Tatsu sushi Japanese cuisine

When it comes to sushi, this is easily the best, highest quality place in the area and it's not even close. My fiancé and I have quickly become regulars and Chef Ike and the staff always welcomes us with big smiles. The quality of fish is incredible. Chef Ike orders in from both Japan and other vendors that he personally chooses. So many recommendations I can give. The salmon belly sushi. Black snapper, jumbo scallop I get every single time. Late post -BFF and I came to satisfy our sushi cravings. It happened to be the first night of a Dodgers game, and the restaurant was bustling with activity. Unfortunately, it would have been helpful if the staff had informed us about the potential delays before we sat down, as it made for a somewhat awkward start.When our server finally approached us, he asked us to mark our choices on the menu--a process that would have been smoother if he had done so from the beginning. Though the restaurant wasn't at full capacity, the influx of takeout orders was evident, contributing to the overall chaos.We didn't have to wait long for our appetizers, which were served promptly, but the main dishes took about 20-30 minutes to arrive. Thankfully, once our sushi rolls began to come out, the wait was quickly forgotten. Each roll was not only beautifully presented but also tasted delicious--definitely a highlight of our evening!While the sushi itself was excellent and hit the spot, the overall service left something to be desired. If you're willing to be patient and enjoy some really good sushi, Tatsu is worth a visit. I returned and the second time was better than the first. The fish and rolls are delicate and flavorful. I'm no expert, but this is some of the best sushi I've experienced. The Fiesta Tuna Roll and Yellowtail Cilantro Jalapeño were prepared exactly how I like. The service was also great again.

Nope. Yikes. Nope nope not for Me and probably not for you either. Kind of smelled like mold and cleaning supplies . They need a different waitress and the food was a tad on the nauseating side. Ok?

Good rolls, fish is pretty fresh. The few times I've been here it has never been busy but service has been slow.

I got the chirashi bowl via delivery. Small portion and not the freshest of fish. The rice wasn't great either. But the dish was edible, so ate it. Came with flower and decorative items, but I'd rather it include more food.

This is what I would call a neighborhood gem. It sits on the outer edge of Burbank, literally, a few feet from the Toluca Lake/North Hollywood border.I visited here with my daughter on a Tuesday evening. It wasn't very busy and we sat right away. We had the option to sit at the bar but elected a table. Later, patrons showed up that seemed to be regulars, sat at the bar, and were welcomed enthusiastically by the chef and staff, as were we went we entered the restaurant. We had an assortment of items during our first visit, including the yellowtail cilantro jalapeño sashimi, Tatsu Blossom , and several pieces of sushi including salmon, yellowtail and halibut. Everything was well presented and so fresh and delicious.Will be back for more in the months and years to come.

3.8 My buddy and daughter had sushi. Didn't feel like a sushi boy this evening, so I ordered Ramen. Typical delicious Ramen. If you don't eat sushi, there's an alternative.

Came here the other day and had a pleasant experience. Service was good, staff was friendly and food came quick. I didn't order much but the roll I got I really liked. It was the Spicy Garlic albacore roll. The restaurant is small and cozy so it was perfect for a dinner with my best friend.
