank you so much! The whole staff are very very kind and nice. My bf made the right choice. We are so happy to find this place.

Came for their lunch omakase and was pleasantly satisfied. The quality of the produce is evident and presented very professionally. No frills, just good sushi prepared and served the right way. This joint be a classic go-to spot in the west side if you are lucky enough to live in the area! If omakase isn't what floats your boat, they have a great a la carte menu as well!

Counter service by chef Mark is a lovely experience. The decor here is as elegant as his knife work; clean, quietly warm; a welcoming space. And at $100, the lunchtime omakase is a steal! There's a series of starters; a fresh salad with tangy dressing, a steaming bowl of miso soup, and they even throw in a dry-aged Ceviche to whet your appetite. You get plenty of pieces with omakase, some fun ones like Baby Sea Bream, Orange Clam hails from Boston, Sea Perch, etc. There are some classics like the Chutoro and Hokkaido Scallop, and some have a nice twist like the Beltfish Tempura and smoked King Salmon. The fresh Ikura is new for me. I'm told that freezing changes the flavor and texture, and this one is not so fishy, with a more dramatic pop. The liquid inside much thinner, and it is awesome. I pay extra for Uni a la carte as the price point makes it prohibitive at lunch, and it's worth it if you like uni. Theirs is so fresh, and you get a thick stack in your gunkan. Any way you slice it, $100 for premium sushi is a steal, especially on the swanky streets of Santa Monica. Probably the best way treat yourself if you're looking for a really nice lunch.

We did the omakase dinner for two which came with a deep variety of dishes, amazing service and unique ambiance, and a detail oriented dining experience. Definitely a culinary journey here, although it was tough to justify the price tag. Even with no alcohol and just two cups of tea, the final bill was close to $700 which I felt was too steep to justify. I'd absolutely come here for lunch on a special occasion to try the $100 omakase.

Ordered the small hand roll kit to go and its sashimi included was phenomenal (except the spicy tuna had a weird flavor). The salmon, yellowtail, and tuna was plentiful and delicious. The packaging was very well done and there was no leakage or soggy stuffs. I also ordered the eringi mushrooms which were light and refreshing. For takeout, I'll be back !

We were able to do a walk in around 7pm. Servers were all super friendly! Waiter was thoughtful with his recommendations. We liked every item we tried, though we are not sure if we would order the cauliflower again. It was good, but I think there are other dishes that are more worth trying next time! - sprouted baked cauliflower - spicy tuna on crispy rice - dry aged kanpachi- toro and radish cut roll- nigiri sushi: toro, salmon, hamachi, hotate, tai- yuzu cheesecake and matcha ice cream

My husband and I came for omakase for lunch and it was delicious! For $100/person, the omakase included- Soup and salad- Appetizer (Fresh fish, citrus-y, and the fried lotus root on top gave it a nice change in texture)- 10 pieces of sushi- TamagoWe were celebrating our anniversary and had what I think was a matcha basque(?) cheesecake for dessert. It was soft, not too sweet, flavorful, I loved it! Everything was delicious but I think my favorites were the amberjack and otoro. I'm drooling just thinking about it again!Service was quick and all of the servers and the chef were so sweet. Although a tad loud inside the restaurant, the aesthetic and design are beautiful. We enjoyed our experience and would love to visit again, maybe to try the dinner omakase!

Excellence. This place has a top rating in a heavy sushi market and it absolutely deserves the props.

Known as one of the most high-end and coveted sushi restaurants in LA, this new location in Santa Monica has been bustling with patrons from the area who have been vying to have a taste. I think the bluefin tuna is a delight here, as well as the seabass butter lettuce, and the Japanese uni. The unique thing is how they provide presentation that is different than your typical sashimi because it decorated, smoked, and sometimes shined in a flavor that is set to linger in a great way. I do think if you've got $200 laying around, you can go for the omakase table option (all good) and can enjoy piece after piece that is sure to make your creative senses emerge. What I don't like about this place is their prices. While it meets the pricing of the area and its patrons, it isn't the best deal for high-end quality sushi in Los Angeles. Regardless, most patrons are left very happy and enthralled with what looks like the only next-level sushi restaurant in the area. While it is not the case, in my opinion, I think you can still a pricey high-end sushi meal here that is true to the craft.

We came here on a double date with some friends from college. The area itself is pretty unassuming but once I walked in, I was greeted with tall ceilings, and a clean and modern look. When walking to our table, I was definitely surprised by the line of knives displayed on the floor. From a depth perception perspective, it slowed me down for a beat :) very cool and edgy (ha!)You can dress to the nines or just casual. Beauty of Santa Monica :).There was the option of omakase for 200/person or a la carte. Thankfully not all members of the table have to get the same option, but they definitely encouraged the omakase option. There were moments where I almost felt excluded because there were items on the omakase menu that were unavailable to us, but we wanted certain items so opted out of the omakase menu. Our friends got the omakase and the level of presentation was on point. Definitely an option if you're super open minded and not control freaks like us :). We got a la carte items and liked each item except for the dessert. We've had sushi at other high end places before and I would say the quality of fish was about on par but I wasn't as impressed with flavor combinations as I have been at other places. This place reminded me of a slightly pricier sushi Jin in Mountain View (we live in NorCal), but their flavor combinations even on a la carte items were incomparable. Got a citrus salad which was great - refreshing with the radishes and clementines. Engawa, tuna, kinmedai, all were good. Love that they had dry aged option and the tea was a flavorful green tea. Dessert was a yuzu cheesecake with ice cream, which sounds awesome but I was less impressed. Flavor was too delicate to make it stand apart from other cheesecakes and the ice cream didn't enhance it in any way. They didn't ask why we barely touched the dessert, which was fine but unlike other fine dining sushi places. I'm not sure I would be back. Quality is good, but you are paying for the ambiance more than the flavor combinations.
