One of my favorite brunch spots right now. They cook everything from scratch here and you can taste it! Everyone I've taken here absolutely loves it. If you go on Sundays cafe Alegria pops up outside and they have the best coffee ever. Made with lots of love and scratch syrups. Overall visit them!

Finally visited this place, I had the chile guajillo chilaquiles with suadero on the side. Tasty although I felt they needed more cheese. I added chile de árbol they offer to my plate. We also tried the tomatillo chilaquiles they could have had some chile along with the tomatillo. Waiter was attentive and gave us suggestions. We came on a Sunday and around 10:00 the restaurant was quickly filling up.

Food was delicious the service was okay the server is unprofessional and needs training the place is very small 4 tables little dark inside due to small size but cute I would definitely go back but order to go due to lack of customer service while your seated Do better, you guys could be doing so much better maybe get a female server or nicer person would've been a 5

Tenampal was definitely worth the drive. From the service, to the unpretentious family owned restaurant ambiance, to the scrumptious chilaquiles, the experience was a 10! I am always torn having to choose between green or red chilaquile sauce, but fortunately, at Tenampal, I can have both! Order them Divorciados. The green sauce has a yummy tangy tomatillo bite, and the Guajillo gives the perfect spicy punch for the chili lovers. Unfortunately, they were out of their popular pistachio flan. Looking forward to my next Tenampal experience.

Still as good as I remember. All three dishes we ordered were loved by each diner. The chef brings a lot of artistry to each dish, so not only does the food taste amazing, it looks gorgeous. And my enormous burrito de suadero (pictured here) tasted even better as leftovers tonight (half of one of these will fill you up). The wait times for food are a little long, so not a great choice if you're in a rush, but definitely worth the wait if you've got time. My one wish is that they served regular coffee. Cafe de Olla is all they serve, which is just too sweet for me. I know I'm not alone on this. Breakfast without coffee is a bit of a bummer. But the Jamaica with a splash of lemonade was REALLY good.

Delicious food! Best beef and chicken flautas! Friendly and attentive staff. Parking is limited.

I came here on a weekend and I was extremely excited to try a local spot in the heart of Boyle heights however the service I received was not good. One of my employees here (I attached the photo) was offended and bothered that I asked if my mother and I can move tables. My mother has a disability and is unable to see clearly so we asked to sit where there was more lighting as their dining area isn't bright. After I asked him if we can move, he started to act rude towards me and ignored my mother and I meanwhile he quickly attended his regular customers. I shouldn't have to explain that my mother has a disability in order for him to understand. It was extremely unprofessional behavior. Area inside is outdated and food was okay, their menu is small and the service was also slow.Don't be fooled by the reviews, the reviews are from their families and friends who have biased opinions. There are much better restaurants nearby to try that offer better customer service.

To start off the service was amazing we were served by Junior he took the time to explain the menu and the way they make everything in house which I think is amazing. The food was delicious everybody in my party got something a little bit different and we would definitely be back to try more of the menu. The ambiance was amazing the whole family were super welcoming and all hard working the music was on point. Overall, in my book it gets a 10/10 can't wait to introduce more people to this place.

The food is DELICIOUS!I recommend trying the chorizo torta and chilaquiles. Apparently the smash burger is really good too and I can't wait to go back and try it.The food is so flavorful and comes out fresh - takes sometime for them to bring out the food because of that reason.The place isn't huge but homely. Our server Anthony was friendly, helpful and attentive. If you're lucky, you might be able to find street parking.I will definitely go back to try other menu items and flan.

Small hole in the wall a bit cold but the food is amazing and the coffee is great.. the Chilaquiles with mole are amazing!!! Highly recommend
