If they're a tea master they must know their stuff, right? After stopping in for a cup of matcha I can confirm that they're masters at crafting quality matcha lattes--but that's just my opinion! This was probably one of my favorite cups of matcha that I've drank in LA.Tea Master Matcha Shop & Green Tea Cafe is a hidden gem that you'll either stumble upon or hunt down. The shop is small and unassuming. Clean and cozy on the inside with some matcha and other tea supplies you can buy. No seating inside but a few tables outside to sip and chill. The ladies working were lovely and efficient. You order and pay at the register and they call out your number or bring it to you. This matcha shop has a small and sweet menu. Soft serve or matcha tea drinks--they're known for the former. I would've loved to try their infamous soft serve but ya girl is dairy-free. For my visit, I opted for an Iced Matcha Oat Latte. The matcha latte was high quality. None of that watered-down or overly sweet stuff you find at other spots. It was slightly sweet, earthy, and well-balanced. Highly recommend and for the price, well worth it!The cafe scene in LA is an eyesore, but from my experience at Tea Master, I know their items are made of quality! I'd love to come back and support this friendly and locally run business in the heart of Little Tokyo! Find their small shop in the shopping plaza where there's paid parking in the lot.

Tea Master's matcha soft serve is some of the BEST I've tried (including those I've had in Japan). It's an instant mood booster for me.Sweet, creamy, & strong matcha flavor.Decently priced compared to other desserts ($6-7 with tax and tip).Ambiance: The inside of the store has beautiful ceramic bowls and cups for sale in addition to matcha to make at home. Only seating is outdoors and you may need to stand and eat on busy days.Service: Cashiers and owners are so sweet and friendly, their energy definitely adds positively to the experience.Parking: The Honda Parking lot is paid so if you're just getting ice cream I recommend street parking (but know the enforcement is heavy in dtla) OR the Brunswig lot for convenience & pricing sake.

Matcha latte offering here only comes with oat milk, not my favorite milk but we ordered one to try along with the soft serve. Overall, it was acceptable but light on the matcha in both the drink and soft serve. The store is cute and has a nice display of tea sets, cups etc. There is a steady stream of customers. Parking can be difficult to find on the street but this center has paid parking of $10.

Review is only for their matcha drinks, which I found to be weak and a little watered-down tasting. Tried to see if they served actual ceremonial grade matcha or have it for sale, but only saw culinary grade powder for sale and only one matcha listed as ceremonial grade to go/to drink. I think their desserts and sugary drinks are probably really good with how they make it, but I took their name literally and was disappointed at the lack of matcha options that would have been specifically geared for the tea purists, at least when I was there.

A hyped for place in little Tokyo for some great matcha dessert in reasonable price. There is only very limited seating place outside this little shop. So get ready to eat/drink just standing outside the shop. The menu only got limited items. And all of them are pretty good. The matcha latte with oak milk is very "matchaly" and not overly sweet. The soft serve is not too heavy. With nice matcha taste. We also tried the ice matcha tea unsweetened. Very refreshing. Overall a nice little shop off the street of the Japanese village. Definitely worth a visit.

A friend of mine who is a matcha lover raved about Tea Master Matcha Cafe. I finally understood the hype after I took that first bite into my soft serve. I got the matcha soft serve which had a premium matcha flavor and was creamy and decadent. It is a small cute tea shop that serves everything matcha. Not pictured is the Matcha Oat Latte that my friend ordered and I'd definitely go back just to get that for myself!!What we tried:- Matcha Soft Serve- Matcha Oat LatteInstagram: @jessgoeat

First time at Tea Master Matcha Cafe & Green Tea Shop. This place was highly recommended to us by my brother and sister in law. We visited on a Sunday afternoon. It's so hard to find good Matcha drinks and yummy Matcha soft serve. We definitely found our spot to satisfy our matcha cravings whether it be tea, hot drink or soft serve. This place also provides excellent customer service from beginning all the way to the end of the transaction. They personally hand your matcha soft serve and Matcha Oat Latte to you and/or at your table. They will provide you with a number and you can wait outside of the shop for your order or at a table, outside. My order consists of 4 matcha soft serve and Matcha Oat Latte hot. Perfectly crafted Matcha Oat Latte. I can taste the matcha and it doesn't over power the oat nor espresso. It's really good. It's so hard to find the right matcha drink but I believe Tea Master Matcha Cafe & Green Tea shop perfected it. The soft serve was perfect in portion and in taste. It's quality matcha not just matcha flavored. Now I know why everyone we know from SFV and SGV go to Tea Master Matcha Cafe & Green Tea Shop to satisfy their matcha cravings. I can't wait to come back and try their Matcha Oat Latte iced.

Came here with a group of 5 and tasted the tofu donuts and the matcha soft serve! Good: - Tofu donut was super unique, I couldn't tell that it was tofu- The soft serve was amazing- so creamy and not too sweet, and the serving size was large enough for 2 people to share or maybe even 3! Bad: - Long lines! Super popular place so you'll wait about 10 min for your order outside and there's limited seating Overall this was a fun hole in the wall gem to find!

This a little spot recommended by fam. Its a small parking lot that looks like it can be a challenge. We came on a Sunday so it was free and convenient! There are some things for sale inside and a few tables with chairs outside. I first tried the hot matcha oat latte. Matcha here is the real deal. The latte is subtle and not too sweet. But the one our whole group was there for was the matcha soft serve. The matcha tastes legit and has a nice and smooth consistency. I really like how its not overtly sweet. The portion is just right. Good pricing for high quality and the staff was great. Thank you Tea Master!

You must get the matcha soft serve here. It's has the creamiest texture caressing your tastebuds with finely grinded tea leaf flavor coming through in the best way possible. If you like matcha, you will be in such bliss with this and must get it!Outside of that, this shop is super cute but very small and with a parking lot. There are a bunch of restaurants nearby so eat some Japanese style pasta then get some dessert at Tea Master Matcha Cafe. Parking in Little Tokyo can be tough but their private lot for the shops here is helpful. It does get full though so take that possibility into account at peak times. This cute little shop is quite literally also a shop, with some matcha and tea related items for sale. A couple of tables outside for sitting.Closed Mondays and Tuesdays!
