I really wanted to go here because of its history, as the location of a early queer protest in the 1960s, and then the decor, the mix of outdoor and indoor seating, the attentive and helpful service, and the delicious food and drinks made the experience even better.I had the Honey Blonde beer and the Kitty burger because both were on happy hour and both were great! A shoutout to be plant-based version of the burger which was falafel-style and wow it was crisp and juicy all at the same time.

This is a great bar with delicious drinks and better than "bar food". We sat at the bar and had dinner and drinks on a Thursday night. They have purse hooks, as all bars should! I ordered the passion fruit cocktail and it was delicious. We had the Cat Snack (olives, Nuts, pickled veggies) and Brussels sprouts to start. Both were really good. The Brussels sprouts had a good crunch and flavor. My boyfriend ordered the steak and frites. The steak was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The fries weren't too great. They were a bit dry and nothing special.I had the squash risotto. It was creamy with basil pesto flavor and cubes of squash. It was a bit bland, so I added some salt that helped. Overall the service, food and drinks were good. I would order something else if we go back, as there are some other items that look yummy. But overall a nice bar vibe with good food.

This spot we chose for our incredible Saint Valentines Date & what a success! The host was kind and fun and accommodating upon our entrance. Our server Will was so very nice and helped us both choose what we needed to order. The cocktails are a bit on the baby sized but are strong and pack a punch! The amazing Will described a great wine from the Georgian region and it was impeccable. We suggest you order the steak frites and the french onion appetizer with a chocolate soufflé to finish. We will be back and enjoy soon thank you Will & Black Cat! We had the best time.

Great food, amazing service and wonderful ambience. We were able to get a table for two without a reservation immediately on a Saturday night. Food came out very quickly and our server was super nice. Can't ask for much more!

I had dinner here, with a good friend, and the food was amazing! To the point where I've been dreaming about this meal and want to recreate it. I had the steak with watercress salad. Such a simple concept, but it was executed quite well. The service was great, our waitress was licely and checked on us regularly and the inside of the restaurant was just the right about of dark and sexy. Definitely will be going again.

I went on a Friday night, didn't have a reservation but the host was super friendly and able to seat us right away. I had an aperol spritz which was great and I split the chicken sandwich with my fiancé. The sandwich came with fries and was a really large portion, so it was perfect to split. The chicken was a little tough and chewy which wasn't my favorite, but my fiancé said he really liked it.

A cool spot for a night cap or a bite to eat. Crowds always amazing and great for people watching. There's always a good crowd outside which is a plus. But it does get pretty busy during the weekend so seating along the bar can be very limited. There's plenty of seating inside for dining but does get busy as well.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for drinks with a friend. The greeter was friendly and we liked the vibe of the bar especially the cat themed menu. Stayed for a couple hours catching up. The drinks are on the pricier side but hey, it's Silver Lake. My only issue is that the female bartender made the cocktail drinks consistently not filled to the top so on top of a $20 drink, I only received $16 worth of it and had to tip on $20. Everyone in the bar who had a cocktail in a cup were shortchanged when served. However, when the male bartender made drinks, his pours were consistently what you'd expect at a bar. Thank you, male bartender.

Stopped by for a drink here with a few friends and wow what a vibe. It's nice and loungey on the inside with plenty of booth seating. The drinks were also quite solid, and well made. No complaints - and on the stronger side as well! It's a great place for a date or to catch up with a few friends. The space is dimly lit. Music not too loud. There's some bar seating near the entrance as well.The service was kind and quick. We unfortunately didn't get a chance to eat here but would consider it next time! Could see myself coming back since it's in a great walkable location of LA. Definitely a great spot to grab a drink or two then hit another spot! Also a great place to check out that's close to a bunch of restaurants so you could come for pre/post dinner drinks.

Disorganized! Party of 3, checked in with the lady at the front and she said to come in, we sat at a table to be told we couldn't sit. Confused for a bit, not sure what's going on? It was pretty packed but why were we told something different? I've been here before and have had no issue.
